Channing Tatum felt "messed with" at school because he wasn't "a very smart person".
The 34-year-old actor - who has suffered from attention deficit disorder (ADHD) and dyslexia - has hit out at the education system in the US for not helping him enough and simply "lumping" him into classes with Down Syndrome and autism suffers.
He said: "I have never considered myself a very smart person, for a lot of reasons. Not having early success on that one path messes with you.
"You get lumped in classes with kids with autism and Down Syndrome, and you look around and say, 'OK, so this is where I'm at.'
"Or you get put in the typical classes and you say, 'All right, I'm obviously not like these kids either.'
"So you're kind of nowhere. You're just different. The system is broken. If we can streamline a
multi-billion dollar company, we should be able to help kids who struggle the way I did."
Channing has 16-month-old daughter Everly with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum and while he admits he loves spending time with the little one, he is glad to get some peace and quiet at night when he puts her to bed.
Speaking to T magazine, he added: "You notice your behaviour, like, 'Wow, I don't have much patience right now. Why is that?'
"You spend the day watching this thing constantly taking in information, and you have to be sure you're making that happen.
"At the end of the day when I put her to bed, I feel glad to have some peace but say to myself, That was so much fun."

Ben Affleck let the 'Gone Girl' cast borrow his Porsche.
The 42-year-old actor used to leave the keys of his supercar for the cast members of the crime thriller movie to use if he wasn't there, according to his co-star Casey Wilson, who admitted she sees the Hollywood hunk as a "real-life hero" after acting alongside him.
She said: "He was so nice. He let us borrow his car when he went out of town. It was really nice.
"All the actors were sharing two cars, and so he very kindly left his keys at the front desk for a bunch of us to use on the off-week when he was out of town. So he's a hero. He's a real-life hero in my book."
Casey - who plays Ben's on-screen neighbour, Noelle Hawthorne, in 'Gone Girl' - admitted the cast used the star's car, which she thought was a Porsche, to travel to a local nightspot in Missouri, where the thriller was filmed, so they could "go crazy" in between filming.
Speaking to HuffPost Live, she added: "We went to what we called the 'Tarbucks,' which is a Target slash Starbucks.
"That was right across the street, and that was a big night. That was like, 'Let's blow the roof off this place and go crazy.' "
Casey is not the only fan of Ben from the film as his on-screen mistress Emily Ratajkowski (Andie) recently admitted it felt "surreal" locking lips with the movie legend in the motion picture.
The 23-year-old stunner said: "The whole experience was a little surreal.
"I have to be honest. Obviously Ben Affleck is one of those - you know his face. I grew up with his face. Not sure if he would love that."

Michael Jackson has topped a list of highest-earning dead celebrities for the second year in a row.
The late 'Thriller' hitmaker - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - brought in an estimated $140 million in the past year for his estate, Forbes magazine reports.
The money came from Cirque du Soleil shows 'Immortal' and 'One', as well as his half of the Sony/ATV publishing catalogue, his own Mijac catalogue and his posthumous album, 'Xscape', which was released earlier this year.
Forbes commented: "Few celebrities prove the point that there is (financial) life after death better than Michael Jackson."
The staggering sum was more than twice what second-placed Elvis Presley, who died in 1977, earned in the last 12 months, and the 'Jailhouse Rock' singer's $55 million was considerably higher than the earnings of third-placed Peanuts creator Charles Schulz, who made $40 million.
Michael's late friend Dame Elizabeth Taylor - who died in 2011 and took top spot on the Forbes list a year later - came in at fourth place with $25 million, one spot ahead of late reggae legend Bob Marley, who generated $20 million.
Completing the list were Marilyn Monroe in sixth spot thanks to earnings of $17 million, Beatles legend John Lennon and scientist Albert Einstein, with their $12 million and $11 million earning them seventh and eighth place respectively.
Five stars - 'Dr Seuss' writer Theodor Geisel, actors Bruce Lee, Steve McQueen and James Dean, and model Bettie Page - tied with $9 million earnings to take the final place on the list.
According to Forbes - who compiled the list using estimated earnings and spoke to estate managers, lawyers and licensors - the 13 deceased stars earned a total of $363.5 million between October 2013 and 14.

Olly Murs has slammed Taylor Swift for writing songs about Harry Styles.
The former 'X Factor' star has hit out at the 24-year-old stunner, whose latest song 'Out of the Woods' is rumoured to be about her One Direction singer ex-boyfriend - who she dated for three months before their January 2013 split - and called on her to write "something new" that isn't about him.
Speaking on Australian radio station 2DayFM's breakfast show, Olly said: "Come on [Taylor], let it go. Write something new that isn't about Harry.
"Bless him, it's been like two years and he's still getting lashed out isn't he?"
As well as blasting the 'Shake it Off' star, Olly also poked fun at the singing sensation - who has sold more than 30 million albums and 75 million digital downloads - by performing a section of 'Out of the Woods' but changing the lyrics slightly to include the line: "I remember all I remember."
He sang: "You were looking at me, you were looking at me, I remember all I remember
"Are we out of the woods yet? Are we out of the woods yet? Are we out of the woods yet?"
In the original song, which is about a death-defying snowmobile crash Taylor had with an ex-boyfriend resulting in them having to get stitches in hospital, the star sings: "I remember.
"Are we in the clear yet?
"Are we in the clear yet?
"Oh, I remember.
"Are we out of the woods yet?"
What's more, Taylor is rumoured to have written other songs including 'I Knew You Were Trouble' - from her fourth studio album 'Red' - about Harry.
She performed another hit single from the album, 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' - which is rumoured to be have been penned about her ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal - at the Grammy Awards in 2013 and appeared to make a sly dig at Harry, who was sitting in the audience.
Taylor poked fun at him by putting on a British accent as she said the song's line: "So he calls me up and he's like, 'I still love you' "
Despite the countless rumours, Taylor - who is set to release her fifth studio album '1989' later this month - has never said, and has insisted on many occasions she won't ever say, who her songs are aimed at.
Olly became friends with One Direction after they competed on 'The X Factor' in 2010, one year after he finished second on the talent show, but he recently revealed they tell him they are "too busy" to attend his parties.
He said: "I always invite the 1D boys to my BBQs but they're too busy."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's kids "like" the fact they are married.
The couple tied the knot in August on the urging of their children Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and six-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox and their famous father says the brood are thrilled the union is now official.
Asked how the children are enjoying their parents being married, Brad smiled and told People magazine: "They like it. They like it."
To prepare for his new movie 'Fury', Brad and his army tank co-stars, including Shia LaBeouf, Michael Pena and Logan Lerman went put through bootcamp by Navy SEALS and part of the tough training involved being sleep-deprived.
Each of the stars had to stay awake on watch each night and it fell to the youngest member of the crew, 22-year-old Logan, to wake Brad, 50, each night and he found it was important to do so with "tenderness" and a gentle kiss.
Logan said: "We each had to wake the next person, and the next person was Brad for me. So I had to be the guy to wake Brad Pitt up.
"It was weird. How do you wake up a sleeping beauty? It took a while to figure it out. You just kiss him gently and you rock him and you hold him and you say, 'Hey, sweetie.' "
Asked to seriously answer how to wake Brad, he laughed and said: "I told you. Tenderness. Be kind."

Zoe Saldana will give birth in eight weeks.
The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' actress - who is expecting twin boys with husband Marco Perego - is "feeling great" but constantly hungry.
She said: "I still have a ways to go. We have maybe eight more weeks or something. I feel great.
"I'm hungry all the time! I have to say, nothing makes me happier than to see a pregnant woman eat. Especially in LA!"
Tucking into a food tray provided by 'Late, Late Show' host Craig Ferguson, the 36-year-old beauty insisted she hadn't experienced any cravings during her pregnancy but had found food tastes better than ever.
She told the presenter: "You'd be surprised -- I'm just hungry. It feels good. Food just tastes so delicious. It really does. It's really good. You trick yourself, working in Hollywood, going, 'That burger's disgusting. A burger's awful.'
"But now that [I'm] pregnant [I'm] like, 'I could eat all this --together -- at the same time.'
"Like, I could have the pickle with the donut and it would probably be life changing."
And Zoe admits there is nothing she likes more than being told how "sexy" she looks with her growing baby bump.
She said: "The best thing a pregnant woman can hear is the word 'sexy.' It's like, 'Oh, you think I'm sexy? Yes! I'm sexy.' You know?
"Usually I'm an activist and [a supporter of] women's rights. I'm like, 'Excuse me, do not objectify me!' or whatever, but now that I'm pregnant, I'm kind of itching for sexy compliments."
While she isn't experiencing any unusual cravings, the 'Avatar' actress has developed an obsession with TV murder mysteries.
She said: "In the middle of the night I don't wake up with cravings. I've been watching a lot of crime shows, though.
"I don't know why. Murder mysteries. I'm solving the case and it's like 2 o'clock in the morning because that's one of the gifts of being pregnant -- sometimes you just can't sleep.
"So, I find myself watching '48 Hours Mystery' or 'Dateline' with Lester Holt. My husband wakes up and I'm just like, 'He totally did it! She did it!' "
