Rihanna swears off musician boyfriends

Rihanna has promised to avoid having relationships with rappers.
The Bajan beauty has previously dated 'Loyal' hitmaker Chris Brown and Canadian rapper Drake, but has now decided to avoid musicians when searching for a potential partner.
A source close to Rihanna revealed: "She isn't going to mess with anybody in the industry like that anymore.
"Those guys bring her nothing but pain and heartbreak."
The 'Diamonds' singer has been criticised in the past for her on/off relationship with Chris after he physically assaulted her in 2009, but the insider revealed she has now realised the error of her ways, and is keen to find a man who can bring her real happiness as well as the pleasure in the bedroom which was "all those dudes were good for."
The source continued: "Most of them are whack and very childish.
"She doesn't have time for that. She's not trying to raise a man. She already tried that twice and it didn't work.
"All those dudes were good for was sex anyway, that was by far their best quality.
"But when it came to love, commitment, honesty and trying to build a future, they all fell way short."
The 26-year-old singer - who is expected to release her eighth studio album this year - is now believed to have matured and knows she deserves to be treated properly which is why she thinks a rapper boyfriend is never going to be the right fit for her.
The source told HollywoodLife.com: "She's not that girl anymore.
"She's grown up now and can find someone good in the sack anywhere. She's looking for more and doesn't think guys in music, especially rappers, have the key to the lock around her heart."

Amal Clooney risked arrest in Egypt

Amal Clooney risked arrest during a trip to Egypt.
The human rights lawyer - who wed Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney in Venice last September - has revealed she was told she may face arrest for criticising the country's government while defending one of three Al-Jazeera journalists who were jailed in the country.
Writing in a report for the International Bar Association, the 36-year-old activist had said the nation's judiciary should be more independent of the Egyptian government, but was advised she risked arrest if she published the recommendations.
She said: "When I went to launch the report, first of all they stopped us from doing it in Cairo.
"They said, 'Does the report criticise the army, the judiciary, or the government?' We said, 'Well, yes'. They said, 'Well then, you're risking arrest'."
The journalists - Mohamed Fahmy, Peter Greste and Baher Mohamed - were sentenced to prison for between seven and 10 years following a trial last June, but after the country's court announced the men would face a retrial earlier this week, the barrister has criticised the courts once again, saying the results were likely to be no different because officials are able to choose which judges sentence the men.
She explained: "We've seen the results of that in this particular case, where you had a hand-picked panel led by a judge who is known for dispensing brutal verdicts.
"And this one is no different."

Elle Macpherson says relationships made her more self-aware

Elle Macpherson understood her character defects through her relationships.
The 50-year-old model has been married twice - to Gilles Bensimon between 1986 and 1989 and to Jeffrey Soffer, who she married in 2013 - and Elle says the relationships have helped make her more self-aware.
She explained: "If you really want to know your character defects, get into a relationship. They come up all the time. When I'm alone, I have no one to fight with. I don't have to practise patience or allowance or forgiveness.
"It's easy, but I don't grow. Being in a relationship highlights things I have to work on in my own personality to help me be more open and free."
Elle also admits to being calculating when it comes to decisions about her career.
She told The Times newspaper: "There is an element of detachment in my decision-making. [After 'Sirens', the 1993 film in which she appeared naked], I thought, 'Hey, I've got an opportunity here.' If people want this, I can do a Playboy shoot and flood the press with images I love and I'll get paid for it.
"The knock-on effect was there was no more interest in the images but, thanks very much, I'll buy one more house with the proceeds."

Damian Lewis found therapy ‘unhelpful’

Damian Lewis found therapy to be "unhelpful".
The 'Homeland' star entered therapy following the sudden death of his mother in a car crash in India in 2001, but says it did little to ease his sense of pain.
The 43-year-old actor explained: "I had about three sessions, after my mother died. He was extremely good, but it was unhelpful. It didn't add anything. I didn't leave therapy from fear, I left from ... Being an actor is a constant exploration and examination of others. Of self. Of things that motivate people.
"So you do sort of have that training [in psychology] anyway. You're an observer. And if you're good, you're a sympathetic and understanding observer."
Damian added that actors have a broader responsibility than a mere entertainer.
He told The Times newspaper: "I think actors are a force for good. I think actors can be a glue. A societal glue. Their empathy, their sympathy, their ... understanding of other people, their generosity of spirit, their willingness to engage, to commit, sometimes just socially ... Actors can open up social occasions with their warmth, with their wit. Social measures."

Rita Ora ‘will emulate Stella McCartney’

will.i.am thinks Rita Ora will one day emulate the success of Stella McCartney.
Will and Rita both appear together on the new-look judging panel for the BBC reality TV show 'The Voice', and Will thinks the 24-year-old beauty - who has already designed clothes for Adidas - is destined for huge things in the coming years.
He explained: "She's up there with people like Pharrell Williams in terms of products. And the thing is she's only 24. In another ten years, where will she be? I see her as being a Stella McCartney."
The pair first met when she was just 18, and Will recalled being shocked to learn that she was so young.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: "I didn't believe she was 18. Or I didn't want to believe she was 18. When you see someone who's really hot, you don't want them to be that age. I remember saying, 'Please tell me you're not 18.'"
Rita, who will also star on the show alongside Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson, the lead singer of the Kaiser Chiefs, revealed Will has become one of her mentors.
She said: "He's been a great mentor, completely honest. He's one of those people you'd answer the phone to after midnight. There are only a few people in this industry who really care about others, and he's one of them."

Gary Barlow is to play at the weddings of three of his fans in 2015.
The Take That frontman has revealed the news on Twitter, where he explained he receives thousands of wedding requests every week and has decided to grant the wishes of three of his biggest fans.
In a series of tweets, the 43-year-old star wrote: "Ready for some fun ? (sic)
"Every week I receive thousands of requests to sing at someone's Wedding !
"In 2015 I want to sing at 3 weddings.
"The only deal is they have to be HUGE fans.
"And all you have to do is stalk me on here."

The trio - featuring Gary, Mark Owen and Howard Donald - are desperate to perform at Worthy Farm in Somerset, South West England, but festival organiser Michael Eavis will not return their calls.
Howard said: "Historically we've never done festivals - we did try and contact Michael Eavis but he didn't reply."

Liam Payne buys new super-mansion

Liam Payne spent £5.1 million on his new super-mansion.
The One Direction star, who grew up in a £150,000 three-bed semi-detached house in Wolverhampton, is now the proud owner of a three-storey home in Surrey that features an all-weather tennis court, cinema and heated outdoor swimming pool, in addition to a 700-bottle wine store and ballet studio.
The 21-year-old singer moaned last year about 1D fans appearing outside his home, but that's unlikely to be a problem now, with a source telling The Sun newspaper: "The security is insane. Every part of the house and grounds are in camera isolation zones, many heat and motion monitored."
News of Liam's purchase comes shortly after a report claimed that One Direction earned almost £6 million each in 2013.
Figures filed on behalf of the band, which comprises Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam, at Companies House showed they logged a turnover of £49.1 million in 2013, and each member drew a salary of £5.6 million.
A source said: "Their earning power has rocketed over the past 12 months."
In fact, their earnings more than doubled since 2012, where they earned £18.1 million and took home £2 million each.

Ariana Grande denies she’s split from Big Sean

Ariana Grande has denied claims she's split from her boyfriend Big Sean.
The 21-year-old star has been dating the rapper for the past few months and her representatives have strongly denied recent reports claiming they are no longer a couple.
A member of Ariana's camp told MailOnline that the claims are "absolutely" false, insisting the couple remain together.
The denial comes shortly after a report in Star magazine alleged that the 'Bang Bang' hitmaker found some saucy photos on the phone of the 25-year-old rapper.
An insider told the publication: "She refuses to return his calls. She feels completely violated and has lost all trust in him.
"His grandma passed away a few days later and she hasn't even called to check up on him. They're done!"
Big Sean's grandmother passed away on December 23 and he recently took to social media to pay tribute to her.
He wrote: "My grandma passed away a couple days ago. I haven't said anything to anyone because honestly I feel like she's still here."
Ariana and Big Sean first went public with their relationship in October and have regularly been seen together since.

Macklemore ‘is set to become a dad’

Macklemore is expecting his first child with his fiancée Tricia Davis.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper has been engaged to Tricia for two years and according to a report in the New York Post's Page Six Column, they are set to welcome their first child.
Tricia and Macklemore, 31, celebrated New Year's in Las Vegas and a source told the newspaper: "Tricia wasn't drinking while everyone else had a cocktail."
Macklemore performed on the night with Ryan Lewis, but kept a close eye on his fiancée all evening.
The source explained: "She was dancing and standing in the back, but not really with the crowd. If Macklemore wasn't performing, he was right next to her, guarding her."
And the insider added that when Tricia put her hand on her stomach, "that's when you could see a baby bump!"
Tricia and the 'Thrift Shop' star have been together for eight years, having met when she was a nurse.
Macklemore proposed to her in January 2013, since when his career has gone on a sharp upward trajectory.
The rapper announced recently that his third studio album will be released sometime in the second half of 2015.
