Kim Kardashian snubbed by president

Kim Kardashian was upset to be snubbed by US President Barack Obama this week.
The reality TV star had reportedly hoped to meet the commander-in-chief at Steven Spielberg's USC Shoah Foundation gala in Los Angeles on Wednesday (07.05.14) and though she wasn't seated near the guest of honour, she asked one of her entourage to find out if he would meet her, only for her request to be denied.
A source said: "Kim's table wasn't close to President Obama's but she enlisted one of her minions to scout out the opportunity to meet him.
"Obama's table and surrounding area was swarming with Secret Service, and security was very tight. Kim's lackey was told to go pound sand, and it was conveyed to Kim that she wouldn't be able to meet him."
Kim - who is engaged to Kanye West, the father of her 10-month-old daughter North - was particularly disappointed not to meet the president as he met with filmmaker Spielberg and some of his friends at his table "for about an hour" after the director had presented him with the Ambassador for Humanity award.
The source added to RadarOnline.com: "Kim was let down and disappointed. She didn't understand why she just couldn't say hello to him. Ever since landing the Vogue cover, her ego is even more out of control. In her mind, she and Kanye are more popular than the President Obama and the First Lady!"
Despite her upset, Kanye - who has twice been branded a "jackass" by the president - advised his fiancee not to be upset by the snub.
The source said: "Kim truly thinks she is American royalty, and she and Kanye are a global couple powerhouse. She doesn't understand why President Obama wouldn't want to meet her.
"Kanye told her not to bother wasting her time with Obama because he is a hater. Yes, Kanye actually said that!"

Ronnie Wood selling nude wife portrait

Ronnie Wood is selling a nude painting of his wife for £200,000.
The Rolling Stones rocker currently has the portrait of Sally Humphreys on display at the Castle Fine Art gallery in London's Mayfair, where he is artist-in-residence, but art lovers can take the picture home if they can afford the staggering price tag.
The picture, which is simply titled 'Sally', features a likeness of the brunette theatre director, 36, on her knees lifting her arms above her head.
The 66-year-old rocker - who married Sally in December 2012 - has previously spoken of how he feels "possessed" when creative inspiration strikes.
He said: "When I get inspired, I get almost possessed and I just have to paint. There is no kind of therapy like the one you have from starting and seeing a picture through to the end."
And though it is unclear when the 'Paint it Black' star painted Sally's portrait, it may not have been recently as he is currently on tour and has previously said he doesn't work much on his art when he is focused on his music.
He has said: "I get the musical mode when I'm on tour - I might do a few sketches - but I'm mainly concentrating on the music. Then when the tour's over I can relax and I then find myself getting the brush out. Music and art is very relaxing to me."

Courtney Love wrote Kurt Cobain ‘bitch’ note?

Courtney Love has claimed she wrote a note found in Kurt Cobain's wallet calling her a "bitch with zits".
The Hole singer, who was married to the Nirvana star until his suicide in 1994, says she wrote the bizarre message mocking their marriage vows, which was found on his person by police.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, she said: "Obviously I wrote it - don't you guys understand sarcasm?"
The note, which was released by the Seattle Police Department 20 years after Kurt's death last month, reads: "Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife. Even when she's a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring. (sic)''
Courtney, 49, who has 21-year-old daughter Frances with Kurt, also believes the media is involved in a witch-hunt to pin the late rocker's death on her.
She said: "It endangers me, and it endangers Frances."
Courtney's estranged father Hank Harrison is among those who claims she is responsible for Kurt's suicide and has written a new book about the subject.
The star added: "I try to avoid [Harrison] at all costs, but I saw his comments. He said, 'She's a sociopath, like me.' So you're admitting to the media that you're a sociopath? If I was his PR guy I'd be like, 'Shut the f**k up already.' "

Nick Lachey loves ‘maternal’ Vanessa

Nick Lachey finds his wife "sexier than ever" since they had a child together.
The 40-year-old singer loves watching spouse Vanessa caring for their 19-month-old son Camden and says the little boy has brought out a new side to her personality.
He said: "My wife's maternal side is a new dynamic to her personality - and it's definitely made her even sexier."
The couple - who married in July 2011 after five years of dating - dote on their little boy but also treasure their alone time when Camden goes to bed.
Vanessa explained to Parents magazine: "We put on some music or a favourite TV show, pour a glass of wine, have dinner - that's our 'alone time'
"When you've got the little one between you, it's not as romantic as when the two of you are alone."
And it doesn't matter where in the world they are, the pair always stick to a schedule to get their son to sleep by 7.30pm.
Vanessa said: "Whether we're in New York or Cincinnati or on vacation, as long as he gets his story, sound machine, and song, he's good."
Both Vanessa, 33, and Nick are keen to have more children, but will wait a while so their offspring don't have to "share" friends - though they won't leave it too late.
Nick said: "You don't want kids to have to share the same group of friends."
Vanessa added: "But you don't want them so far apart that they have nothing in common."

Kim Kardashian hard to buy for

Kim Kardashian's best friend doesn't know what to buy her as a wedding gift.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star is set to marry Kanye West - with who she has 10-month-old daughter North - later this month, and her pal Jonathan Cheban is struggling to come up with a present idea beyond something personalised as they already have "everything".
He said: "It's very hard. It's going to take me the next two weeks to find them a gift and hopefully I'll get it in time. But I think with a couple like that it's got to be something monogrammable, something very special because...they have everything."
Jonathan also admitted he hasn't been out much recently because he doesn't want to be quizzed about the upcoming nuptials and is determined to stay silent on the subject.
Co-hosting E! News, he was pressed on what he wanted to reveal about the wedding but said: "Absolutely nothing.
"It's not fair to her/ It's a big, private day, and I'm not going to be the one to ruin it. I'm not getting killed at dinner tonight!"
"You guys figure out your own rumours, but almost everything's a lie. That's all I'm saying.
"I just keep my mouth shut, you know, and it's going to be a really special day and that's it."

Reese Witherspoon’s name advice

Reese Witherspoon thinks it is important a man can "whisper" a girl's name.
The 38-year-old actress - who is married to Hollywood agent Jim Toth and was previously wed to her 'Cruel Intentions' co-star Ryan Phillippe - was caught on camera at the Met Ball on Monday (05.05.14) by model Cara Delevingne giving out love advice to friends including Kate Upton and Zooey Deschanel.
In the clip, which has since been deleted from Cara's Instagram account, she says: "[You know] what's the most important thing in a name -- for a girl? It's that a man can whisper it into his pillow."
In the clip, which was recorded in an elevator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Reese had begun by declaring her love for the British model - but admitted she had problems pronouncing her name.
She said: "If you force me to say your last name, I'll be f***ed. I love you Kara. Cara. I don't know what your f***ing name is. That stupid French."
However, she then looked up from her cell phone straight into the camera and pronounced the 21-year-old model's name perfectly.
Cara had uploaded the video with the caption 'the confusion', posting: "The confusion @reesewitherspoon @zooeydeschanel @tennesseebunny @kateupton #HAHAHAHA #loveyouladies (sic)"

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones ‘doing great’

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are "doing great".
The couple took a break from their 13-year relationship last August, but the 'Behind the Candelabra' star says they now have things back on track.
He said: "I think we're always working it out. Two people choose to work it out, we're doing great thank you. We're very close and everything's going great."
The 69-year-old actor - who has son, Dylan, 13, and daughter, Carys, 11 with Catherine, 44, as well as grown-up son Cameron from his marriage to Diandra Douglas - says he has learned not to take his wife for granted and his attention is focused more on her than anyone else.
Speaking to Gayle King for 'Entertainment Tonight', he said: "You don't take love for granted... Sometimes we spend more efforts with people that are strangers in terms of making an impression than the person that's closest to us. And you just gotta remember not to take for granted that person that's closest to you."
Meanwhile, Michael has suffered an injury after "getting carried" away at his son's recent Bar Mitzvah, a ceremony which marked Dylan's coming-of-age into the Jewish faith.
Referring to the horah, a type of dance where the honouree and their family members are raised up on chairs, Michael told the New York Post newspaper:
"I'm hurting. I don't know whether it's my groin or a hernia. I got carried away at my son's bar mitzvah this weekend. You know they put you up in the chairs over the top -- I think something happened there."
