Simon Cowell says Kylie Minogue won’t quit The Voice

Simon Cowell says Kylie Minogue will return to ‘The Voice’.

The ‘X Factor’ boss has predicted the ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ hitmaker will return for another year in her role as a coach on the rival TV talent show and dismissed claims her touring commitments could be a potential stumbling block.

He told The Sun newspaper: "My gut feeling is that Kylie is coming back. I don’t believe all this ‘commitments’ stuff."

However, insiders have claimed the singer mentioned her tour dates – which run in September and November later this year – as a way to convince BBC bosses to move the blind auditions to accommodate her schedule.

A source said: "Kylie is being rather playful suggesting she won’t be able to return because of her tour. What she appears to be saying to the BBC is, ‘Move the dates’.

"Her team as convinced she’s coming back. Filming ‘The Voice’ is hardly the most taxing thing for her and there’s a huge cheque on the table."

Meanwhile, despite Kylie claiming she won’t return and judges will.i.am and Ricky Wilson both suggesting they wouldn’t be back without her, BBC1 chief Charlotte Moore has hinted the full panel – completed by Sir Tom Jones – will stay together for another year.

She said: "The new line-up has really connected with audiences and I look forward to it returning."
