Bono has glaucoma

Bono has had glaucoma for the last 20 years.
The U2 frontman is often seen sporting a pair of sunglasses when he appears in front of photographers, but the 54-year-old singer says he does this in order to protect his sensitive eyes.
Speaking on last night's (17.10.14) Graham Norton show, he said: "This is a good place to explain to people that I've had glaucoma for the last 20 years.
"I have good treatments and I'm going to be fine. You're not going to get this out of your head now. You're going to be saying, 'Ah, poor old Bono.'"
The condition is caused by a build up of pressure within the eye that if left untreated, can lead to blindness.
Bono - whose band U2 recently released their latest album 'Songs of Innocence' via iTunes - has previously revealed that his eyes are sensitive to light, but has never admitted to having glaucoma.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine in 2005, Bono said he wore sunglasses so frequently because his eyes were "very sensitive to light".
He added: "If somebody takes my photograph, I will see the flash for the rest of the day.
"My right eye swells up... It's part vanity, it's part privacy and part sensitivity."

Kanye West aims to ‘anchor pioneer company’

Kanye West aims to "be the anchor of the first $1 trillion company".
The hip-hop superstar - who is married to reality TV personality Kim Kardashian West, 33, - has announced plans to launch his own line of sports kit, which he intends to ultimately transform into an international business.
The 37-year-old rapper is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: "I'm going to be making uniforms for my old high school through my brand Yeezy. I want to... eventually do uniforms for the entire city.
"Then I want those uniforms to be hot and I eventually want to be the anchor and the force behind a $1 billion company. Then I want to be the anchor of the first $1 trillion company".
Kanye made the remarks at LA's Trade Technical College, where he was appearing as part of the community service he was handed for attacking a photographer in 2013.
Speaking about his ambitions within the sphere of fashion, the 'All of the Lights' star added: "I want to stop using the term 'fashion' because Eve made Adam bite an apple and since then it's been illegal to be naked. I'm helping people follow the law in style."

Pink jokes of Carey Hart and Dallas Green bromance

Pink fears finding her husband Carey Hart in bed with singer-songwriter Dallas Green.
The 35-year-old pop star has worked alongside Green on a new acoustic project entitled 'You + Me', and she says her new collaborator has already succeeded in charming her 39-year-old hubby.
The singer, whose real name is Alecia Moore, joked: "I am worried about Carey and him falling in love because Carey is already his biggest fan.
"I will be shopping one day for face soaps and we are going to come home and they are going to be spooning, one big tattoo, listening to records."
Green, 34, is a married man already but quipped: "I'm lying in bed with my wife and I tell her, 'I've got one goal for tomorrow. I am going to get Carey's phone number."
The pair appear together on their new album 'Rose Ave', but while Pink has been impressed by the work of her collaborator, she recently credited her three-year-old daughter Willow Hart for helping her to re-evaluate her life.
She told PEOPLE magazine:"It's like starting over in a way - really healing and wondrous, and you're reminded constantly how sarcastic and how presumptuous you can be, and how hardened life has made you.
"That innocence is so worth protecting. That's a really long-winded answer for, 'She's way cooler than I am.'"

Bono cheated death as a teen

Bono "should have" died in a bomb attack.
The U2 frontman believes a decision to ride his bike to a record store in Dublin, Ireland in 1984 stopped him from being in the midst of a terrorist effort, and he claims the experience sparked his desire to write political music.
Speaking on Italian TV show 'Che Tempo Che Fa?', he said: "Ireland was very close to a civil war. There was a lot of violence on the streets. But the most terrible violence was hidden behind the doors of the houses. The violence from father to son, from a man to a woman. And this happens everywhere.
"I found a way to fight this fear and it is in the music.
"The reason that we write songs about political violence perhaps can be found in the fact that on a Friday night in 1984 in Dublin three car bombs exploded in the city centre, killing 33 people. That day I was at a record store. I should have been there at that time but that day I decided to ride my bike. I saved my life with that decision."
The 'One' rockers admit their desire for success was fuelled by an urge to leave their home nation behind.
Guitarist The Edge said: "We were 18 years old, we wanted to visit the States, go to Italy and France, to travel, to play everywhere. We wanted to leave Ireland. "

Jessie Ware almost ruined proposal

Jessie Ware almost "ruined" her now-husband's proposal by being "bossy".
The 30-year-old singer - who tied the knot with childhood sweetheart Sam Burrows in August - got engaged on holiday in Greece but initially thwarted Sam's attempts to pop the question.
She explained "I almost ruined the proposal because I'm a bossy cow. We were in Greece and he tried to propose the day before and there were some wasps where we were sitting so I was like, 'I can't be here.'
"Then the next day he wanted to walk down these stairs we'd just walked up and I told him, 'Babe, I've just schlepped up here, I'm not walking back down.' He said, 'We're taking the stairs' and that's when I thought, 'A-ha!' "
Jessie says their wedding day was very "special", but unconventional.
She recalled to Stylist magazine: "It was so special, Sam and I have been together for 11 years.
"It wasn't a formal wedding though - I walked down the aisle to 'Your Love Is King' by Sade and we sang Al Green songs instead of hymns.
"I have a speech because why do only men get to speak at weddings? My mother gave a speech too, as did my main of honour, who I thought was going to annihilate me but was actually really nice."

Ella Eyre takes ages to do hair

Ella Eyre takes up to three hours to do her hair.
The 20-year-old pop star has confessed that her signature barnet has become a burden as she is forced to spend hours preparing her curly locks every day.
When asked how long the voluminous style takes to arrange, she told BANG Showbiz: "On a good day about an hour and a half, on a bad day... two to three."
The 'Comeback' singer's trademark hairdo has become so high-maintenance that she has even hired an assistant especially to prepare it while she's touring.
She admitted: "My hair stylist is on the road with me.
"It's just got so big now that I can't maintain it on my own and if I want it to look any good I have to call in the crew."
And now that she has become known for her huge hairstyle, the Rudimental collaborator - who claims to have been growing her locks "since birth... bar a few extensions" - says she couldn't even think about getting rid of it.
She confessed: "It's definitely integral to who I am as an artist, it's part of my live show, you know, like I've got quite an animalistic style and way of performing and it's part of my show,
"I don't think I could ever shave my hair off, don't think I could ever do it, mainly because it's so curly it'd take it so long to grow it'd be heart-breaking."

Blake Lively isn’t worried about motherhood

Blake Lively says she's always been a mother.
The former 'Gossip Girl' star, who is expecting her first child with husband Ryan Reynolds, isn't worried about adapting to motherhood, as she has a lot of experience with babies.
The 26-year-old actress told E! News: "I came from a big family...a big family of Southerners. I feel like I've always sorta...I'm the youngest of five, so I never raised any siblings below me, but I'm always the person who's taking everyone else's kid and putting them on my hip, so I've kinda always been a mama. So we'll see."
The blonde beauty also told PEOPLE.com that she hasn't ditched her healthy diet since discovering she is pregnant.
Asked about her cravings, she said: "I haven't had [any]."
But Blake plans to stock up on "stretchier" clothing.
She said: "I'm gonna amp up my style by wearing things that are stretchier. Because that's all that fits!"
The 'Savages' star admitted earlier this year that she and Ryan want a "litter of kids."
She said: "I gotta get started. If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would."

Lady Gaga buys $24 million mansion

Lady Gaga has splashed out $24 million on a new mansion.
The 28-year-old singer - who grew up in New York City - has reportedly purchased her first home in California.
A real estate source told gossip website TMZ.com that the 'Bad Romance' hitmaker bought a huge compound in Malibu from the founder of Warner Bros Worldwide Consumer Products Division, Dan Romanelli.
The lavish property, which has a secret entranceway, sits on six acres and boasts five bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, an elevator, pool, gym, wine cellar, two-lane bowling alley, bocce ball court, eight-horse stable and walk-in closets.
Romanelli put the house on the market for $24.95 million in May 2013.
The blonde beauty previously insisted she would never buy a house in Los Angeles after sampling the lifestyle there in 2011.
She said at the time: "I ran furiously back to New York, to my old apartment, and I hung out with my friends, and I went to the same bars."
The Grammy Award winner - who is dating 33-year-old actor Taylor Kinney - started renting a luxurious penthouse apartment in New York City last year for $22,000 a month.
The 'Applause' hitmaker has an estimated net worth of $220 million, according to Forbes magazine, and also invested in a property in the plush Fitzrovia Area in London in 2012.
