Ben Affleck admits he was caught counting cards in Las Vegas in April.
The 'Argo' star, who has three children, Violet, eight, Seraphina, five, and two-year-old Samuel, with wife Jennifer Garner, says he has been punished for "being good" at blackjack, but insists he wasn't kicked out of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino because he used the gambling strategy, which involves counting card values to decrease betting risk during a major game.
Asked about the incident, the 41-year-old Oscar winner said: "That is a true story. I mean, that took place. I took some time to learn the game and became a decent blackjack player. And once I became decent, the casinos asked me not to play blackjack. I mean, the fact that being good at the game is against the rules at the casinos should tell you something about casinos."
The 'Batman v. Supreme: Dawn of Justice' star added: "I had always liked blackjack. I don't play any other games of chance. I don't bet on football games, and I don't gamble at all, really, outside of that. But I knew with blackjack that there's a way you can improve your odds. And so I started trying to learn. And then I just got to a point in my life where I'm like, 'If I'm going to do something, I'm going to try and do it really well.' "
But Ben says he wasn't escorted out of the casino by security.
He said: "No, I wish! That would be awesome. [Like,] 'Get him outta here! He's a magician!' Unfortunately, they just came up and said, 'We can't let you play blackjack. But we have other table games! We have Chinese poker!' "
The 'Good Will Hunting' star was also allegedly kicked out of the Caesar Windsor Hotel and Casino in Ontario, Canada in May for counting cards.

Iggy Azalea is suing her ex-boyfriend, who claims to have a sex tape featuring the star.
The Australian rapper has filed a lawsuit against Hefe Wine, accusing him of illegally downloading the entire contents of her personal computer while they were living together in Atlanta, Georgia in 2009.
The 'Fancy' hitmaker made no mention of the alleged sex tape in court documents, obtained by gossip website TMZ.com, but says the data included unreleased master recordings and she believes Wine is trying to take advantage of her success.
She is also accusing him of directly using or converting the data to create a new EP, which he announced in July will "shock the world" upon it's release.
The blonde beauty - who is dating NBA star Nick Young - insists that Wine forged her signature on a legal document, giving him exclusive rights to her music and music videos.
She claims the contract was pasted together from a legit document she once signed.
Wine recently claimed Iggy indirectly gave him permission to release and market their alleged sex tape, by signing the contract and giving him the exclusive rights to "manufacture, sell, distribute and advertise 'any' recording embodying visual images."
But the 'Black Widow' hitmaker - real name Amethyst Amelia Kelly - previously insisted on Twitter that the tape doesn't even exist.
Last Thursday (11.09.14), she tweeted: "Obviously I've seen the news feed today and I just want to say I don't have a sex tape."
Iggy added: "We should want to protect our women and I really hope that America will follow Europe and their laws to better protect peoples privacy and fundamental rights [sic].
"And on that note, I'm off to get a manicure peaaaaaaceeeeeee outttttt *drops the mic* (sic)."

Neil Patrick Harris' children pressured him to get married.
The 41-year-old actor, who tied the knot with longtime boyfriend David Burtka in Italy earlier this month, admits their four-year-old twins Harper and Gideon, born via a surrogate mother in 2010, were one of the main reasons they decided to walk down the aisle.
The 'How I Met Your Mother' star said: "I think when our kids got to the age when they were having reasonable conversations where they're asking lots of 'why' questions, then it seemed [important] to be able to have a real clear-cut [identity] of who their daddy is -- that he's my husband, it was easier than partner or boyfriend."
But the star was also eager to commit to David, 39, after more than 10 years together.
Speaking on 'The View' about their recent nuptials, he said: "I just wanted to be able to say nice things about David to David in front of the people that mattered the most to us. It was less about a proclamation and more about a declaration that I was able to share in front of our kids."
He added: "It was nice, very small and intimate. Only about 45 people were there. We did it as a destination wedding, and it kept the numbers down."
The couple got engaged following the passing of the Marriage Equality Act in New York in June 2011.

Sharon Osbourne slit her wrist to prove her love for Ozzy Osbourne when she was 27.
The 61-year-old star has revealed she was hospitalised after cutting herself deeply with a steak knife while she was drunk with her now-husband, and still has a scar.
The 'Talk' co-host opened up about the "stupid" incident for the first time as part of the show's Secrets Week on Wednesday (17.09.14), saying: "I've never discussed it out of embarrassment of how stupid I was at the time to do such a thing to myself."
Explaining how it happened, she said: "I was 27, I was just going out with Ozzy at the time...and when we first got together, we would drink a lot together. We had a session of partying...and it's about four in the morning and he says to me, 'How much do you really love me?'...And I'm saying, 'I'd do anything for you, anything, I absolutely adore you...I'd give my life for you.' "
She added: "I'm like, 'I'll show you how much I love you, I'd die for you'...so I went to a room service table...and there was a steak knife. I get the knife and I'm like, 'I love you so much' and slash, slash, slash on my wrist.' "
After an ambulance was called to the scene, Sharon told paramedics she was simply being "a dramatic drunk," but says they believed she had attempted suicide.
She added: "They put me on lockdown! I permanently scarred my wrist and I was on lockdown for being overly dramatic and drunk ...now, I tell everyone I was attacked by a dog."

Pharrell Williams believes in alien life.
The 'Happy' hitmaker thinks people are "incredibly arrogant" and "pompous" if they don't believe there are extra-terrestrials in the universe.
Speaking to Stylist magazine, he said: "I believe in God but I also believe in the universe ... and I believe in that innate ability to make decisions and to exercise our feelings as human beings.
"How do you see all the stars and think there's nothing else out there?
"It's so incredibly arrogant and pompous. It's amazing that there are people who really believe that. It's unbelievable."
The self-confessed feminist also hit out at misogynists, insisting women have the power to end the world if they chose to.
N.E.R.D star Pharrell added: "If women decided they didn't like what we were doing as a species, they could end the planet.
"So when I hear people say 'empower women', it's not possible to empower women. It's just necessary for women to remember their power. Power is a perception and it's one that you guys [women] were raised to ignore and believe something that's false, like a male-dominated world. That's the biggest joke that man has played on society and we've all bough into it. Is this really a man's world? Is it really? Do men give birth to men?"

The 'Monuments Men' star - who is worth a rumoured £100 million - will marry human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin at the end of this month but Nina, 75, and Nick Clooney, 80, are unsure whether the couple would prefer a present of a donation made to a charity of their choosing.
Nina said: "I haven't got them a wedding present yet because we haven't decided what to get, or if they would prefer some kind of donation."

Ariana Grande has been accused of making diva-like demands on the set of a television project.
The 'Bang Bang' singer is fast developing a reputation for being one of the most high maintenance figures in the entertainment industry, and someone who recently saw her at close quarters on the set of a TV project admits that some of her behaviour is so outrageous that it's almost laughable.
Speaking to the New York Post's Page Six column, the source said: "It's like the president is in town.
"Everyone is kind of stressed and at the same time, they're making fun of her because it's much ado about nothing, really."
The source added: "She kind of speaks down to everyone around her."
This comes shortly after it was claimed that Ariana, 21, stopped a photoshoot promoting her new album 'My Everything' because she wasn't happy with the first picture.
The 'Problem' hitmaker ordered the shoot to be stopped, complaining that her earlier requests to photographers and media weren't met, according to Australian news site news.com.au.
It's alleged that the list of requests included "don't use natural light" and "do shoot only from the left side of her face".
The media were also handed a list of questions they should not ask, including any relating to "relationships, dating and ex-boyfriends", and "working or collaborating with Justin Bieber".

Nick Jonas says he no longer wears his purity ring.
The 22-year-old singer, who started wearing the band when he was 11 to symbolise his desire to abstain from sex until marriage, admits he has grown-up a lot in recent years, but insists he still has love for the church.
Speaking about the ring to HuffPostLive, the 'Chains' hitmaker, who is dating former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, said: "This is a real growth in me and not something I'm doing anymore. But I've got my set of values, things that are important to me now at this point in my life and that's all that matters."
He added: "I've had an incredibly intense journey with faith and religion and my own growth. My belief in God is still very strong and important to me as a person and I think that's all that should matter. I grew up in a church environment and still have love for the church.
"What's important now is my relationship with God, and that I not judge and that I not be judged."
Nick's older brother Joe Jonas, 25, who also previously wore a purity ring, revealed last year that he lost his virginity when he was 20.
He said: "There's a program people do in some churches called True Love Waits, where you wait for marriage to have sex. [My older brother] Kevin and I decided to join -- Nick tried it later."
But he added: "I lost my virginity when I was 20. I did other stuff before then, but I was sexually active at 20. I'm glad I waited for the right person, because you look back and you go, 'That girl was bats**t crazy. I'm glad I didn't go there.' "
