Kimberly Wyatt is taking up cooking and knitting to be a better mother.
The 32-year-old singer and television personality is expecting her first child with her husband, model Max Rogers, and her pregnancy has encouraged her to turn to the internet to hone her homemaking skills.
The blonde beauty explained: "I've been nesting and doing more of the 'pink' jobs and Max has been doing the 'blue' jobs as we call them.
"YouTube has become my friend. I've been looking up Jamie Oliver and Martha Stewart recipes - cooking my first roast is a goal."
The former Pussycat Dolls member - who announced her pregnancy in August - also admitted that she was inspired by her grandmother to take up knitting in order to create a miniature covering for her daughter for when she is born.
She gushed: "I've taken up knitting and I love it.
"My grandmother Jane knitted a little blanket to carry me home from the hospital in and I wanted to do the same for my little girl. I just need to put the satin trim around the edge and it's finished."
Although the 'Candy' singer has followed in her family footsteps when it comes to textiles, she is hoping that her daughter will not have as much of a rocky personal upbringing as she did, having fallen out with her parents when they failed to believe claims she'd been abused as a youngster.
She explained to HELLO! magazine: "I didn't grow up with the closest of families but I feel already that Max and I are sort of recreating what I didn't have. It's that family vibe. I'm loving it."

Charlize Theron and Sean Penn enjoyed a date night with his daughter.
The couple, who recently returned from shooting their upcoming film, 'The Last Face,' in South Africa, "were so cute" together despite being joined by Dylan Penn at the launch of Nasty Gal Melrose store in Los Angeles on Thursday (20.11.14).
A source: "They were so cute. He watched her while she shopped."
The insider also told E! News that the duo - who have been dating for almost one year - were "holding hands" for most of the evening.
Another source told PEOPLE.com: "Sean arrived hand in hand with Charlize, he followed her around the store while she mingled, posed for photos with her friend [Nasty Gal founder] Sophia Amoruso, [and] shopped the racks. He was a trooper and showed to everyone in the room how supportive he is of her. They looked so cute and in love."
Other guests at the bash included Christina Milian, Azalea Banks and Zac Efron's new girlfriend Sami Miro.
It's no surprise Dylan, whose mother is Sean's ex-wife Robin Wright, joined them at the event, as she recently gushed about how much she admires Charlize, 39.
The 23-year-old model said: "Well, she's brilliant for one thing, and she's the only woman since my mom who can shut my dad up. The only woman! That is a f**king challenge so... She's a powerhouse."

Chris Hemsworth says his tattoos are often "a pain" when he's filming.
The 'Thor' star, who was crowned the Sexiest Man Alive by PEOPLE magazine earlier this week, has a few sentimental designs inked on his body, but admits he hates having to get them covered up on set.
He said: "They're a pain to cover up when you shoot a movie. It's, like, an hour of makeup."
The Australian heartthrob, who has daughter India, two, and seven-month-old twin boys, Sasha and Tristan, with Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, says all of his tattoos have been inspired by them to date.
He told PEOPLE magazine: "I have the initials of my family here. [Points to this right forearm] And I have a Dr. Seuss character from 'Oh, The Places You'll Go' right here [Touches his left biceps]. It's a book I read to my daughter."
Asked if he plans to get any more, he said: "Maybe."
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old star claims his daughter has him wrapped around her little finger.
He said: "Oh, yeah. Both of us. We'll say, 'Okay, that's it. no more ice cream.' And she's like, 'Gelato? Ice cream?' And she pretends to lick an ice cream, and I'm like, 'Oh, she's just too cute.' Then she goes crazy because of the sugar, so it backfires."

Kelsey Grammer is "so proud" his daughter has been named Miss Golden Globe 2015.
Greer Grammer will assist hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey on stage during the 72nd annual awards ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on January 11.
Asked how the 'Frasier' star, who has six children from different relationships, and her mother, Barrie Bucker, reacted to the news, the 22-year-old actress said her mother "couldn't believe it" and her father is "so proud."
The 'Awkward' star struggled to keep the news a secret before it was officially announced on Thursday (20.11.14), saying: "I've known for a week, I found out when I was on vacation, about a week ago, I screamed, danced, jumped up and down! I told my parents but I didn't want to, because I didn't want them telling anyone. I made them promise they wouldn't.
"My mom told me a few times that whenever she'd run into friends she'd want to tell them but remembered she couldn't."
Greer isn't nervous about the prestigious role as she was previously crowned Miss Regional California Teen in 2011.
She told E! News: "I've got [walking on stage] covered. I know how to walk. I don't think anyone has given advice because they presume I already know."
But she is nervous about the possibility of meeting 'Wild' star Reese Witherspoon.
She said: "That's the name I keep bringing up, because I've been a fan since I was like 10-years-old, 'Legally Blonde'..."
The annual Mr or Miss Golden Globe is usually the child of a celebrity and last year's Miss Golden Globe was Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick's daughter, Sosie Bacon, while legendary actor-and-director Clint Eastwood's daughter, Francesca Eastwood, filled the position in 2012.

Ricki Lake's estranged husband wants a judge to invalidate their prenuptial agreement.
The talk show host, who filed for divorce from Christian Evans on October 16 after two and a half years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences, has been accused by the jewellery designer of committing fraud.
He claims she tricked him into signing the legal contract, which likely included how much spousal support he'd receive if they ever split, before they got married in April 2012, but has yet to explain the basis of the alleged fraud.
If the judge decides the agreement is invalid, Evans would be entitled to half or Ricki's earnings during their marriage, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
Ricki previously stated in court documents that they legally separated on October 9 and requested to pay Christian spousal support.
The 46-year-old star, who divorced her first husband, illustrator Rob Sussman, in 2005, with whom she has two children, Milo, 17, and Owen, 13, previously credited Christian for helping her to believe in love again.
During an interview last year, she said: "For a long time I was involved in this very difficult marriage. I had all these struggles and a relationship filled with drama, which I thought was normal and healthy. But a marriage shouldn't be drama filled. It should be loving and based on a real partnership.
"It was very tough and traumatic and my children were very young. I was married for almost 10 years and I honestly did not think that I would ever get married again. I thought, 'I don't need a man. I am an independent woman. I am strong. I was very cynical about marriage but then I met this amazing person and he changed my perspective on what a partnership should be and the value of sharing your life with someone."

Jennifer Aniston admits it wasn't easy to lose weight after filming 'Cake'.
The 45-year-old actress "just didn't work out for two-and-a-half months" and relaxed her healthy diet to prepare for her role in the upcoming film, in which she portrays a woman who survives a car crash and manages her chronic pain with illegal drugs, but was ready to get back into the gym as soon as shooting wrapped.
She said: "It's not so easy coming back, let me tell ya! We've got a ways go, but it puts you in a different state of mind not to be physical and not take care of yourself."
While the former 'Friends' star said she "loved every second" of the complex role, she was more than ready to get back to usual routine and diet afterwards.
She told E! News: "I had to go to a job the day after I wrapped for my hair company and I just sort of had to snap back into businesswoman mode... I was actually ready to let her go, honestly, and felt quite satisfied at the end."
But Jennifer's co-star costar Camille Guaty admits all of her friends thought the actress, who is engaged to Justin Theroux, was pregnant before she lost weight.
She told UsMagazine.com: "It's so funny, because a lot of people were like, 'Is she pregnant?' I'd say, 'No,' and they'd say, 'But she looks so dowdy.' I'm like, 'This is the role that she's playing!' Knowing the story, it's just a complete transformation."

Chris Pine has more respect for Broadway stars after taking singing lessons for 'Into The Woods'.
The 34-year-old actor, who stars in the upcoming movie adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning musical 'Cinderella,' alongside Johnny Depp, Meryl Street, Anna Kendrick and Emily Blunt, says perfecting his vocals was an "incredible challenge" but "a lot of fun."
Asked if he had any training before the film, he said: "No. I mean, I've sung in the shower for years and thought I was my own best teacher.
"I went to a singing coach...that was another incredible challenge as well that I have a lot of fun with.
"And I have so much more respect, because I'm not really a musical theatre guy, but I have so much more respect for the art form of it. I mean, if you're doing a show on Broadway that's eight shows a week, the physical exertion I can't even fathom. So it's a wonderful, beautiful art form and I'm so glad I got to be a part of it."
The 'Star Trek' actor felt very comfortable wearing tight velvet trousers in the film.
He told E! News: "The prince pants!
"I had velvet pants, which were very fun...very comfortable actually. When you throw velvet and Lycra [together] a lot of things can happen."
