Brooke Shields lost virginity to Dean Cain when she was 22

Brooke Shields lost her virginity when she was 22.
The 49-year-old actress, who lifts the lid on her romances with some of her famous ex-boyfriends, including Liam Neeson and John Travolta, in her upcoming memoir, 'There Was a Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me,' had sex for the first time with former 'Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Super Man' star Dean Cain.
Recalling the experience in the book, she writes: "He was incredibly and painfully patient with me regarding sex. I made him wait and wait and my mom kept track."
"Afterwards I got so overwhelmed that I jumped out of my bed. I actually kind of tumbled off it and started running. I was buck naked streaking down a hallway and running like I had just stolen someone's wallet.
"Dean leapt up and ran after me with the comforter in his arms. He hugged me tight and asked me where I was going."
Despite dating Dean for two years after they met at Princeton University, Brooke says she was "terrified of physical contact with boys" after being brought up in the spotlight by her mother Teri Shields, who died in 2012.
She writes: "I was afraid I was leaving my mother.
"I didn't know where I began and where my mother ended and that meant I didn't know how to fit Dean in.
"I believe my mom wanted me to stay a virgin for as long as possible."
The 'Michael J. Fox Show' star, who now has daughters Rowan, 11, and Grier, 8, with husband Chris Henchy, also opens up about her friendship with the late Michael Jackson after meeting him for the first time when she was 13, according to the excerpts obtained by PEOPLE magazine.
She writes: "We loved each other. We just felt safe with each other. I didn't want anything from him. We watched movies and ate candy and laughed at the craziness around us."

Joaquin Phoenix: Hoax was liberating

Joaquin Phoenix found pretending to quit acting to be a rapper "liberating".
The 'Walk the Line' star caused controversy with his bizarre behaviour in 2009 - including an appearance on David Letterman's talk show in which he was monosyllabic and appeared edgy - but it was later revealed to be a hoax for spoof documentary 'I'm Still Here' and the 40-year-old actor enjoyed not having a "safety net" around him.
He said: "I'm under the impression that it was a liberating experience for me. Unlike when you're acting and everyone is there to support you and you can do take after take, when I did those live music shows and the movie, the safety net wasn't there. Or maybe the safety net was there, but it was old, worn, full of holes and probably going to collapse."
One particular scene during a shambolic gig saw Joaquin jump into the audience and brawl with a crowd member, an experience he found both "scary and great".
Speaking to Playboy magazine, he said: "When you're dealing with a thousand people in a club and you're doing a fake fight everyone thinks is real except you and the guy you're fighting with, you don't know what's going to happen, and the outcome was very unclear. That was scary and also a great experience.
"I said it was done to experience a change. I don't really know what it did. Only time will tell."
After it was revealed his behaviour was a hoax, Joaquin returned to the 'Late Show with David Letterman' to apologise, but fans still speculated the veteran broadcaster was in on the joke - something the 'Her' star still denies.
He insisted: "David Letterman was not in on the joke. My agents, my publicist Sue Patricola--she's really good in the movie because she seems so concerned, right?--they were all in on it, of course. But look, David Letterman is one of the smartest guys on television. There's no way that guy doesn't know what's going on in some way. That's what I'll say about it.

Oprah Winfrey’s tuna sandwich agreement

Oprah Winfrey only agreed to be in 'Selma' after learning her character used to watch her talk show while eating tuna sandwiches.
The 60-year-old star appears as civil rights activist Annie Lee Cooper in the drama movie - based on Martin Luther King's 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches, at which Annie punched Selma sheriff Jim Clark - but had reservations because she didn't want to play a person who hit someone.
Despite her concerns, director Ava DuVernay managed to convince the talk show host thanks to the fishy tale about Annie watching 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'.
She said: "I was like, 'I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to play another person who punches somebody out.
"'In every movie, do I have to punch somebody out?' And then Ava sent me [a story] from Google about the real Annie Lee Cooper that said she watched the Oprah show every day.
"Not only watched, but watched it with a tuna fish sandwich - which is exactly how I would want to watch it.
"Ava said, 'What do you think it would mean to this woman who watched you every day?' She got me! She got me. So it was like, 'Yeah, maybe I'll do that.' "
Oprah was initially an unofficial advisor on the movie after her 'The Butler' co-star David Oyelowo, who plays Martin Luther King in the motion picture, informed her about the film, and he later encouraged her to take a producer role on the project but she was not keen to do so much work.
She added to E!: "I was like, 'Producer? I don't want to do that. That means I have to actually work.'
"I said, 'I'll just tell you from behind the scenes what to do.' "

Mick Jagger slammed by L’Wren’s family

Sir Mick Jagger has been branded "heartless" by L'Wren Scott's family.
The Rolling Stones frontman and his bandmates filed an insurance claim after cancelling a number of Australian tour dates in the wake of the model's suicide in March and the 'Brown Sugar' hitmaker - who was romantically linked with ballerina Melanie Hamrick just a few months after L'Wren's death - has been slammed for claiming his girlfriend's passing caused him to suffer acute traumatic stress, meaning he couldn't perform.
Rob Shane, who is married to L'Wren's sister Jan, said: "The guy [Jagger] doesn't need the money, I laughed when the insurance company turned down his claim.
"All the s**t that Mick is claiming about being unstable, it's ridiculous he's trying to get his way. In a way, I'm not surprised he's doing it. The guy is just unbelievable.
"I read that he's claiming $12.7 million due to the cancellation of the tour and I can't understand that. L'Wren left her entire estate to him and that was valued around the same amount.
"It seems heartless. How distraught could he have really been, seriously? It was only a month or two after L'Wren's death he was with this ballerina or whatever. I mean how distraught [was Mick]?"
Insurers have refused to pay the group, arguing L'Wren"had been suffering from a mental illness" and "either received, or at least had been recommended, medical attention", therefore her death should not be considered to be "sudden and unforeseen".
However, Rob insisted she wasn't mentally ill, telling MailOnline: "L'Wren wasn't mentally unwell, you know it's just some times life catches up to you."
Jan was too distraught to speak about the situation but her husband said she was finding the legal dispute difficult to cope with.
He said: "The whole situation is a big ball of weight being dragged behind her and it's opening up old wounds.
"Jan is trying to put it all behind her, it's a really troubling part of her life losing her sister, and he's in a legal battle with some insurers."

Charlie Hunnam’s inventive shower antics

Charlie Hunnam creates a "hand Jacuzzi" by cupping his butt with his palms in the shower.
The 'Sons of Anarchy' actor enjoys experimenting with his naked body while having his daily wash and joked one of his favourite water-based experiences is simulating a hot tub's bubbling water effect with his derriere when he needs to let one rip.
When asked about his shower activities, he said: "There's the hand Jacuzzi, which we've all tried right?
"When you're in the shower and the water's running down your back and you need to break wind. If you cup your bottom and let it fill with water, you can create a little hand Jacuzzi."
When he is not getting inventive in the shower, the 34-year-old star - who plays Jax Teller in 'Sons of Anarchy' - can be found out and about getting plenty of female attention and recalled one instance when an over-excited fan shouted that she wanted to sexually assault him.
Speaking on chat show 'Conan', he added: "I was riding recently, minding my own business, it was early in the morning, I think I was actually going to work. And I stopped at a red light and somebody said, 'Jax! I wanna f***ing rape you!"
"So I said, 'Can I have my breakfast first? ... I just said, 'Thank you, have a nice day.' "
Catch Charlie Hunnam and the cast of 'Sons of Anarchy' on truTV, Freeview channel 68, tonight at 11pm.

Jennifer Aniston praises talented Justin Theroux

Jennifer Aniston finds Justin Theroux attractive because he is good at "so many things".
The 'Horrible Bosses 2' actress - who has been engaged to the 43-year-old actor for two years - also admires her fiance for being "humble and decent", admitting she is relieved success hasn't changed him.
She said: "Not only is he a great actor but he's one of the best comedy writers out there. And he directs and paints murals.
"And I just think it's so attractive to be that good at so many things and to have no ego. He's one of the most humble, decent human beings. He's not an ass.
"He's not like some of our friends who are young and up-and-coming and they hit celebrity, and all of a sudden you're like, 'Oh! You're different. Now you don't say hi to people?' "
The 45-year-old actress never gets bored with Justin because they have so much to talk about.
Speaking to the new issue of America's Harper's Bazaar magazine: "It's almost impossible to get bored with one another. We've tried so hard! And even that's interesting because his eyes are so pretty, but we can entertain ourselves and talk about endless things, which is pretty great."
And the 'Cake' star admires the way the 'Leftovers' actor deals with the attention their relationship brings so easily.
She said: "He's just been doing it so graciously and gracefully, and it's a strange ballpark to walk into. He's in his body, for sure. He's a pretty realised person. But he's been doing this for 20 years."

Taylor Swift gifts rap cross-stitches to pals

Taylor Swift loves to do cross-stitches of "ironic" rap lyrics and gift them to her friends.
The 24-year-old singer - whose pals include Lorde, Lena Dunham and Karlie Kloss - admits she has learned a lot in the past two years of her life, such as how to master the art of thread embroidery, but also that she can be just as in love with her pals as she could with a boyfriend.
She said: "I didn't realise that being in love with your life can be just as wonderful as being in love with another person.
"Every relationship takes work and effort, and when I put that work and effort into my friends, family, and fans ... my life changed completely.
"I started making choices based on what I wanted, and didn't feel like I needed to justify them. If I wanted to cut my hair, I did it. If I wanted to move to New York, I did it. If I wanted to take a spontaneous road trip, I did it.
"At 24 I decided that my life is enough for me, and I stopped looking for some other piece to complete it.
"I also learned how to needlepoint ironic cross-stitches of rap lyrics and gave them to my friends as presents."
As well as giving her friends physical presents, the 'Blank Space' hitmaker loves to send them an emoji symbol of Santa Claus on a regular basis, even when the festive period is not near, because she insists Father Christmas is "always watching".
When asked what her most frequently used emoji tab is, she told BuzzFeed: "The thumbs-up, the wide-eyed surprised-face emoji, and I think it's pretty important to send a random Santa emoji to people without any explanation at all. Because he's always watching."

Kim Kardashian West’s bottom balancing act

Kim Kardashian West can balance a champagne glass on her bottom.
The socialite - who has a 16-month-old daughter, North, with 'Bound 2' rapper Kanye West - appears on the cover of New York magazine Paper and recreates French photographer Jean-Paul Goude's famous "Champagne Incident" shot.
Tweeting about her unusual ability, she said: "And they say I didn't have a talent...try balancing a champagne glass on your ass LOL (sic)."
She also posted the cover, shot by the same photographer who created the original image, on Instagram with a caption saying: "Paper Magazine new cover alert! - such a honor to work with the legendary Jean-Paul Goude!!!! Shot this in Paris. Can't wait for you to see the whole issue. (sic)"
The 34-year-old entrepreneur also features in a second cover which shows her naked with her broad backside oiled up and exposed, as part of the magazine's 'Break the Internet' campaign.
However, some celebrities have hit out at the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star, with 'Glee' actress Naya Rivera criticising Kim for the saucy nature of the images.
Commenting on her Instagram picture, she wrote: "I normally don't. But... you're someone's mother... (sic)"

Simon Cowell employs son as One Direction’s drummer

Simon Cowell has joked his son should be One Direction's new drummer.
The music mogul shared an adorable video of the seven-month-old tot hitting a drum online earlier today (12.11.14), and praised his little one for his musical ability.
In a post on his official Facebook page, he quipped: "One Direction have just hired Eric as their new drummer."
The 55-year-old music mogul and his partner Lauren Silverman welcomed their first child into the world in February, and it seems he is already taking after his father when it comes to his passion for music, banging along to the band's hit single 'Story of My Life'.
The proud father is currently appearing as a judge on the eleventh series of the 'X Factor', but his close friend Sinitta has revealed that while he is not dishing out criticism to the competition's hopefuls, he is spending lots of time playing with his toddler.
She gushed: "He's crawling and moving around so much. Becoming a father has been the making of Simon, it's changed him.
"Baby Eric is a mini Simon and so adorable."
However, when questioned on whether he thinks Eric's loved-up parents are planning on getting hitched, she expressed her doubts.
She said: "I'm not sure if Simon will get married to Lauren."
The 'So Macho' singer added: "I think he and Lauren will definitely have more kids, they're both great parents."
