Emily Blunt says Meryl Streep owes her after she "saved" her life.
The 31-year-old actress came to the rescue of the 'Mamma Mia' star after she tripped and fell on the set of the big-screen adaptation of 'Into The Woods'.
Emily explained: "I did save her life. We were rehearsing a scene where she's playing the witch and she's supposed to jump onto the table with a cape and everything.
"I just saw this thing happen in slow-motion... You know when you see something awful happen and it's like the sound cuts out, you know?
"Meryl Streep's foot got caught in her cape and we just started to watch her slowly topple head-first toward the concrete floor."
The 65-year-old actress - who is starring as The Witch in the fairy tale story alongside Emily, who plays the Baker's Wife - will be expected to pay her co-star back for the rescue mission.
Emily joked on 'The Late Show With David Letterman' : "She owes me! She should play my lowly dressmaker. She owes me big time. She was tormenting me in [The Devil Wears Prada], and now she's tormenting me in this movie. She's this witch that has cast this horrible spell on our house. I just said, 'This is it.' We couldn't have any other dynamic now: 'You just have to hate me in films.'
"She owes me, that's why I think at some point I should play the Queen of Versailles and she can be my lowly dressmaker. I did mention it to her. I think it's a great idea and I mentioned it to her, and her response was, 'Dream on.' That's Meryl Streep... She's so amazing, it's annoying at this point. It's annoying."

Angelina Jolie wants to be a "better wife" for Brad Pitt.
The 39-year-old actress - who married the 'World War Z' star in a private ceremony in August this year - hopes she can "get this wife thing down" for the sake of her family.
She said: "We have more moments where I say, 'I'm going to be a better wife. I'm going to learn to cook.' and [Brad] says, 'Oh, honey, know what you're good at.' ...
"But I go like, 'No, no, no, I'm going to get this wife thing down.' He knows my limitations and where I'm a good wife and a good mum."
Angelina also admitted that tying the knot after a decade together did change the couple's relationship.
She explained: "It did change. We were fortunate enough to be in that unusual situation, we got married with our [six] children and they were part of the ceremony."
The couple - who are the parents to 13-year-old Maddox, Pax, 10, 9-year-old Zahara, Shiloh, 8, and Vivienne and Knox, both 6 - were both glad they could share their special day with their children.
Angelina explained to the Today show: "It was all of us agreeing to be together and to just commit to this life together. Not because we had to... because we were absolutely sure we felt that much of a family."

Madonna spent Thanksgiving at the orphanage where she adopted her children.
The 'Hung Up' hitmaker - who has two biological children, Rocco and Lourdes and two adopted children, Mercy and David - made a visit to the Kondanani Orphanage today (27.11.14) with her two adopted kids to celebrate the holiday.
She shared a photo on Twitter of her being pushed on a swing by Mercy and wrote next to the photo: "Getting pushed around by Mercy James at Kondanani Orphanage! #livingforlove (sic)"
She also posted a photograph of Mercy and David outside the orphanage, tweeting: "The World is upside down! Count your blessings! They are endless............... @raisingmalawi.
"Happy Thanksgiving from Malawi! #livingforlove (sic)".
Whilst visiting the African country, Madonna also met with trainee surgeons at the Queen Elizabeth hospital.
She uploaded a picture of herself, her daughter and a group of the trainees, writing next to it: "Surgical Trainees at Queen Elizabeth Hospital! In the business of Miracles! @raisingmalawi #livingforlove (sic)"
Madonna - who founded the Raising Malawi charity with Michael Berg - was in the country to help launch a project, which will see a two-storey paediatric surgery and intensive care unit built nearby, providing an extra 50 beds.
She told the medical staff: "I'm happy to be associated with the future of your beautiful country.
"Children are your future."
She also greeted the locals in their native language of Chichewa, saying: "Muli bwanji?" before joking: "I'm now a Malawian."

Patrick Schwarzenegger's mother was "disgusted" by Miley Cyrus's birthday celebrations.
Maria Shriver - who, along with Arnold Schwarzenegger, are the parents of the 21-year-old actor - is reportedly "very worried" about how her son is being influenced by his new girlfriend after seeing pictures from her 22nd birthday party.
A source explained: "The birthday party with all the penis pictures disgusted her. That was the worst thing Miley could have done.
"Maria is very, very worried about the influence Miley's having on Patrick. She fully believes that you become who you surround yourself with and she's always been so happy with the friends Patrick chooses, she never saw this coming."
Despite Maria's dislike for Miley, she may struggle to separate her son and the 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker after a source revealed that Miley has always been his "celebrity crush".
Patrick reportedly can't believe his luck that his "dream" is coming true.
The source told HollywoodLife.com: "Miley has been his celebrity crush forever, so he is now living a dream come true.
"She is so cool and he loves hanging out with her. They have so much fun together."
Meanwhile, Patrick is reportedly "falling hard" for his new beau and is hoping their relationship will develop into more.
Another source recently revealed: "He is definitely falling hard for her and she really is liking all the attention he is giving her.
"This is something that is going to last."
When asked if the relationship would develop further, the source added: "It could definitely lead that way and if Patrick gets what he wants it will, but they don't say 'I love you' to each other yet. Way too early!"

Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West want to do a nude photoshoot together.
The couple are reportedly keen to pose naked alongside each other, after the 34-year-old 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star recently stripped off for a photo shoot with Paper magazine.
A source revealed that Kanye was so "inspired" by his wife's decision that he has already organised and commissioned a "gallery-worthy" portrait of the couple "lying naked in a loving embrace".
The source explained that Kanye thinks his wife looks "sexier than ever" and believes that now is the "perfect time" for the pair to conduct the shoot.
The insider also added that the couple - who have 17-month-old North together - would be happy to show the picture off.
The source told the US version of OK! Magazine: "There's going to be a big reveal party once it's done!"
Meanwhile, a source close to the 37-year-old 'Stronger' hitmaker recently revealed that Kanye is "obsessed" with the photographs from Kim's shoot with Paper magazine and wants to put them up on the walls of their Los Angeles home.
The insider said: "Kanye is getting the butt cover framed. He's obsessed with all the pictures and with Kim.
"He bows down to her each day."

FKA twigs has put Robert Pattinson on a diet.
The 'Two Weeks' hitmaker - who has been dating the 'Twilight' star since summer - is reportedly so unimpressed with her boyfriend's poor fitness levels that she decided to do something about it.
A source revealed: "He's very unfit, smokes and drinks way too much, but she's convinced him he'll be much happier if he's more healthy ...
"[She's] teaching him what foods are good, limiting his booze to low-calorie spirits and getting him pumping barbells in his spare time."
The 26-year-old singer - whose real name is Tahliah Barnett - is believed to have implemented the healthy eating and exercise campaign to improve their sex life.
The source continued: "FKA's so fit it's not funny and she outperforms him in the bedroom all the time."
Meanwhile, friends of the 28-year-old actor are reportedly unhappy with his "strange" behaviour since he started dating Tahliah.
The source revealed that Robert - who "was always a bit of a nerd growing up" - has been trying too hard to "be cool", making up for lost time during his youth.
They explained to OKMagazine.com: "Rob's been going through a very strange phase, and while there's no doubt he's sweet on Tahliah, he's partying way too hard for his own good and acting like a total space cadet.
"He's easily influenced and this is a classic case of Rob trying to impress the cool crowd of hipsters he's been hanging out with.
"His oldest friends and even his family are shocked but he's not listening to anyone and genuinely thinks it's a cool new style!"

Cate Blanchett is proud of Emma Watson.
The 'Blue Jasmine' star has praised the 'Harry Potter' actress for her speech on gender equality for the United Nations (UN) in September this year.
Speaking to Porter magazine, the 45-year-old actress said: "I was so f***ing proud of Emma Watson's speech at the UN.
"It was brilliant, such an incredible use of her airspace, and really passionate. It was fantastic."
Emma - who is a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador - recently spoke out to encourage gender equality through the HeForShe campaign.
Speaking at the campaign's launch earlier this year, Emma said: "I was appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women six months ago and the more I've spoken about feminism, the more I have realised that fighting for women's rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. If there is one thing I know for certain, it is that this has to stop ...
"It is time that we all see gender as a spectrum instead of two sets of opposing ideals. We should stop defining each other by what we are not and start defining ourselves by who we are."
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old actress recently admitted that she was very "nervous" ahead of her UN speech because she wasn't sure how she'd be received by those in attendance.
She said previously: "I was very nervous. It wasn't an easy thing for me to do.
"It felt like, 'Am I going to have lunch with these people, or am I going to be eaten? Am I the lunch?'"

Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger are too "young" to have children.
The 2014 Formula 1 champion isn't ready to settle down and start a family with the 36-year-old singer because they are both too busy.
Speaking about the future of his relationship with Nicole, Lewis said: "She's amazing with kids, I think we're both pretty good with kids ... but we don't have time for that at the moment. There are so many things we want to do, but the great thing is that we support each other with it. All in good time. She's still massively young and I'm still young man!"
Sitting on the 'This Morning' sofa today (27.11.14), the 29-year-old racing driver - who won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday (23.11.14) - explained how it can be tricky navigating both of their hectic schedules, especially since Nicole agreed to perform as Grizabella in Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End show 'Cats'.
He shared: "With our careers people perhaps don't understand that she lives in LA, I live in Monaco and we're in and out all the time. Schedules are changing all the time. She's doing 'Cats' now which means she's here for the next two months and I go away and do my training, so during the year we're always apart, but people can see there's a lot of depth there - we've been together for almost seven years."

Idris Elba admits fame has made him "paranoid" about people.
The 42-year-old actor is now one of the most recognisable faces in TV and film due to his roles in 'Luther', 'Thor', 'Prometheus' and 'Pacific Rim' but he admits his celebrity status has made him question people's intentions towards him a lot more.
He told the new issue of Loaded magazine: "You know 'The Truman Show'? Sometimes you're not sure what's real or not, especially when it comes to relationships. If you're adored by millions, sometimes even on your own front doorstep you can become paranoid and constantly question, 'Who is he? Who is she? I know I've been guilty of it in the past."
Idris is considered by fans to be one of the coolest actors around and he has no shortage of female admirers.
The hunky star - who has baby son Winston with girlfriend Naiyana Garth and daughter Isan with his ex-wife Kim Elba - doesn't consider himself to be cool but thinks people gravitate towards him because he's down-to-earth.
He said: "Mr cool? Me? Well I wouldn't go quite that far. You know what I think it is? I think people like to see some genuine attributes in people they admire, you know a bit of relatability, I think I have that. And I think I've always managed to remain as Idris. It goes a long way in this business if people can relate to you. They believe in you more, they want to see you win more and they support you better. I've been on both sides. I've gone to America as the new boy and come back to England as the old boy and I've watched American actors come here and realise immediately why they aren't relatable - you just don't want to go to the pub with them."
