A sexual abuse lawsuit against Bryan Singer has been dropped.
The 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' director was accused by an anonymous British actor - identified only as John Doe No. 117 - of abusing him as a teenager but while Gary Goddard, a Broadway producer, remains a defendant, Bryan is no longer involved.
According to the New York Daily News, a voluntary dismissal was filed on Friday (25.07.14) in Los Angeles.
Singer's lawyer Marty Singer previously insisted there is no legal basis for the lawsuit and said it was filed improperly. The filmmaker was also seeking $300,000 from the plaintiff to cover the costs of his legal fees, which are said to be "exorbitant".
The unidentified British actor's lawyer Jeffrey Herman filed a lawsuit in May against both Singer, 48, and entertainment industry executive Gary, who filed a similar motion to dismiss in June.
The actor accused the producers of abusing him in a London hotel when he was 17 years old.
The legal case is the second to hit the Hollywood director after budding actor Michael F. Egan filed a similar lawsuit against him earlier this year.
Egan, 31, alleged he was forced to perform sex acts on the filmmaker at a Californian house party in the late 1990s after being plied with drugs and alcohol.
Singer strenuously denied any wrongdoing and believes the allegations are a concerted effort to derail the box office gross of his recently released 'X-Men' blockbuster.
He previously said: "The allegations against me are outrageous, vicious and completely false."

Rochelle Humes has banned her husband from wearing scoop-neck tops.
The Saturdays singer has had many of her own style disasters, but she doesn't think they are as bad as spouse Marvin Humes' infamous low-cut shirts.
Quizzed on whether she gives Marvin fashion advice, she said: "I'm lucky because he has great style. Although he had to get rid of those tops with the scoop neck - they had their day."
When asked what her own biggest fashion disaster had been, she added: "Anything from my teens! I used to wear these cord, mustard flares. They were so bad."
The 25-year-old beauty also confessed she's worried her and Marvin's 14-month-old daughter Alaia-Mai will grow up to have a more unisex style and she'll have no one to give her old designer bags to.
Rochelle explained to new! magazine: "I hope my daughter's not a tomboy because she has some great bags to inherit. She'll probably ask for a football kit though, I just know it!"
Quizzed on whether her baby was showing any interest in fashion yet, she said: "None at all. She's only one though. But she does like headbands."

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have sold their Bel Air mansion for over $10 million.
The superstar singer and her TV presenter spouse have earned a cool $3 million profit by selling their lavish estate, according to TMZ.
The couple - who have three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe - bought the house for $7 million in 2009, a year after they wed, but are now planning to uproot from the West Coast permanently and live in New York City.
The $10 million payday is significantly lower than the stars' asking price as they initially put the pad on the market for $13 million.
The sprawling Californian home boasts its own cinema room, a gym, an indoor basketball court and a putting green.
The mansion also boasts a luxury outdoor swimming pool, the bottom of which is monogrammed with Mariah's initials, MC.
Nick, 33, recently revealed he doesn't want his twin children to follow in their parents' famous footsteps and is hoping they pursue careers as scientists.
He said: "I don't want my kids to be on TV, that's the only thing [I don't want them to do].
"I just want them to shoot for something else, because it's already in them - like, if you wanna act, be in the school choir. [And] if you wanna sing, be in the school choir.
"A nuclear scientist - can I get one of those? Can I get a heart surgeon in the family?"

Peaches Geldof's husband is too traumatised to return to their marital home following her death.
Musician Thomas Cohen has reportedly not visited the couple's £1.2 mansion in Wrotham, Kent, in 15 weeks after he discovered his wife's body slumped on a bed from a heroin overdose in April.
Thomas and his sons, Astala, two, and 15-month-old Phaedra, are now staying with his parents in Eltham, south London.
A neighbour told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Thomas hasn't been back to the house for a long time. Whenever he needs something, he gets his mum to pick it up.
"He is haunted by what has happened and is constantly reminded of Peaches and the happy times they shared, as well as the moment he found her.
"He has told friends he wants to sell it when he has the strength. But the house has remained empty for the majority of the time since she passed away."
Earlier this week, an inquest into Peaches' death was told the 25-year-old mother-of-two had begun taking high purity heroin again in February after two-and-a-half years using substitute drug methadone.
Drugs paraphernalia, including knotted tights, a capped syringe with brown residue in the main chamber and burnt spoons, were found in the home.

Liv Tyler is dating David Beckham's best friend.
'The Leftovers' actress - the daughter of Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler - has reportedly struck up a romance with Dave Gardner, who previously dated Rita Ora, after being set up by mutual friend Kate Moss.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "This is the real deal. Dave and Liv are madly in love.
"They mix in the same circles because Dave hangs out a lot with a group that includes Kate and Stella McCartney.
"Kate ended up bigging up Dave to Liv as she thought they'd make a great couple.
"Liv trusts Kate so was prepared to give things a go but everyone is surprised by how serious they've become so quickly."
It's thought Liv, 37, and Dave bonded over their shared experiences of divorce and both have children around the same age.
The insider added: "They've actually been an item for quite a long time but have gone to great lengths to keep it a secret so they can just go about and do normal things together.
"They have a child the same age which is ideal. They're at a similar place in their lives and ready to settle down with the right person."
Liv split from husband Royston Langdon in 2008, while Dave divorced actress Davinia Taylor in 2010.

Dame Helen Mirren has branded all social media "distasteful".
The 'Hundred-Foot Journey' actress - who is married to director Taylor Hackford - thinks websites like Twitter can be useful for marketing and as a political "tool", but she won't use them herself.
When asked if she is on Twitter or another form of social media, the 68-year-old actress replied: "No, I'm not a social media person. It's not that it upsets me, that's not the right word, but I find it distasteful. But I see it as a great tool politically and obviously it's a great marketing tool."
However, the 'Queen' star admitted she once signed up for a Facebook account to keep in touch with her family - but deleted her profile after just a day.
She added to Britain's HELLO! magazine: "Well, I did - I went on Facebook for about 24 hours because I have young members of my family and I travel a lot and I wanted to be in touch.
"But I found very rapidly - literally within 24 hours - that I just found it so intrusive and I didn't want strangers wanting to become my friends. I just didn't want that. There was something really scary about it and I didn't like it at all."

J.J. Hamblett uses parenthood to get out of things he doesn't want to do.
The Union J singer is proud to be a father but his bandmates - George Shelley, Josh Cuthbert and Jaymi Hensley - admit he has changed since girlfriend Caterina Lopez gave birth to their son Princeton last November.
Josh said: "He likes saying it, he likes saying, 'Yeah, I'm a dad now'.
"If there's ever anything that the record label wants us to do that JJ doesn't agree with ... so if they're like, 'Guys, you need to act really kiddy and funny' - JJ is like, 'I'm 26, I'm a dad and I can't do this'."
The 'Beautiful Life' singer previously expressed his intention to juggle his career and family life, citing former JLS singer Marvin Humes - who has 14-month-old daughter Alaia-Mai with wife Rochelle Humes - as a good example to follow.
Speaking before the birth of his son, he said: "Well, that's the thing, there's so many people like Marvin who, although JLS are splitting up, he's still doing 'The Voice', he's still DJ'ing all the time, he's away 24/7 but you've got to make small sacrifices. The harder we work the more successful Union J will be, the better life the kid will have."

Chloe Sevigny has a "cool energy" about her, according to Karla Crome.
The 'Misfits' actress starred alongside Chloe in the TV drama 'Hit & Miss' and her co-star made her feel very comfortable when they were working together.
Karla explained: "[Chloe Sevigny can be my royal advisor.] She was my co-star in 'Hit And Miss'. She's so laidback and confident in herself. She's not intimidating, just very stylish and has a cool energy about her."
The 25-year-old beauty is thankful for being given her role alongside Chloe as she thinks it kick-started her career.
She continued: "That show was my breakthrough. My character, Riley, was incredibly complex and I don't think I appreciated it at the time. But when I see the scripts now and what's available to young women, I see how unique that part was."
Karla also admitted that she never would have predicted she'd have a career in actress when she was younger as she claims she was an "awkward" child.
The brunette beauty told Stylist magazine: "I'm a bit awkward. I'm that person at school who always had a cold and an eye patch and asthma."

Megan Fox cut out bread to lose her baby weight.
The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' star, 28, has bounced back into shape after giving birth to her second child Bodhi five months ago, but she admits getting her pre-baby figure back was a lot harder this time around.
Speaking to E! News, she said: "Well, let me tell you, the first time I didn't do anything, I was just lucky and I was younger, and then the second time it wasn't coming off the same way and I had to eliminate bread from my diet. It's typical but I'm on that high-protein, low-carbohydrate, very low-sugar diet.
"It's kind of awful but it's what I'm doing."
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty - who also has 22-month-old son Noah with husband Brian Austin Green - believes her sons will grow up to "hate" her because she doesn't want them to date until they are much older.
She said recently: "My kids aren't going to go to dances where they're next to girls. Are you kidding me? No girls! Not until they're 25 or something. I'm going to try and keep them in the house - they're going to hate me!"
