Cheryl Fernandez-Versini likes being ‘free’ in America

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is glad she isn't famous in the US because she needs to be able to go to places where she "can be free".
The 'I Don't Care' singer insists she has never had "an American Dream" and has never pursued Stateside chart success because she enjoys having anonymity outside of the UK so she can enjoy a normal lifestyle.
In an interview with ES Magazine, Cheryl said: "I never had an American Dream ... I've had opportunities to sign a solo US deal that I didn't take ... I couldn't bear to think of being famous worldwide ... I like to go to places where I'm not known, where I can be free."
Cheryl did sign up to be a judge on the American version of 'The X Factor' in 2011 but was fired from the pop star search show just a few weeks in, allegedly by text message, by boss Simon Cowell.
The former Girls Aloud star - who returned to the judging panel of the UK 'X Factor' last year - accepts Simon had to let her go as she was in a "dark place" following the end of her marriage to soccer player Ashley Cole in 2010 and wasn't up to starring on the programme.
Cheryl - who is married to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini - said: "I was running away from so much stuff in my life in the UK, I took the job ... I was suffering from a lot of things - heartache, confusion - I was in a dark place. It was definitely handled the wrong way. I've made (Simon) fully aware of that."

Mark Ronson hires luxury estate for 40th birthday bash

Mark Ronson has reportedly hired a 100-acre estate in Oxfordshire for his 40th birthday bash.
The 'Uptown Funk' hitmaker is expected to be celebrating the milestone along with his showbiz pals at the luxury Soho Farmhouse in Chipping Norton, England tonight (03.09.15) and plans on taking his VIP guests to Festival No.6 in Portmeirion, North Wales afterwards where he is set to DJ and a source has shared how it will be "the party of the year".
The source revealed to The Sun newspaper: "It's going to be the party of the year. Mark is one of the most well-connected men in music and has invited the great and the good of his showbiz pals.
"He's had one of the greatest years of his career and wants to top it off with a party no one will forget."
Soho Farmhouse is exclusively a members only club deep in the Oxfordshire countryside and there are 40 cabins surrounding the property, which the musician is believed to have hired for his guests to stay in after the celebrations.
Ahead of his birthday the 'Valerie' producer admitted he thinks he is "past my sell-by date" in terms of pop music, but joked that Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk are of a similar age and that "experience" could be the key.
He previously said: "I'm so far past my sell-by date of what pop music is supposed to be.
"But, if you look at it, Pharrell and Daft Punk are around that age. So maybe there's something to be said for experience."

Hulk Hogan’s ‘really bad choices’

Hulk Hogan's daughter knows her father made some "really bad choices".
The 62-year-old professional wrestler was sacked from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) when an eight-year-old recording of him using a racial slur to describe 27-year-old Brooke's then-boyfriend surfaced.
She said: "What he said was not right, but I know that's not who he is. He has told me that he made some really bad choices, but that it never changed that I was his baby girl and he loved me and be would lost without his kids.
"Maybe the positive of this whole situation is shedding light on the need to eliminate hateful words from our vocabulary altogether."
And Hulk - real name: Terry Bollea - has admitted it was "one huge mistake" to say what he did but says the word was common-placed during his childhood days in Port Tampa, Florida.
He explained: "We are all products of our environment. If you lived in South Tampa then, you greeted your friends with the n-word, or if you were mad at your friends, you used the n-word. It was a part of my daily environment.
"As soon as I broke out of that environment - that small fish bowl - and became the Hulk Hogan wrestling star, the rest of the world wasn't like the place I grew up. I realised right away that I had to reeducate myself.
"When you inherit something that is passed on generation to generation to generation, it becomes a practice. You have to be aware of it. I realised this behaviour and this type of verbiage is unacceptable. So for me to digress and say something so foul is devastating."
And Terry hopes the incident will be turned into something positive and teach others the word isn't acceptable.
He added to PEOPLE magazine: "[The day the tape was released, it was] the worst day of my life to the best day of my life.
"It's taken this huge burden off my shoulders because behind this dark cloud is going be this huge shiny lesson, and I'm going to help people with this. I've always known that I wasn't put on this world just to be a wrestler."

And Kim isn't shy of posting a revealing photo despite admitting she found it "tough" losing weight after giving birth to two-year-old daughter North.
She said: "I couldn't help it, and everyone would say, 'She can't stop eating.' I delivered at 180, and they were like, 'She's 210 pounds. She's getting dumped because she's too fat' and all these ridiculous stories.
"It really took a toll after the fact, when I was losing weight. I gained 50 pounds, and it's tough to get it off. I was dedicated, but also, it changed the way I viewed wanting my picture taken."

Amanda Peterson died from an accidental drug overdose.
The 43-year-old actress - who is best known for her role as Cindy Mancini in the 1987 comedy film 'Can't Buy Me Love' opposite Patrick Dempsey - passed away at her home in Colorado in July and the coroner's report has now revealed the cause as a "toxic drug cocktail".
TMZ reports the Weld County Coroner in Colorado, discovered she had a number of "prescription drugs in her system, including benzodizepines (anti-anxiety meds), opiates and phenothiazines (an anti-psychotic medication)".
She also had six times the recommended amount of the prescription drug Gabapentin in her system

Justin Bieber explains MTV VMAs tears

Justin Bieber cried at the MTV VMAs because he was overwhelmed.
The 21-year-old singer broke down on stage during the performance of his comeback single 'What Do You Mean?' on Sunday (30.09.15) and admitted it was because he was so surprised by the support he received.
He told chat show host Jimmy Fallon: "It was just so overwhelming for me - everything, just the performancee. I just wasn't expecting them to support me in the way they did. The last time I was at an awards show, I was booed. I think it's just like I've worked so hard at this album and at becoming the man I want to become, and then stepping into situations, you just can't help but feel judged.
"So I was just feeling judged and wanting to win so badly, and wanting to do what I love so badly that I just put everything on the line. And I think that that was what was so special about the emotional moment at the end, that it was authentic. It was real. I was really just wanting it so bad."
However, Justin admitted he wasn't completely happy with his performance, saying: "I missed some cues, so I was a little disappointed at that."

Bono not likely to play guitar again

Bono's chances of playing guitar again are "not looking good".
The U2 frontman suffered multiple fractures on his face, arm, shoulder and left hand after falling off his bicycle last November, and as two of his fingers remain numb and won't extend, he is uncertain whether he can play his instrument any more.
He said: "It's not looking good. I'm embarrassed talking about it. It's just a bummer if you like playing guitar."
In 2010, the 'One' singer underwent surgery following a spinal injury and admitted he was almost left permanently damaged.
He said: "I nearly crippled myself. I was that close."
The 55-year-old rocker - who has four kids with wife Ali Hewson - thinks he needs to start taking better care of himself.
He admitted: "Ali says to me, 'Can't you take a hint?' She says, 'You drive through life like a tank.' And it's true. Edge says I look upon my body as an inconvenience. I guess that's going to have to stop."
During U2's recent run of concerts in Boston, Bono visited throat surgeon Dr. Steven Zeitels and horrified the specialist when he admitted to not having had a check-up in 12 years.
He recalled in an interview with Q magazine: "He said, 'Doesn't your living depend on that? Do you not think that's a bit odd?' I said, 'Yeah, I think that might be a bit odd.' I shall change."

Drew Barrymore wishes she could change her past

Drew Barrymore wishes she could change "everything" about her past.
The three-times married star - who first took drugs at just 10 years old and subsequently checked into rehab numerous times - has some regrets about her previous conduct, but also appreciates her mistakes because they made her the person she is today.
Asked what she would change about the past, she said: "Probably everything but if you're happy with your life today, you have to be appreciative of every single moment that led you to get here."
The 39-year-old actress - who has daughters Olive, three, and Frankie, 16 months, with husband Will Kopelman - feels "lucky" she had her "experimental phase" in the 90s, rather than today as the world is "much worse" now.
She said: "Most people go through an experimental phase in their lives but it isn't public.
"I had to learn a lot of lessons on my own. But I was never a bad person, I never f***ed anyone over.
"I feel very lucky that it happened then. This is a much worse world to go through anything now. I'm like a quiet, boring church mouse now."
The 'Miss You Already' actress - who shot to fame appearing in 'E.T.' when she was just six years old - admits people approach her with a sense of familiarity because she has grown up in the public eye.
She told Red magazine: "I'm Norm from 'Cheers'. I walk into a place and everyone says, 'Hi Norm'. It's just what my life is."
