Diane Keaton used to consume up to 20,000 calories a day when she was battling with bulimia.
The 68-year-old actress, who suffered with an eating disorder in her twenties, admits she would snack on calorific treats and the make herself vomit and, although she no longer makes herself regurgitate food, she believes she will always be an "addict in recovery".
Speaking on 'The Dr Oz Show', she said: "It was, of course, the lowest point of my life ... I was a fat person, I was an obese person, who had somehow tricked myself and managed to hide it. So when you're living with a lie for four years ... all I did was feed my hunger, so I am an addict. It's true. I'm an addict in recovery, I'll always be an addict. I have an addictive nature to me."
However, the blonde beauty insists she's no longer addicted to food and has switched her attention to her adopted children Duke, 13, and Dexter, 18.
She added: "Now it's [my addiction is] work orientated or trying to raise my children as best I can, even though they're teenagers and not really children anymore.
"But really, I identify with those people [bulimics] and I feel for them."

Kate Hudson doesn't dress for Matt Bellamy's approval.
The 35-year-old actress admits she likes to look nice for herself and her girlfriends, rather than for the Muse frontman, whom she has been dating for four years.
Speaking to E! News, she explained: "Matt's not fussy. Matt likes feminine. Sometimes I'll come out in something low cut and tight, but if I come out in like a flowy dress, Matt likes that. But I don't dress for Matt! I dress for my girlfriends! I dress for me and my girlfriends.
"Girls dress for each other, don't we? Guys don't really care what we wear and they don't get it."
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty, who has been engaged to Matt for three years, recently admitted she would like to get married "sooner rather than later".
She said: "We still don't have any plans to get married, but eventually we will... probably sooner rather than later."
However, Kate - who has 10-year-old son Ryder from her marriage to Chris Robinson and two-year-old son Bingham with Matt - has already ruled out this summer for kick-starting her wedding plans because both she and her beau are too busy with their globe-trotting careers at the moment.
She said: "We got a busy summer. We're really looking forward to it. I'm shooting a movie and so you know, we're doing a bunch this summer."

Shailene Woodley is glad her boobs have shrunk.
The 22-year-old actress had to lose weight for her role as an ill teenager in 'The Fault in Our Stars', which meant her breasts have got smaller, but she insists it's a positive thing because she no longer has to wear a bra.
She explained: "I'm in a place where I feel healthier than I've ever been, and my body is exactly where it wants to be. I feel like I'm a woman. My boobs shrank. No one tells you that when you lose weight. No bra, no problem!"
The blonde beauty admits the heartbreaking movie - based on a teenage cancer patient - made her re-evaluate her life and the way she treats herself and others around her.
She explained to InStyle magazine: "It changed my whole life and put things in perspective. I realised I was good at being outwardly positive because that's how I am by nature. But internally? I was so mean to myself.
"Realising I needed to make a shift was a big moment for me. 'F**k you, insecurity. F**k you, lack of confidence!' When I finally realised I have to live life for myself and not for anyone else is when I started being more generous and kind and grateful. I was able to give back more."

Chrissy Teigen wants to have "a lot" of children.
The 28-year-old model thought she would have already started a family with her husband John Legend by now, but she insists when they do take their relationship to the next level, she wants a brood like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
Speaking on HuffPost Live, she explained: "I swear to you, I thought I would've had one [a family] by now. So, hopefully we'll just have this Angelina-Brad-type brood. I would love that ... I definitely want a lot of kids, though, and he [John] does as well."
Angelina and Brad have adopted children Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, and Zahara, nine, as well as biological children Shiloh, seven, and five-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, and Chrissy insists she too will adopt in the future as well.
When asked if she and John would adopt children, she replied: "Oh definitely, of course, very open to that."
The brunette beauty, who married the 'All of Me' hitmaker last year after six years of dating, would like to have at least four children and has already started imagining her life with the youngsters running around.
She explained: "I would love four [children] because I have a very small family, so I would love to have those big Thanksgiving dinners. In my mind, I have this imagination where I picture everyone gathered around the dinner table and hopefully that ends up working out. "

Jaime King spent four years trying to have a baby.
The 'Hart of Dixie' star welcomed her first child James into the world in October with her husband Kyle Newman, but she admits conceiving the tot took almost half a decade.
Speaking to ABC News, she explained: "This baby was a long time in the making and I feel like the universe put a little extra magic dust in him. He's, like, the happiest, most joyful, social and loving [baby]."
The 35-year-old actress believes her pregnancy was a "blessing" and she was determined to enjoy it, but also make sure her baby was happy and healthy.
She explained: "Everything takes on a new meaning. It took a long time to get pregnant--for me the baby was such a blessing that the most important thing for me was that I was active. I was never obsessive about dieting or exercise. I didn't care how much I gained. I just wanted to make sure he was healthy."
The blonde beauty has been taking James - whose Godmother is Jessica Alba - to work with her because she wants him to know that his mother is looking after him.
She said: "He's been on set with me every single day, always laughing and giggling and happy. He does a really good job of sleeping through the night, he's just an awesome child ...
"I'm always trying to set up a way he can be with me, that's why I bring him to set with me. I want him to know his mother's with him, because that's the way I was raised."

Katie Price's best friend has admitted she had an affair with Kieran Hayler.
Jane Pountney, 49, released a statement today (09.05.14) insisting she "deeply regrets" her seven-month sexual relationship with the former glamour model's third husband.
The statement, which was released by Jane and her husband Derrick, said: "It is true that Jane and Kieran Hayler had an affair. This is something that Jane deeply regrets and we will not provide any more details about it."
The mother of two's "full blown sexual affair" with the builder was revealed on Wednesday (07.05.14) when Katie announced she was divorcing the father of her eight-month-old son Jett due to his deceitful actions.
Katie, who has recently discovered she's six months pregnant with Kieran's second child, tweeted at the time: "Kieran is a disgusting human being doing this after I've just had a baby and still doing it till I caught them

The blonde beauty later released a statement on her official website, claiming her earlier outburst on the social networking site was a sign of her "heart breaking".

The 35-year-old actress, who admits she's made love on a plane before, revealed the craziest place she's ever had intercourse was in between two rail carriages.
Speaking on SiriusXM's 'Sway in the Morning', she said: "I am part of the Mile High Club. Ok this is ghetto, but I'm from Queens so whatever, there is a train from Coney Island [New York] all the way back into the city, and it [the sex] was between two train cars, it was super ghetto."
However, the brunette beauty, who is married to Marco Perego, insists she's changed her ways and won't be getting physical on a public mode of transport again.

The 'Fading Gigolo' star - who raises sons Roan, 13, Laird, eight, and seven-year-old Quinn - puts her children's homework and art on display where she can see them when preparing food, and when she has images of herself published they're added to the wall as well.
Sharon explained on US Chat show 'The Talk': "I have little children and their birthdays are this month, they're gonna be eight and nine and 14. And so we have, I put all their homework up in the kitchen, we put up everything they do when they get good marks and their art and when I get a picture in a magazine we tape it up with the homework."
Sharon - who split from boyfriend Martin Mica in January 2013 - made it onto PEOPLE magazine's 50 Most Beautiful Women 2014 list, which Lupita Nyong'o topped, but her son insists she's his number one.
She gushed: "My nine year old goes 'Mummy's in the magazine', he goes 'It's right there on the wall, and she's the number one.'"

James Franco is giving fans what they "want" when he posts revealing seflies.
The 36-year-old actor - who recently posted an image on Instagram of himself topless, looking into the mirror with his hand in his pants - insists he doesn't think these pictures are particularly offensive but admits they get a lot of "attention".
Speaking on the 'Late Show with David Letterman', he said: "There's a lot to get straight here and I don't know if we even have time. To me it's a fun thing, it's the sort of thing I don't put a lot of thought into, but it gets a lot of attention. I have a lot of followers on Instagram."
James believes these pictures are not a problem since they're not in an open space.
The hunk explained: "It's not like I'm putting that on billboards. I sensibly Instagrammed it for my fans, now the bloggers are following me on there. So they'll just take it and use my images for whatever they want."
However, when the 'This Is the End' star was quizzed further on the matter he insists people shouldn't follow him on social media him if they don't like what they see.
The host said: "You will be the first to admit, looking objectively, it's provocative."
James replied: "I didn't ask you to look at it, it's what the people want. You don't want to see it, don't follow me. Don't follow me on Instagram."
