Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are selling their New York City townhouse for $22 million.
The couple, who have son James Wilkie, 11, and five-year-old twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha, have put their five story 6800-square-foot historic home in trendy Greenwich Village back on the market after failing to find a buyer when they first listed it for $25 million in 2012.
The former 'Sex and the City' actress, 49, and the 'Deck the Halls' actor, 52, bought the lavish property for $18.995 million in 2011.
The brick house boasts a doorman, tiered landscaped garden, five-bedrooms, eight-bathrooms, a master floor with a private terrace and a hand-carved stone ovular bathtub, seven fireplaces, lots of built-in bookcases, huge closets and is described by retail estate agents Douglas Elliman as "the architectural and historical embodiment of pristine New York luxury living. "
The couple spent a lot of time and money renovating the property, but according to Variety.com they never actually occupied the house, which was originally built in 1846, and are rumoured to have purchased it for investment reasons.
The famous family are still thought to be living in a more modest townhouse in Manhattan's West Village, which they bought in 2000 for $2.995 million.
They also own two ocean-front homes in the plush area of Amagansett in the Hamptons on the South Shore of Long Island.

Lady Gaga says she'd "rather be fat than shallow."
The 'Bad Romance' hitmaker - who previously admitted her weight fluctuates because of her love of Italian food - lashed out at critics of her figure after photographs of her in a flesh-coloured swimsuit attracted some negative comments on Instagram.
The 28-year-old star captioned one of the images, taken in Dubai: "#bodyrevolution Proud at any size, because the inside is what really counts. Plus, it's all how you pose! Just ask the supermodels!"
After receiving support from a fan on Twitter, she replied: "Id rather be fat than be shallow (sic)"
When another fan wrote: "I honestly can't imagine receiving comments about my weight everyday. How insulting and degrading. Also gaga is perfect so back off," the blonde beauty responded: "all day long every day, so what if I got a belly sometimes, sometimes I don't. There's people starving in the world. #whocares"
The 'Applause' hitmaker, who also recently insisted she is "curvy and proud," previously admitted she used to battle with an eating disorder.
She said at the time: "I have struggled with an eating disorder for over 10 years and I take that very seriously, I take the struggle of others very seriously."
But earlier this year, she claimed she had overcome her troubles.
She said: "I am better with food. I don't have an eating disorder anymore. I'm also better at not letting people take advantage of me. Five years ago, when I spotted someone with a hidden agenda, I allowed them to stay around me... I speak up now. I realised that it's my own fault that people take advantage. I should be around people who cherish my talents, my health, my time ... I'm an artist. I deserve better than to be loyal to people who only believe in me because I make money."

Sofia Vergara's ex-fiancé wants to find a "more classic, elegant" partner.
Nick Loeb, who was dumped by the 'Modern Family' actress in May after four years together, admits he isn't a fan of star's sexy style and claims he's not surprised she is now dating Joe Manganiello.
The 39-year-old businessman told the New York Post: "He's a great-looking guy. I guess if I was a girl, I'd be dating him, too."
Asked what kind of woman he is looking for, he responded: "I'm sort of a conservative, so I like a girl to dress a little classier."
He also said he isn't looking for someone who dresses like Sofia, explaining: "No, I've always sort of liked the more classic, elegant look on a woman."
But it could be a case of sour grapes for Nick, as a source close to the brunette beauty, 42, previously claimed she felt the failed politician "used" her to boost his own business and ended their romance because she thought he was trying to take advantage of her fame.
The insider said at the time: "It really embarrassed Sofia."
Another source said: "He's always trying to use her success to make himself successful. I think she's finally started to see him as the opportunist he really is."
Sofia - who has a 21-year-old son, Manolo, from her first marriage to Joe Gonzalez - started dating 'Magic Mike' hunk Joe, 37, in July and recently gushed: "I'm very happy romantically. It couldn't be better!"

Broadway will pay respect to the late Joan Rivers tonight (09.09.14).
The marquee lights of all 40 theatres in New York City will be dimmed for one minute in honour of the Tony Award nominee - who died last Thursday (04.09.14) after being taken off life support after suffering a cardiac arrest during a routine operation on her vocal chords - following a U-turn decision by The Broadway League.
The organisation announced the news on Twitter, saying: "All Broadway Theatres will #Dim4Joan tonight at 6:45pm."
In a statement, the league's Executive Director, Charlotte St. Martin also said: "Joan Rivers loved Broadway and we loved her. Due to the outpouring of love and respect for Joan Rivers from our community and from her friends and fans worldwide, the marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in her memory tonight, at exactly 6:45pm for one minute."
The decision comes after fans started a petition and vented their frustration on Twitter after the league previously claimed that, unlike other recent honourees Robin Williams and Lauren Bacall, the 'Fashion Police' host, who starred in 'Sally Marr...and Her Escorts' in 1994, did not qualify for the posthumous tribute, a long-standing tradition in the theatre community.
Charlotte previously said: "Under our criteria people need to have been very active recently in the theater, or else be synonymous with Broadway -- people who made their careers here, or kept it up. We love Joan -- she was very supportive of Broadway and came to a lot of show openings -- but she hasn't acted on Broadway in 20 years."
Prior to the league's reversal, seven theatres announced they planned to independently dim the lights in honour of the late comedienne, 81.
A number of Broadway stars attended Joan's funeral on Sunday (07.09.14), including Audra McDonald, Hugh Jackman, Bernadette Peters, Alan Cumming and Tommy Tune.

Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry are expecting their first child together.
The 'Talk' co-host, who married the singer-songwriter in March, shocked her colleagues, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Aisha Taylor and Julie Chen, by revealing she is pregnant on the show today (09.09.14).
The former 'Roseanne' actress, who already has son Levi, nine, and daughter Sawyer, seven, with ex-girlfriend Allison Adler, was supposed to face her fear of having a cinderblock broken over her stomach, as part of the show's Face Your Fears segment, but pulled out at the last minute, confessing: "I actually can't do it, because... I'm pregnant."
Her co-hosts immediately started jumping and cheering, suggesting this was the first time they had heard the news.
Sara then added that she had been "really tired" during her first trimester, but said that now: "I feel good, I feel really good."
The 39-year-old star started dating Linda in 2011 and they exchanged vows in a low-key ceremony in March in front of a small number of guests, including actress Juliette Lewis.
The former 4 Non Blondes singer, 49, who has penned hits for Christina Aguilera, Pink and Gwen Stefani, proposed during a romantic music-themed picnic in April 2012.
Sara previously said: "I'm sitting there listening and I'm kind of daydreaming and I'm thinking like, 'If I ever proposed to her this would be an amazing way to do it.' The people picnicking next to us pull out string instruments from under the blanket, walk over and they start playing 'Love Song.'
"She goes to her backpack and she pulls out these T-shirts and the first T-Shirt says 'will' and then puts on another T-shirt and it says, 'you,' then 'marry,' 'me.' It was the most amazing proposal ever."

Jennifer Hudson is embracing her thirties.
The 'Feeling Good' singer reached the milestone age two years ago and is comfortable with who she is and enjoying her third decade.
She told E! News: "I love the thirties. I'm like, now I got the hang of it and being settled with myself and embracing it. I love the space that I'm in."
Jennifer has also recently finished her third studio album and claims it is a "feel good" record.
She told MTV News: "I think it's more of a feeling, more than a genre, and I've had the pleasure of working with Pharrell [Williams] and Timbaland, and I love their process.
"They allow you to express yourself musically as an artist, as a writer, in every way. It's been a lot of fun."
Speaking of the track which will be the lead single, she added: "You listen to it and it'll make you happy."
Jennifer also has an alter-ego on the record who she calls Jones, who will appear in some of her tracks - although she has ruled out any raunchy numbers.
She said: "Singing about the same old things in music is so overrated. Sex, drinking, the club. Okay, especially sex. Like, we are grownups, we ain't got over that? like, really? Ain't you too old for that kind of thing? Can you talk about something else? I get annoyed with those things."
