Kanye West has revealed he first proposed to Kim Kardashian seven years ago.
The 'Clique' hitmaker, who previously admitted he fell in love with the reality TV star long before they started dating in 2012, has suggested he originally asked his now-wife to marry him while she was still in a serious relationship with NFL star Reggie Bush and he was engaged to his former fiancée Alexis Phifer.
The 37-year-old rapper told the crowd during his performance at London's Wireless Festival on Friday night (04.07.14): "I told Kim seven years ago I would marry her and I made it happen."
He added: "I just wanted to make something awesome and be awesome and change the world, and that's exactly what I plan to do."
Kim dated Reggie for three years from 2007 to 2010, while Kanye started dating designer Alexis in 2002 and got engaged to her in 2006, before ending their relationship in 2008.
The couple, who have 12-month-old daughter North, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Florence, Italy in May after getting engaged in San Francisco on Kim's 33rd birthday in October, and Kanye previously admitted during an interview with Ryan Seacrest: "I just knew I wanted her to be my girl for a long time. I remember I saw a picture of her and Paris Hilton, and I remember telling my boy, 'Have you seen that girl Kim Kar-dijon?' "
However, it seems Kanye's romantic declaration wasn't enough to impress the crowd, as hundreds of fans reportedly left the gig early when he halted his performance to give a 20-minute speech about discrimination within the fashion industry, according to the MailOnline.
He told the audience: "I'm not going to mention any names but... Nike, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Don't discriminate against me 'cos I'm a black man making music."
One fan said: "He was laying into the 'machine' and ranting about the public's perception of him. Hundreds of people left the park early because they were so bored of his long rant.
"There was serious booing towards the end of the speech, as people got so fed up and just wanted to hear him perform."

Jessica Simpson has banned guests from taking photographs at her wedding.
The 33-year-old beauty, who is reportedly set to marry her fiancé Eric Johnson at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, at 4pm tomorrow (05.07.14), has warned her family and friends they won't be allowed to capture any special moments at their nuptials, as they have inked a lucrative magazine deal for the occasion.
A source told the MailOnline that the 'With You' hitmaker, who has two-year-old daughter Maxwell and 12-month-old son Ace with former NFL star Eric, sent a strict email out to her guests, instructing them not to bring any cell phones or cameras to the venue.
The lengthy invitation reads: "Please note that there will be no cell phones or cameras allowed at the wedding location. We kindly ask you to leave your cell phones and cameras in your hotel room or check them in upon arrival with our security team. Security will be checking all guests upon arrival."
The couple's wedding weekend will kick off this evening (04.07.14) with a bash for America's Independence Day, themed 'Let's Celebrate the Red, White and Blue,' ahead of their black-tie "rustic chic" nuptials tomorrow evening.
The invitation states: "On the 4th of July, guests will be allowed to have their phones and cameras. We look forward to sharing the photos and intimate moments from this day with our guests only. We kindly ask you to refrain from posting images or details on your social networking sites in order to respect and protect our privacy.
"We hope that this weekend leaves you with memories that will last a lifetime."
The former 'Fashion Star' judge, who announced she was engaged to Eric in November 2010, was previously married to Nick Lachey and has hired the same wedding planner, Mindy Weiss, for her second trip down the aisle.
The celebrity party planner said: "I'm really excited about it."
This will also be Eric's second marriage, as the 34-year-old Yale graduate was previously married to Keri D'Angelo for five years before their divorce was finalised in October 2010.

Lea Michele has insisted she isn't pregnant after seemingly announcing the news.
The 'Glee' star, who recently started dating Matthew Paetz, was forced to deny she is expecting her first child after her Twitter account was hacked today (04.07.14).
A spokesperson for the 27-year-old actress cleared up the rumour shortly after the following post appeared on her social media page: "Before this gets out to the media, I would like to announce to my fans that I am pregnant #BabyBoy (sic)"
The fake tweet came just one day after Lea's co-star Chris Colfer was hacked with a message that he was fired from the series for personal reasons.
After his spokesperson denied the tweet was authentic, the actor joked: "Apparently I missed quite the INTERESTING day while aboard my flight. I'm just glad I wasn't 'killed by a fruit truck' again."
Lea and her new beau reportedly have an "open type of relationship" and are taking things slowly, as he is the first person she has dated since the death of her boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith from an overdose last year.
A source recently said: "They're dating! Nothing too serious but they're really happy. They have a very honest and open type of relationship. They share everything and support each other in any way possible."
The pair - who met on the set of Lea's 'On My Way' music video earlier this year - were recently rocked by reports that Matthew was a gigolo, who, until recently, offered his companionship to lonely women through online service Cowboys4Angels.
However, he assured Lea that he was merely a certified life coach, dating expert and massage therapist.

Harrison Ford is making a rapid recovering from his recent leg injury.
The 71-year-old actor - who suffered a broken leg and is currently in the midst of eight weeks of rehabilitation treatment after he was crushed by a hydraulic door while filming 'Star Wars: Episode VII' at the Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, south east England last month - is doing much better and is determined to get in better shape than ever.
The star's long-time personal trainer Jake Steinfeld told gossip website TMZ.com: "He's getting in shape now. He's feeling great and he's rehabbing it."
He added: "He and I have been friends for a long time, over 30 years, and he is in great shape. He is going to get back even better than he was, and I've been monitoring it with him. He's feeling great and is in great spirits."
Asked about the actor's injury, Jake added: "It's not that bad. He's coming back and is going to be better than ever. He's 70 going on 27."
A spokesperson for Harrison previously revealed he was doing well after undergoing surgery on his leg.
In a recent statement last month, his representative said: "His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work."
The upcoming sci-fi movie, which is set for release in December 2015, has continued shooting as planned while Harrison recuperates.

Justin Bieber has been cleared of allegedly "hotboxing" a private plane with marijuana smoke.
The 20-year-old star, his father Jeremy Bieber and an entourage of 10 flew were accused of forcing pilots to have to wear oxygen masks to prevent them from inhaling the drug and compromising their abilities while flying from his native Canada to New Jersey in January, but following an investigation the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has officially closed the case.
Despite the decision, Justin, who was detained by security for several hours at LAX airport in Los Angeles in April as a result of the incident, is still very likely to be treated with suspicion by US Customs in the future due to his other brushes with the law, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
Meanwhile, the 'Heartbreaker' hitmaker will reportedly settle his driving under the influence (DUI) case with a plea bargain in court in Miami on Monday (07.05.14)
A source previously indicated he is preparing to plead guilty to reckless driving after he was arrested in January for allegedly drag racing through the streets of the city in the early hours of the morning.
Justin was also charged with resisting arrested and driving without a valid licence, but it is believed those charges will be dropped if he pleads guilty, pays a fine and attends anger management classes.

Nicolas Cage has become a grandfather for the first time.
The 50-year-old actor's eldest son Weston Cage, 23, and his wife, Danielle Cage, welcomed a "happy, healthy little boy" into the world on Tuesday (01.07.14).
A spokesperson for the 'Gone in Sixty Seconds' star told UsMagazine.com: "Weston and Danielle are thrilled! The family is home and baby Cage is taking very well to his new environment. Lucian Augustus Coppola Cage was born on July 1, 2014 at 3:14 p.m."
Nicolas also has an eight-year-old son, Kal-El, with his third wife Alice Kim.
The 'Con Air' actor was previously married to Lisa Marie Presley and Patricia Arquette.
Weston, whose mother is Christina Fulton, got married last year and previously admitted his father was "ecstatic" at the prospect of having a grandchild.
The musician added: "He was elated immediately when he met Danielle."
The couple revealed their newborn baby's name before his birth and explained their unusual choice.
Danielle said: "Lucian is of Romanian descent, which is what I am. And Augustus is taken from Weston's grandfather."
Weston added: "His name is August. We honour him very much. He was of extreme brilliance. He was a genius."
Nicolas previously admitted he loves being a father and said the experience had "changed" him.

Jessica Simpson's fiancé celebrated his last days as a bachelor on a golf course.
The 33-year-old star is reportedly set to marry Eric Johnson, with whom she has daughter Maxwell, two, and son Ace, 12 months, near Santa Barbara, California at 4pm tomorrow (05.07.14), and the former NFL star enjoyed a fun-filled final outing with 20 friends and his future father-in-law, Joe Simpson, at Sandpiper Golf Course in the beachside city on Thursday (03.07.14).
An eyewitness told UsMagazine.com: "They were a really attractive group! They played 18 holes and drank lots of Bud Lights!"
Another insider said: "There were definitely a lot of Southern accents. The guys were all super hot!

The couple, who announced their engagement in November 2010 after seven months of dating and postponed their wedding twice due to Jessica's pregnancies, will tie the knot in a "very rustic-chic" ceremony.

The BBC radio presenter, 32, and the 37-year-old rocker, son of Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood, tied the knot in a low key ceremony at a registry office in London today (04.07.14).
The duo exchanged vows in front of a small number of guests, including Ronnie, 67.
The blonde beauty, whose mother Krissy Findlay died of an accidental overdose in 2005, walked down the aisle with her father, Mick Cotton, in a heavily embellished, white Pucci wedding gown, trimmed with sparkly silver beads, after getting ready for her special day at The Ritz London hotel.
The couple, who have a 17-moth-old son Rex together, announced their engagement last Christmas and have been together since meeting on holiday in Ibiza in 2011.
