Gwyneth Paltrow is "psyched" about being criticised by Martha Stewart.
The lifestyle guru recently slammed the 'Iron Man 3' actress for her Goop brand but the 42-year-old beauty insists she isn't hurt by her comments.
Speaking at the Most Powerful Women Summit in Laguna Niguel, California, she sarcastically said: "No one has ever said anything bad about me before, so I'm shocked and devastated. I'll try to recover."
She then admitted: "If I'm really honest, I'm so psyched that she sees us as competition. I'm so psyched. I really am.
"At this point in my life I don't take it personally."
Gwyneth spoke out after Martha dismissed her ventures into the lifestyle arena, saying she is just a "movie star".
She said: "She just needs to be quiet. She's a movie star.
"If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn't be trying to be Martha Stewart."
Earlier this week, Gwyneth announced she had hired Lisa Gersh, the former CEO and president of Martha Stewart Living.
Lisa said of her appointment: "As a fan since its launch, I've admired the inimitable voice and style Gwyneth has infused into goop, and the business she's built.
"It's rare to work with such an inspired founder and a digitally native company, a brand that thinks digitally from an organic point-of-view and successfully fuses content and revenue-generating retail."

Taylor Swift has been "begging" Selena Gomez to move to New York.
The 24-year-old singer is desperate for her good friend to make the switch from Hollywood to the Big Apple and the raven-haired beauty admits she is slowly being convinced by the 'Shake It Off' hitmaker.
Selena told E!: "I'd love to spend time in New York. I've always said that I want to have a love affair and live there.
"Taylor has been begging me to live there. She's like, 'It's the best decision I've ever made.' Everyone always says I'm more New York when they meet me so maybe it would be good for me. I don't spend enough time there."
As well as Selena, Taylor counts several other stars among her closest friends including singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran and model Karlie Kloss, and the 'Our Song' hitmaker recently admitted she chooses to surround herself with "smart" and "exciting" people.
She said: "I choose my friends based on people I have things in common with or people who challenge me.
"Honestly, I think that there's something really inspiring about being around people who know what they want, people who are passionate about something. You want to be around smart, exciting people - I think that that brings you up."

Simon Cowell still gets "told off" by his mum.
The 54-year-old media mogul always does what 88-year-old Julie Cowell tells him and still feels mortified from an incident when he was a teenager when she ordered him to stop "showing off" in front of his girlfriend.
He admitted: "She still loves to tell me off.
"The worst thing she can say to me if I'm got my friends round is, 'Simon stop showing off' and there's no answer back to that.
"It happened to me once when I was 15 and I brought this girl round for Sunday lunch.
"And I was showing off. Then my mum said, 'Simon stop showing off' and I literally couldn't think of a reply."
However, Simon - who has eight-month-old son Eric with girlfriend Lauren Silverman - admits he uses the phrase a lot himself, particularly when working with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and Louis Walsh on UK TV show 'The X Factor'.
He told BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw in an interview airing on Friday (10.10.14): "I hated her so much. And it stuck with me. It's a really good thing to say to the other judges."

Kim Kardashian West has hired a tailor and stylist for her 15-month-old daughter.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star wants little North - whose father is Kim's husband Kanye West - to have outfits which co-ordinate with her own so has hired a new staff member who works closely with the reality star's own fashion team to create the youngster's garments.
A source said: "Kim has hired North her own personal tailor whose sole job it is to make mini versions of Kim's designer outfits and ensure they always co-ordinate.
"The tailor, who is also paid to act as North's stylist, works with Kanye and Kim's styling team to create her looks.
"Some are collaborations or commissions to designers themselves and others are created in-house."
The styling team are said to plan North's outfits far in advance and even ensure she has tiny accessories to complement her mother's sartorial choices.
The source added: "Her wardrobe is planned well in advance with regular meetings to discuss looks for the family's public appearances, and North has versions to match a lot of what Kim wears, from dresses to handbags and shoes."
While Kim and Kanye have faced criticism for some of North's outfits - including a black chiffon dress she wore to match her mother's Givenchy gown at Paris Fashion Week - the brunette beauty thinks it is "cute" to co-ordinate with her daughter.
The source told Britain's Grazia magazine: "Kim loves dressing North up. She thinks it's really cure when they wear the same outfit."

Kylie Jenner and Tyga have fuelled further dating rumours after they enjoyed a meal together on Monday night (06.10.14).
The 25-year-old rapper and the reality star - who was previously thought to be dating Jaden Smith - were spotted at Japanese restaurant Kabuki in Hollywood on what it is said to have been a "date".
A source close to the musician told gossip website TMZ that Tyga and Kylie are now "dating" but the insider insists their relationship is not physical because the raven-haired star is only 17.
Tyga also fuelled the rumours by taking to his Facebook account earlier today (08.10.14) to post a picture of himself with Kylie clearly visible in the background.
He captioned the image: "Surround yourself with good people. Good hearts, Good souls (sic)"
The pair sparked speculation they were a couple last month when they were spotted at Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights in California with a group of friends.
However, last month Tyga hit out at speculation he and Kylie are were dating, insisting they are "just friends".
He tweeted: 'DONT BELIEVE THE RUMORS, BEEN FRIENDS WITH THE FAMILY FOREVER. WE'RE ALL JUST FRIENDS. (sic)'
Tyga has a two-year-old son King Cairo from his relationship with former fiancée Blac Chyna, who he split from in August after nearly three years of dating.

Jaden Smith claims to be in love with "every single person on the planet".
The 16-year-old actor - who has been romantically linked with Kylie Jenner - believes there is no one in the world he can't learn something from.
He said: "I'm in love with every single person on the planet. Every single person on this planet knows one thing that I don't know that they can share with me and there are things I can do with that person that I've never experienced before."
The 'Karate Kid' star - whose parents are Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith - made a number of bizarre statements in the interview with iD magazine, including claiming to be a "mathemagician" with a pyramid who can have anything he wants.
He told the publication: "I'm a mathemagician; I'm building a pyramid. You come to see me and I'm hanging outside a pyramid? That's magic to me....
"When you look at life, you can literally have whatever you want, that's what my dad and mum always told me."
Jaden went on to claim he walks around with no pants on just to see how people react.
He said: "I'm excited to wake up in the morning because I know that today is a new day. I've been walking around the place with no pants on today, like, 'It's going to be so fun to see how fast those people kick me out, it's going to be so great'."

Amanda Bynes is planning to study psychology.
The troubled actress - who was reportedly thrown out of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in California for turning up to classes high and paying fellow students to do her homework - claims to be transferring to a New York educational establishment to embark on a new course.
She tweeted: "I'm transferring to NYU or Columbia from FIDM to study psychology, so you'll see me in New York if you live here but I HATE stalkers!(sic)"
The 28-year-old star, who was arrested last week for driving under the influence (DUI), recently claimed to have got engaged to her 19-year-old boyfriend Caleb.
She said: "I am very needy for friendship and I hate men. I want to f*** them, but I can now say I'm engaged, I want to be married and I want to be away from people."
Amanda, who was placed under psychiatric hold last year after a series of bizarre incidents, hopes she and her fiancé, who lives in Costa Mesa, California, will have lots of baby boys after they exchange their vows.
She said: "I want boys, for sure. However many I can pop out. I don't want a gorgeous girl around. Then I [would] feel way jealous. Ew."
Amanda is believed to have taken a turn for the worse after she moved out of her parents Rick and Lynn Bynes' home in Thousands Oaks, California, as soon as her conservatorship ended earlier this month.
She has also allegedly stopped taking her anti-psychotic medication for Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Jennifer Garner has joked 'Gone Girl' producers must have used a "wide lens" to capture her husband Ben Affleck's manhood.
The 42-year-old actress - who has been married to the Hollywood star since 2005 - had a conversion with him over dinner about a scene in which he appears fully naked in the thriller, and quipped the reason the film is tipped to become number one at the box office is because of his penis.
In an interview on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', which is due to air today (08.10.14), Jennifer explained: "He came home and was like, 'Hey, at work today [David] Fincher talked me into walking out of the shower.' And I was like 'Oh, cool. I hope he had on a wide lens.' "
Jennifer joked she was "giving something back" to the world by letting Ben go full frontal in the motion picture.
She added: "I think you're probably onto something. And to be honest what I have to say is you're welcome.
"I try to consider myself a charitable person. You give me so much and I wanted to give something back to all of you."
Jennifer's comments come after Ben - who has three children, Violet, eight, Seraphina, five, and Samuel, two, with the brunette beauty - joked his member looks a lot better in 3D screenings of the movie.
He said: "I think there's some brief nudity in this movie
"Director David [Fincher] said to me from the beginning, 'This is a warts and all movie. It can have no vanity. You have to see the naked underbelly of this character. It's gotta be like in Europe, they just don't give a s**t about any of that stuff and they just play real people'... [So] there is some brief, very brief nudity, I think.
"The penis is in there! It's IMAX penis! You've gotta pay fifteen bucks to see it in 3D ... it's better in 3D."
The movie sees Ben star as bar owner Nick Dunne whose life is upside down when his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike) goes missing and he becomes the main suspect.
The motion picture is adapted from the novel of the same name by Gillian Flynn and also stars Neil Patrick Harris as Amy's ex-boyfriend and Emily Ratajkowski as Nick's mistress.
