Mitch Winehouse ‘bursting with pride’ over statue

Mitch Winehouse is "bursting with pride" over the unveiling of a statue of his daughter Amy Winehouse.
A memorial to the 'Back to Black' singer was unveiled in Camden, north London - where she lived before she died of alcohol poisoning three years ago - yesterday (14.09.14) to mark what would have been her 31st birthday and her father was particularly thrilled with the tribute because council officials had gone against protocol to secure its erection.
Speaking about the tribute to his daughter, Mitch told BANG Showbiz: "I'm bursting with pride because Camden, along with other councils, won't allow a plaque or statue for at least 20 years after the person has passed away and they've allowed this straight away.
"So, it's a fantastic testimony to Amy, her love of Camden and Camden's love of her. It's wonderful. It's great to be a part of it."
Alongside Mitch at the unveiling of the life-size statue - which was sculpted by Scott Eaton and features Amy's trademark beehive hairstyle - on Camden Square were Amy's mother Janis and a number of her friends.
Amy's father reminded those who had gathered for the occasion of the work he has been doing with the Amy Winehouse foundation, which he set up in his daughter's name following her passing in 2011 to support, inform and inspire vulnerable and disadvantaged young people to help them realise their potential.
He said: "It is incredibly emotional to see Amy like this, but Scott has done an amazing job in capturing her ... We want to remind everyone of her talent and that her legacy, through her music and the Amy Winehouse Foundation, carries on.
"Camden meant a lot to Amy and vice versa and to have her forever standing at the heart of the hustle and bustle of that area just fits."

Kerry Katona marries George Kay

Kerry Katona has married George Kay.
The Atomic Kitten star tied the knot with the former rugby player, 34, at the luxurious Totworth Court Hotel near Bristol, South West England yesterday (14.09.14) with her best pal Katie Price, 36, acting as bridesmaid.
The 34-year-old singer was walked down the aisle by her son Max, six, and was joined by her daughters Molly, 12, Lily-Sue, 11, and Heidi, seven, from her two previous marriages, as well as the couple's four-month-old daughter Dylan-Jorge.
Kerry could barely contain her excitement before her big day, taking to Twitter she wrote: "Woo hoo!! xxx (sic)".
According to Daily Star newspaper, the couple banned the sale of alcohol at the upmarket event to prevent bad behaviour from guests after warning them they would be liable for any damage caused at the five star hotel.
Meanwhile, Kerry recently revealed her and her new husband had started trying for a sixth baby while the blossoming family holidayed in Cape Verde, western Africa.
She said: "We'll have a cheeky try for number six. I'd like another boy for my son Max's sake."
"George wants to have another baby soon because he doesn't want to be an older dad and we'd like the children to be close in age."

Ben Affleck: Jennifer Garner keeps me calm

Ben Affleck says Jennifer Garner helps him when he's scared by new project.
Despite forging an impressive career as an actor and filmmaker - winning multiple awards for his movie 'Argo', while the film itself was awarded Best Picture at the Oscars - the star still gets a feeling of "terror" he's going to mess it all up.
He said: "That terror when I'm about to start something can be motivating. It helps me kick my ass into gear, because I think, 'Oh my God, I'm gonna ruin this movie, I'm gonna not know what to do.'
"That's definitely a good, driving factor for me. My theory is that once you lose that, you're kind of going downhill ... [But] it's very trying for my wife.
"She's incredibly supportive and kind and patient with this, but I'll get into this thing of like, 'Oh my God, it's a f***ing disaster. This doesn't work, that doesn't work, I don't know what the f**k I'm gonna do.' "
Thankfully, his wife is a calming influence, and he admitted she is always "so on the money" with her assessment of the situation.
He told the Sunday Times newspaper's Culture magazine: "She'll just say, 'You said this on the last movie. You said it on the movie before.
"This is the point at which you go in there and listen to one song over and over again, and rewrite the scenes you don't like'. Then it's almost embarrassing, because she's so on the money."

Billy Connolly wishes he’d done more for Robin Williams

Billy Connolly wishes he "could have done more" to help Robin Williams.
The comedian - who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease last year - has compared himself to the late comedian and admitted he wished he'd been there for the 'Hook' star before he committed suicide last month.
Asked what he is best at, he said: "Doing nothing. People think it's easy but it takes years of practice. I used to be not quite like Robin Williams, but I'd find it hard to switch off.
"Robin was 'on' all the time. He was a joy to be around, let me tell you. In all the years I knew him I never got tired of him. He was a one-off, so warm, so human.
"In my quieter moment I do sometimes think I could have done more [to help him. It's a lonely life, show business. You spend a lot of time on your own, and if you dwell on these things you can hurt yourself, as Robin proved."
Meanwhile, Billy opened up about Parkinson's disease and insisted he isn't scared of it, but more intrigued.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday newspaper's Event magazine, he explained: "Not really. It comes and it goes ... I can't play banjo as well as I used to. It affects my left hand. There's a funny trait I've had all my life.
"When I'm in danger I go, 'Oh, this is interesting', instead of going, 'Holy s**t, what's happening?' I can stand back and observe it. It was the same in my drinking days.
"I had out-of-body experiences. I stood and watched myself falling in the street once. I saw myself fall and bounce. There's a time when you have to stop because you become pathetic."

Jay Z suggests Beyonce is pregnant

Jay Z has hinted that Beyonce is pregnant with the couple's second child.
The hip-hop star - whose relationship has been the subject of much speculation over the last few months - performed the song 'Beach is Better' at a recent concert in Paris, but perhaps telling, changed the lyrics to say, "cause she's pregnant with another one", Radar Online reports.
A source told the magazine: "For the last month, Jay has been fiercely protective of her, just like when she was expecting Blue Ivy [the couple's daughter].
"He's been doing everything he can to ensure that Bey is in a stress-free bubble."
What's more, the source revealed that their entourage has been told to speak in "relaxed" voices and also to only listen to "soft music".
Despite rumours of a split, Beyonce and Jay Z have appeared happy in public, with the 'Crazy In Love' singer recently saying she's her husband's "biggest fan".
And Jay returned the compliment on the last night of their 'On The Run' tour, saying: "It's been an honour and a pleasure to share the stage with you.
"I couldn't dream for anything else [than] to be in this stadium with the woman I love, who I believe is the greatest entertainer of our time. I love her. She's my wife."

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez look happy in Vegas

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez appeared to confirm their reconciliation over the weekend in Las Vegas.
The pair - who have had an on/off relationship for years - attended the Floyd Mayweather fight on Saturday night (15.09.14) and were also spotted walking hand-in-hand around the Hard Rock Hotel.
Bieber, who is a friend of the boxing champion, posted pictures of himself in the city as he prepared to attend the big fight, saying: "At the @HardRockHotelLV pool before heading over to see the Champ (sic)."
The sight of the celebrity couple together comes shortly after E! News reported that the 'Come And Get It' hitmaker revealed to attorney Mark DiCowden that the pair had reunited.
Justin is said to have confirmed the relationship during his follow-up deposition in relation to a lawsuit filed against him by a photographer who claims he was assaulted by the singer.
The rest of the deposition was "uneventful", according to the source, who added that Justin was well-behaved throughout.
Previously, Justin shared a photograph on Instagram of Selena kissing his cheek as he hugged her, before deleting the image almost immediately.

Robert Downey Jr’s wife is ‘walking art’

Robert Downey Jr. thinks his wife is "just walking art."
The 'Iron Man 3' star, whose producer spouse Susan Downey is expecting their second child, has heaped praise on his other half insisting she looks better than ever.
The 49-year-old star said: "This lady is so beautiful, she's just walking art."
The couple - who already have son, Exton, two - met while making the ghost thriller 'Gothika' in 2003 and got married in 2005.
They are currently collaborating for the seventh time on the upcoming drama 'The Judge' and love spending time together on set.
Robert told Us Weekly magazine: "It's nice to mix the two things I love the most."
Susan, 40, is due to give birth to a baby girl in November and admits the couple "couldn't be more excited".
Robert previously credited the brunette beauty for helping him to get sober and a source close to the actor also said in the past: "Bob hears and obeys. He credits Susan with his success at staying sober and he totally trusts her judgment. He knows the worst thing about slipping up would be disappointing her -- so he tries not to."

Cheyenne Jackson marries boyfriend

Cheyenne told PEOPLE.com: "This means a new beginning for us. It was love at first sight and this is just the culmination of that."
The ceremony took place outdoors as one of Jason's friend's estates and it is said to have been a blend of elegance and nature.
He added: "I'm from Idaho. So I wanted everything to feel very woodsy."
Jason added: "There were branches of trees hovering over the tennis court we're on with over 100 mini chandeliers draping the entire party. It was gorgeous."

"Now we sing and we dance together. It blows my mind."

Sarah Harding splits from Mark Foster

Sarah Harding has split from Mark Foster.
The former Girls Aloud singer's relationship is said to have become strained during her time on BBC gymnastics competition 'Tumble', with the strain proving too much for both parties.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Mark isn't happy with the way Sarah has been acting and taking out her frustrations on him.
"She has been training for long hours every day for each of her routines and that's left her emotionally and physically drained.
"As training has intensified for the show they have seen less and less of each other over the last few weeks. She has been training twice a day and they have not really had a chance to spend quality time together."
It is said Mark has found her state of mind - "tired and very emotional" - difficult to handle, while his own work commitments as a music producer have meant he hasn't been able to see a number of hi partner's performances.
The source added: "The show has left Sarah very tired and emotional which Mark has found hard to deal with. When they have seen each other, Sarah has been tetchy and snappy and Mark has had enough.
"Mark hasn't been able to go and see a number of Sarah's performances due to his own work commitments and that has meant Sarah has felt isolated.
"He moved back to Manchester to leave Sarah to concentrate on her final performances but then they both realised it was time to call it a day."
