Rita Ora is ‘grateful’ to Chris Brown

Rita Ora is "grateful" for Chris Brown's "support".
The 24-year-old singer recently released her single 'Body On Me' on which she duetted with the R&B bad boy and she admits she's very thankful that Chris, 26, even agreed to work with her considering he has so many tracks out this summer.
Speaking to Billboard magazine, she said: "I respect Chris' work and I thought the tone of voice fit perfectly with the record. There's a lot more to think about than how many songs Chris has out at the moment. I'm just a fan, and I'm very, very grateful that he wanted to support me."
Rita is getting ready to release her second album - the follow-up to 2012's 'Ora' - and admits she does feel "pressure" for the LP to do well because has the need to succeed in all aspects of her career.
The 'X Factor' judge explained: "(Pressure) is always there. It's just in my subconscious at all times - that's the world we live in unfortunately. So I try not to focus on that and just do the best at what I can do."
As well as her music career and new 'X Factor' job, Rita has also branched out into acting with roles in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and 'Southpaw' and into fashion with deals with Adidas and DKNY but she won't let anything distract her from her day job of being a pop star.
She said: "My favourite thing ever in what I do is performing live. It's about not having any rules. I've been very adamant on making sure that there is a sense of freedom on my stage, whether it's outfits or being comfortable in your sexuality, whatever. I'm very proud of what I am."

David Beckham receives Legend of Football Award

David Beckham accepted the Legend of Football Award at the 20th Anniversary HMV Football Extravaganza last night (02.09.15).
The global soccer icon received the accolade at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London for his services to the sport and said he felt "fortunate" to be among the prestigious winners.
Addressing the crowd, David, 40, said: "I'm incredibly honoured to have received this award. When you look at the list of the previous recipients, I feel very fortunate to join them. More importantly the night has been about recognising the fantastic work that Nordoff Robbins does and raising funds for their vital work."
The ex-Manchester United footballer helped raise £541,000 for the charity - which uses music therapy to rehabilitate adults and children - through an auction that sold two lunches with the star, a meet and greet package with One Direction and a collection of seven framed shirts signed by David.
He added: "Thank you to everyone at Nordoff Robbins, what they are doing is so incredible, changing the lives of children with difficulties who are in situations which most of us will never have to face. Congratulations on your work, it really is incredible."
David's wife Victoria, 41, took to Twitter to congratulate her husband and the charity.
She penned: "Congratulations David! You inspire me every day, I'm so proud of you x @NordoffRobbins1
Previous winners of the award are Chelsea football club manager Jose Mourinho, retired Brazilian footballer Pele and Sir Bobby Charlton CBE.
Key moments from David's evening were captured live on new app MyEye, of which the former England captain is a founding investor.
Speaking exclusively to MyEye followers, he said: "I am here tonight in London at an event that is celebrating my career, a lot of family, here, friends, people who I have played with over the years and people who have been part of my career for 22 years. I am excited, it is going to be an emotional night and it is all for a great cause. Nordoff Robbins is an amazing charity raising so much money and awareness. I am very happy to be here and looking forward to the night."

Andrew Garfield bares his ‘soul’ in movies

Andrew Garfield gives fans his "soul".
'The Amazing Spider‑Man' star revealed he doesn't interact with people on social media sites like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook because he wants to give movie goers his "deepest self" through his acting work.
He said: "I just want to give them my work. I want to give them my soul. I don't want to give away the little tidbits of information that I don't think adds anything to the conversation for me. I wanna give my deepest self."
And the 32-year-old actor thinks social media is damaging.
He explained: "It's a huge conversation, isn't it? Cause I'm not dead against it but I also feel more attuned to potential damage that it could be causing our brains and our ability to be with ourselves and each other in an authentic and deep way. You can't get to anything that really meaningful. So I don't participate in it, not to say that I will never, but I don't have a reason to right now as far as I can see."
Meanwhile, the star - who's long-term partner is 'Birdman' actress Emma Stone, 26 - plays a single dad in his next film '99 Homes' and felt like he was "groping in the dark" with the character.
He told ET Online: "I kind of thought, 'Well, how do I do that? If I haven't experienced it, can I do it?' but then I realised that's the situation of every single father in the history of time. Everybody who becomes a father has never been a father before, so we're all going into this initiation totally blind and groping in the dark so I kind of went with that feeling of not knowing what the hell I was doing and it kind of helped."

Melissa Rivers has scattered Joan Rivers’ ashes

Melissa Rivers scattered Joan Rivers' ashes while on holiday in Wyoming.
The 'Fashion Police' producer and panellist always vacationed there with her late mother - who died during routine throat surgery aged 81 last September - so on her most recent trip with son Cooper, 14, they decided to leave a part of her behind so they can "still be together" as a family every year.
She shared: "Coop and I took our annual family vacation to Wyoming. [The] first without my mom and scattered some of her ashes there so we can still be together every August as a family."
The 30-year-old presenter also insisted she has no "big grand plan" for the anniversary of the late 'Fashion Police' host's death and will just carry on with normal life, though when they come home she will "light a candle" and raise a glass of wine to her mother.
She told 'Entertainment Tonight': "Everyone expects me to have this big grand plan for the 4th and I am just going to be spending it with my son. He is going to go to school, I am going to go to work and come home and light a candle, and have a glass of wine."

Cindy Crawford glad she waited to have kids

Cindy Crawford thinks it is "great" that she wasn't a young mother.
The 49-year-old supermodel - who has son Presley, 16, and daughter Kaia, 14, with husband Rande Gerber - is pleased she had the time to be "selfish" and figure out her life before she settled down to start a family when she was truly ready.
She said: "My mom was very young, and that worked out great, but for me it was great that I wasn't a young mother. I was able to be selfish with my time in my 20s -- to try to figure who I was and what I wanted. When I did finally have kids, I was ready to put myself second, or third, or fourth.... All of a sudden, your priorities just change. I was ready to let something else be the focus."
Cindy married first husband Richard Gere in 1991 but their "fairy tale" marriage ended just four years later and though she was devastated at the time, it gave her a more "realistic" view of relationships, making her subsequent union with Rande even stronger.
She explained in an interview with Elle Canada magazine: "The other defining moment in my life was the end of my first marriage. It was like a fairy tale.
"You'd think I would know that the fairy tale wasn't true because I'd lost my brother and my parents had got divorced, but we all want to believe in the movie version of love.
"It was crushing, and it made me realize that I had to look at relationships realistically. You have to put that vanity version of a relationship aside -- that's like playing dress-up.
"I went to a relationship therapist and she asked me a great question: 'Are you looking for a soulmate or a husband? They're not necessarily the same thing. A husband is the guy who is solid, and you know you want to have children with him and you know he's going to be there.'
"The relationship therapist helped me to appreciate the solidity -- the foundations. I've been with Rande for close to 20 years, and he's now my soulmate. We were able to grow together."

Janet Jackson makes emotional live return

Janet Jackson got emotional as she performed a tribute to her late brother Michael Jackson on the opening night of her 'Unbreakable World Tour' in Vancouver, Canada, on Tuesday evening (01.09.15).
The 49-year-old pop legend returned to the stage for the first time in four years at the Rogers Arena and wowed the capacity crowd with a 32-song set packed with her greatest hits.
But when she sang the track 'Scream' - which she recorded as a duet with her brother Michael in 1995 - Janet broke down, showing she is still in pain over his death in June 2009 at the age of 50.
Janet opened her show with an as-yet unnamed track - rumoured to be called 'Burn It Up' - from her new album 'Unbreakable' which featured Missy Elliott rapping.
Before the music hit, a video of swarming birds, seemingly inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds', played on a giant screen as Janet delivered a spoken word monologue praising her fans.
Then a recording of Elliot appeared on two giant screens which framed Janet's silhouette and the R&B icon took centre stage to provide vocals over the high energy pop tune.
Before the concert kicked off, Elliot took to Twitter to wish her friend and long-time collaborator luck with her live return, tweeting: "Positive vibes to my sis @JanetJackson the opening of her tour 2night! U r UNBREAKABLE Do ya thang (sic)"
Other stand out moments during the concert included 'Control', 'What Have You Done for Me Lately', 'All for You', 'All Nite (Don't Stop)' 'Black Cat', 'No Sleeep' and 'Rhythm Nation'.
Janet closed her show with 'Unbreakable', the title track from her upcoming new album which is due to be released later this year.
Following her live return, Janet thanked the fans in attendance for making it an unforgettable night.
She posted on Twitter: "Hey you guys, Thank you for making No Sleeep #1 again & for showing so much love at last night's show in Vancouver. Love Janet #NoSL333P (sic)"

Kelis craves tomatoes

Kelis is craving tomatoes during her pregnancy.
The 'Milkshake' hitmaker - who already has son Knight, six, with her former rapper husband Nas - is expecting her second child with an unknown father and this time she cannot get enough of the red fruits, which her next door neighbour leaves outside her house for her and she eats simply with salt and pepper sprinkled on.
She said: "I'm pregnant! I'm so excited! It's really amazing. "My neighbour grows tomatoes and leaves them on my doorstep and I'll cut them up, use salt and pepper, and just eat them like that!"
While she is enjoying tomatoes, the 36-year-old singer instantly develops cravings for any other foods people mention in conversation.
She told US Weekly magazine: "I'm very open to the power of suggestion. If someone talks about a certain food, my pregnancy brain gets so focused and I have to have it!"
Kelis gushed about how "excited" Knight is to become a brother and how bringing out a cookbook 'My Life on a Plate' along with the new baby means it's "a really exciting time" for all of the family.
She added: "My son is excited to be a brother and I'm thrilled. With my cookbook coming out and a new baby, it's a really exciting time for us."
Kelis revealed she was pregnant on stage at Afropunk Festival in Brooklyn, New York last month.
A source previously shared: "She had a great time at Afropunk this weekend and will continue to perform as long as she feels good."

Miley Cyrus: Drug was ‘healing’

Miley Cyrus found hallucinogenic drugs "healing".
The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker is keen to try ayahuasca - an illegal blend of two plants, the ayahuasca vine and a shrub called chacruna which contains hallucinogenic drug dimethyltryptamine (DMT) - again because she"loved" the way it made her feel and understand who she really is.
She said: "I think ayahuasca is a healing thing. I only did it one time, but I want to do it again. I loved what it did for me.
"We all think we're good people, but I wanted to know in my heart, in my deepest soul. I wanted to know what outrides what: Am I really the person I think am?
"When I was on my trip, all I could focus on was the animals. I was puking up different animals -- dolphins and seals and giraffes. It's really crazy. This was literally a week before the Met Ball. At Met Ball, I was like, 'Guys, none of this matters.' "
In April 2014, Miley was left devastated when her beloved pet dog Floyd was killed by coyotes, but the 22-year-old star claims she had chance to "pet" him for "three hours" after visiting a Chinese healer and she believes the pooch's "energy" then transferred to her friend and collaborator Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips, bringing them closer together.
She told the New York Times newspaper: "This is going to sound crazy, but a Chinese healer sent me into a state where my dog was lifted out of my lungs and placed on my shoulder.
"I pet my dog for like three hours.
"[I told him I had to] let go and put his energy out. I really think, in a way, his energy went into Wayne's energy. What he was to me, Wayne has become."
Though Miley admits she is "in love" with the 56-year-old rocker, she insists their bond would never turn into a "sexual" relationship.
She added: "He's everything in the world -- you can't even define us.
"I am 100 percent in love with Wayne, and Wayne is in love with me, but it's nothing sexual in any way. That would be the grossest."

Robert Pattinson crashes Irish wedding

Robert Pattinson crashed a wedding at the weekend.
The 'Twilight' star was drinking in the Culloden Hotel in Belfast, Ireland, when he was spotted by a crowd of lively wedding guests who immediately recognised him as the Hollywood actor and made him join in the celebrations.
Attendee Jamie Reid saw the star and : "I plucked up the courage and went over and said he was going to get mobbed by about 20 girls, he is such a quiet guy and he was a bit taken back by it, all these girls."
Robert, 29, was in Ireland filming his next movie 'The Lost City of Z', and took some time to take photographs with the lucky bride and groom, Tom and Sarah Lenihan, and the excited guests before being "moved" on by hotel security.
Jamie told Belfast Live: "In fairness, he sat and got his pictures taken until the Culloden staff came and moved him on."
And the 'Bel Ami' star wasn't the only famous face at the wedding, as the newlyweds also grabbed a picture with The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue.
Jamie said: "We came in the main entrance and bumped into Danny from The Script.
"He was a really nice guy and went out and got pictures with everyone. He was really sound and down to earth and spent a lot of time with everyone. The rest of his band and crew were there but kept to themselves."
Meanwhile, Robert might have taken the opportunity to report back ideas for his own wedding to his indecisive fiancee FKA Twigs.
Apparently the 'Pendulum' hitmaker can't settle on whether she wants a "low-key' wedding or an "elaborate affair", and has pushed back the date for them to tie the knot.
A source said: "She talks about it keeping as real and low-key and then wants an elaborate glamorous Baroque affair. She was even talking at one stage about having a masked ball."
