Lorde likes being a role model

Lorde thinks it is "cool" to be a role model.
The 17-year-old singer - who won Best International Female at the BRIT Awards last night (19.02.14) - doesn't want to "preach" to her fans, but thinks it is nice that people are interested in hearing her opinions.
She told the new issue of America's Vogue magazine: "There's a fine line between role model and preaching to people. I never want to tell anyone how they should be, especially not someone my age. But, that being said, I'm conscious of the fact that people my age are reading what I say and listening to what I say, and that's cool, particularly for the girls who are into what I do."
When it comes to her own inspirations, the 'Royals' hitmaker singled out David Bowie and Grace Jones because they have their own sense of self.
Asked whose style she admires, she said: "People like Grace Jones and David Bowie, who have a sense of themselves."
And when it comes to her own wardrobe, Lorde looks for outfits that make her feel "powerful".
She said: "The kind of clothes that I've found I like to wear over the past year and six month have all been things that make me feel powerful and strong. I wear a lot of pants I wear a lot of long structure dresses."

Justin Guarini ‘secretly dated’ Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson's fellow 'American Idol' finalist Justin Guarini claims they had a secret relationship.
The 'Because of You' hitmaker - who is expecting her first child with husband Brandon Blackstock - won the first series of the show in 2002, and the runner-up claims they began a romance when they starred together in movie 'From Justin to Kelly' but separated when her career grew more successful while his stalled.
According to a review posted on website Mcall.com, Justin told the audience at his 'Lovesick' one-man cabaret show in Pennsylvania last week about the romance, and also with another 'Idol' contestant from his series, the fourth-placed Tamara Gray.
Justin - who has two children with wife Reina - has previously described Kelly as being "like a sister" to him.
He also said in 2012: "We've just always been such good friends. Um, man, it was weird; she was like my sister on the show, and then you know, we made a movie together. ... I'd say, we had a good time. Yeah."
And speaking around the release of 'From Justin to Kelly', the 'Stronger' singer was quick to dispel talk of a romance with her co-star.
Kelly insisted at the time: "We're like brother and sister."

Mila Kunis enjoys casual dates with Ashton

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have "white T-shirt night".
The couple enjoy going on low-key dates together doing the things they "love", but enjoy hanging out at home just as much.
Asked her perfect date, the 30-year-old beauty told America's Cosmopolitan magazine "I'll tell you, we have a thing called white T-shirt night, and it's when you wear jeans and a white T-shirt and you go on a date.
"Nothing fancy, it's just something that you love to do. And whether that's bowling or dinner or going to a cheese shop and have some wine or walking around. I think that's just the best thing to do - and sometimes it's just nice to stay home."
Despite regularly topping polls because of her good looks, Mila - who has been dating the 36-year-old actor for almost two years - insists she doesn't consider herself "sexy".
When quizzed whether she considers herself to be sexy, she said:
"Oh no, no. I really don't. I don't see myself as not-sexy, it's just not [one of] the top 40 adjectives I would use to describe myself. But I do see myself as confident, but if someone sees me as sexy I'm not going to argue that and say, "No I'm not, you're crazy.' I'll just say 'Thank you' politely."

Lamar Odom still in touch with Khloe Kardashian

Lamar Odom "always" speaks to Khloe Kardashian.
The basketball player was served divorce papers from the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star in December following months of rumours he was addicted to crack cocaine and cheated on her with several different women, but he insists they are still in regular contact.
He said: "I always speak to Khloe. She's my wife."
Lamar is relocating to Spain to play basketball with the Spanish franchise Laboral Kutxa, and he credits the support he received from Bruce Jenner - who split from Khloe's mother Kris Jenner after 22 years of marriage in October - with his making the move to get his career back on track.
He told 'Access Hollywood': "Bruce is... he means a lot to me. Bruce is one of the reasons why I am going to do this.
"And of course my family. They stood by me."
Lamar - who is still wearing his wedding ring - also confirmed he is still in touch with his estranged mother-in-law.
He said: "I left Kris a message today. [I'm] always texting back and forth with Bruce. Hopefully they'll be able to come see me soon."

Amy Adams praises Philip Seymour Hoffman

Amy Adams has paid tribute to "beautiful spirit" Philip Seymour Hoffman.
The 39-year-old actress was interviewed just days after her 'Doubt' co-star passed away from an apparent drugs overdose earlier this month, and couldn't keep her emotions in check.
Asked about Philip on an episode of 'Inside the Actors Studio' - which aired in the US last night (19.02.14) - she tearfully said: "Gosh, I wish you could all get a chance to work with him. He was beautiful, a beautiful spirit. And he has this unique ability to see people, really see them."
Amy says she will "miss" the actor - who had children Cooper, 10, Tallulah, seven, and five-year-old Willa with estranged partner Mimi O'Donnell - and finds it tough to talk about him.
She added: "And he will be missed. Sorry, I really ...I just really loved him and I know so many people did, and I just don't know how much more I can talk about it now. Sorry."
'The Hunger Games' actor reportedly fell off the wagon in 2012 after being sober for more than 20 years and he entered rehab in May 2013.
Philip was allegedly found with around 70 bags of heroin inside his apartment after Mimi, who had recently kicked him out of their home in an act of "tough love," sent his friend David Bar Katz over to check on him when he failed to show up to spend time with their children.
Some 400 mourners, including Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore and Diane Keaton, attended Philip's private funeral at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Manhattan earlier this month.

James Franco defends Shia LaBeouf

James Franco hopes Shia LaBeouf doesn't ruin his career in his quest to show he is an "artist".
The 'Spring Breakers' star believes the 27-year-old actor's recent antics - which have included a silent art installation called #IAMSORRY, donning a paper bag on his head for the German premiere of 'Nymphomaniac' and repeatedly insisting on twitter that he is no longer famous - are part of a bid for him to "reclaim his public persona".
He wrote in an essay for the New York Times newspaper: "This behaviour could be a sign of many things, from a nervous breakdown to mere youthful recklessness.
"For Mr. LaBeouf's sake I hope it is nothing serious. Indeed I hope - and, yes, I know that this idea has pretentious or just plain ridiculous overtones - that his actions are intended as a piece of performance art, one in which a young man in a very public profession tries to reclaim his public persona...
"I think Mr. LaBeouf's project, if it is a project, is a worthy one. I just hope that he is careful not to use up all the good will he has gained as an actor in order to show us that he is an artist."
Franco - who also compared Shia's actions with those of Marlon Brando and Joaquin Phoenix - said he understood what the 'Transformers' star was trying to do because he himself has done his best to change ideas of what people expect from Hollywood stars.
He wrote: "At times I have felt the need to dissociate myself from my work and public image. In 2009, when I joined the soap opera 'General Hospital' at the same time as I was working on films that would receive Oscar nominations and other critical acclaim, my decision was in part an effort to jar expectations of what a film actor does and to undermine the tacit -- or not so tacit -- hierarchy of entertainment."

Oprah Winfrey loves being alone

Oprah Winfrey "recharges" by being alone.
The 60-year-old talk show host - who has been in a relationship with author and speaker Stedman Graham since 1986 - is always content to be on her own and never worried about not having other people to do things with.
She said: "[My best friend] Gayle [King] will tell you, Stedman will tell you that I am really happy being with myself and my thoughts. Gayle will say, "What are you doing? Are you being alone with your thoughts?
"I really get recharged from being alone. I spend a lot of time - I mean Stedman's on the road a lot so I spend a lot of time with myself and the dogs and I really enjoy that because I never feel like, 'Oh gee, I don't have anybody to do anything with or..' and I spend more time alone than anybody would even imagine."
And when she is home alone, Oprah doesn't even need the background noise of her TV to keep her company.
Her friend Gayle said: She could live in a house and never turn on a TV. I can't imagine but it's true.
"I've been to her house sometimes and she doesn't even know how to turn on the TV, like 'Where is the remote?' She's just not one of these people that's a big TV watcher. So she's not -- it's not something that she's just saying. It's true."
However, the 'Butler' actress insists she couldn't live without her beloved books.
Speaking on 'Piers Morgan Live', she said: "Now, I'm content being alone but if you put me alone and they were no books around and there was no way to have any kind of, you know, engagement with the outside world through books that would be a very sad situation."

Charlie Sheen’s fiancee is married

Charlie Sheen's new fianceé is already married.
The 'Anger Management' star got engaged to Brett Rossi earlier this month but he won't be able to make her his fourth wife for some time as she is in the process of divorcing her spouse Jonathan Ross.
Jonathan - who is representing himself in the proceedings - filed for divorce from the porn star on July 18 2013, but she didn't file a response until January 30 2014, two weeks before she got engaged to Charlie.
Brett - who had been married to Jonathan for a year - is being represented in the case by Charlie's lawyer Mark Gross, and insiders expect the proceedings to be resolved quite soon.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "The divorce between Brett and Jonathan is going to be finalised in the next few months, if not sooner. There isn't anything that is being contested."
Charlie - who already has grown-up daughter Cassandra with former girlfriend Paula Profitt, daughters Sam, nine, and Lola, eight, with second wife Denise Richards and twin sons Bob and Max, four, with former spouse Brooke Mueller - recently admitted he is "open" to having kids with his 24-year-old fiancee, but says they don't plan to do so just yet.
He said: "I'm having way too much fun with her right now. So much fun it should be illegal."
Charlie married for the first time in 1995, to Donna Peele, but they split a year later.

Katy Perry hosted private BRITs party

Katy Perry held a private party after the BRIT Awards last night (19.02.14).
The 'Roar' hitmaker - who had performed at the ceremony at London's The O2 earlier in the evening - was joined at the bash at The Box nightspot by stars including BBC Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw, Lorde, Jessie J and Pixie Lott,
Katy dashed to the club from Universal Music and Soho House's after party at One Embankment in central London, where she played a 30-minute DJ set with BRIT winners Lorde and Ellie Goulding.
Nick, 29, was partying at Warner Music's bash at The Savoy Hotel, sponsored by Belvedere Vodka, before he announced he was heading to party with Katy.
He tried to drag pal Douglas Booth along before jumping into a taxi with a group of friends, which included comedian Jack Whitehall and Peaches Geldof.
Nick, who also hung out with Disclosure and Kate Moss while party-jumping during the night, later posted a photograph with Katy on his Instagram, along with the caption: "Mom & Dad are out for the night."
The presenter is rumoured to be in the running to replace James Corden as the host of the BRIT Awards next year.
