Aimee Osbourne has described 'The Osbournes' as "very silly".
The eldest child of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne opted not to be a part of the MTV reality show which followed the lives of her parents and her two younger siblings Jack and Kelly when it first began in 2002 and was left unimpressed by the finished product.
She explained: "Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television?
"I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable.
"It didn't matter what I thought, ultimately. This was their path, their decision, and they were of course at liberty to take the opportunity. Which they did.
"I suppose I was the one that had to be in control a lot of the time. But then it came naturally. And, for me, watching people get out of control, and be indulgent and dramatic was ... well, very silly.
"When you are already surrounded by that kind of thing, you either surrender fully and accept it as your destiny, or you think to yourself, 'You know what? I'm not going to try that, actually.' OK, it may have been their thing, but I didn't want to do that. I kept it together, mostly."
The 32-year-old singer - who now performs under her initials, ARO - said she continues to feel the "opposite" of her mother who loves media attention.
She continued: "I'll be having lunch with my mum and she'll complain about the paparazzi outside. I tell her that she could have worn a beanie, but of course she never does. She loves it - it's how she chooses to connect with people. That's fine, I can respect that. But I'm the opposite. I always have been."
But Aimee said she now has little contact with Kelly, 30, or Jack, 29.
She told The Independent on Sunday newspaper: "I wouldn't say there is an ease between us, but there is an acceptance. Do we socialise? No."

Richard Madden has branded Cara Delevingne "unprofessional" for her awkward interview on 'Good Day Sacramento'.
A conversation featuring the model-turned-actress giving short and blunt answers about her movie 'Paper Towns' on US television went viral in July and was dubbed one of the most cringeworthy chats ever, but 'Game of Thrones' actor Richard has criticised her behaviour insisting she should have been more polite to the interviewers as it's part of her job.
He said: "It was unprofessional.
"It made her seem ungrateful. She showed her age. For 'Cinderella', I did six weeks of those interviews, where you get asked the same eight questions."
The 29-year-old hunk went on to suggest she shouldn't have become an actress if she can't deal with the necessary publicity which comes with being in films.
He told Style magazine: "If you're not capable of doing that gracefully, then don't do it."
Cara, 23, hit out at critics following the interview by refusing to apologise and saying her sarcastic responses just showed she's "human".
She tweeted: "I am soooooo lucky and anyone who thinks I am unappreciative or ungrateful clearly doesn't know me
"I work really really hard and love what I do, I don't feel like I need to apologize for being human #sorrynotsorry (sic)."

Jennifer Aniston has "more confidence than ever".
The 'Cake' star - who recently tied the knot with "best friend" Justin Theroux - feels more self-assured than she has in the past.
She said: "When it comes to relationships, I'm a late bloomer. But I've learnt from my mistakes, am comfortable in my own skin and have more confidence that ever. In Justin, I have met my best friend - that's the icing on the cake!
"He is kind, honest, and generous and has empathy for other people ... I think that's amazing! The fact that he also has a dry sense of humour is a big plus."
And the 46-year-old beauty - who got engaged to the 'Leftovers' star three years ago - says the pair took their time before getting hitched because they didn't need to have the "piece of paper".
She told German magazine TV Direkt: "We weren't in a rush. It's not like we felt any less close to one another just because we didn't have a piece of paper to prove we were together."
Meanwhile, Justin, 44, previously admitted he is finding married life "different".
He shared: "It does feel different. I'm very happy. It's nice to be able to look down and see a new piece of jewellery on my finger."

Boy George's relationships aren't "claustrophobic" anymore.
The 'Karma Chameleon' hitmaker claims the way he has approached romance is different now because he's not as "obsessive".
He explained: "They're very different now when I have them. They're not claustrophobic. They're not needy. In fact sometimes I think something is wrong with me because I am not obsessive like I used to be.
"But I can't bear the thought of ever feeling like that again, even though I got great songs out of it. I just can't think of anything more hideous."
And the 54-year-old singer has admitted he rarely gets involved in relationships nowadays, which meant he has had to look for other forms of inspiration for his music.
He told DuJour magazine: "I don't really have relationships anymore, so I don't really have anything to write about in that department. I'm happy, and that's an interesting challenge.
"I'm not saying I lived my whole life being unhappy, but I always used to draw on drama to write. So my process has broadened out now. I read a lot, and I use a lot of the things I need. I try to find other ways of coming up with a subject."

Anne Hathaway thinks age is "fluid".
The 'Devil Wears Prada' star loves working alongside "more seasoned actors", admitting she couldn't believe her luck when she got to work alongside Robert De Niro on 'The Intern'.
She told Empire magazine: "It's always fun to work with more seasoned actors, someone whose work you respect. I think of age as a fluid thing. But when you get to work with someone like Bobby, you have such a beautiful range of work to learn from before you even meet them.
"And then getting to see up close how that body of work came into being is tremendous. But then, when I worked with Emily Blunt [in 'The Devil Wears Prada'], she floored me every single day and I hadn't seen any of her previous work."
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old actress previously insisted she isn't worried about being beaten to movie roles by her younger counterparts as she was once in their position.
She explained: "I can't complain about it because I benefitted from it. When I was in my early twenties, parts would be written for women in their fifties and I would get them. And now I'm in my early thirties and I'm like, 'Why did that 24 year old get that part?'
"I was that 24 year old once, I can't be upset about it, it's the way things are. All I can do right now is think that thankfully you have built up perhaps a little bit of cachet and can tell stories that interest you and if people go to see them you'll be allowed to make more."

Kristen Stewart thinks fear is "life's biggest killer".
The 'Still Alice' star believes trepidation can be "motivating" in smaller quantities but insists it can get "ugly" if it starts to control aspects of your life.
She said: "I think the biggest killer in this life is fear. I think a nice healthy dose of it can be motivating, but if you let it debilitate and dictate how you treat other people, it's very ugly."
And the 25-year-old actress has admitted she was "nervous" ahead of her role in latest film, 'Equals', as it was incredibly emotional to film.
She explained: "I was nervous going into the movie because of how simple it is and overtly emotional. I'm 25. I've been through some stuff and I knew it was going to be painful and I knew if I didn't do it right I would have hated myself.
"[The hardest part was] not allowing yourself to feel something. I wear my heart on my sleeve. If I'm in a mood, my mood shows."
During a press conference for the science fiction romance film, Kristen also pondered life's bigger questions
She told Deadline: "If you don't have passion for something - maybe not for another person - but if you have drive and passion and curiosity, that's what keeps our world spinning.
"If you take that away, why would you want to learn anything? Would we still exist if love didn't? No."

Caitlyn Jenner is "dying" to meet Angelina Jolie.
On an upcoming episode of 'I Am Cait', the 65-year-old former Olympian - who was known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a gender transition - couldn't help but gush about the 'Maleficent' star's fashion sense to stylist Jen Rade.
Speaking of her outfit for the 2015 ESPY Awards - where she took home the Arthur Ashe Courage Award - she said: "The bottom line is I really need a professional to coordinate everything. [Jen] does Angelina Jolie and I just love her look. Very casual, very elegant, chic, so I'm dying to meet her."
Later in the episode, the pair looked through Caitlyn's wardrobe when the star admitted she prefers "blending in" with her style.
Jen said: "Oh my gosh, this is a great closet! I was thinking I wanted to go shopping for you, but this is beautiful!"
And when Caitlyn told her she "just kind of likes blending in", Jen added: "I think it's a little late for that. We've leaped over that hurdle already!"
Meanwhile, a source previously claimed Caitlyn was considering more plastic surgery to look like the 40-year-old actress.
A pal shared: "She's planning to get plastic surgery to try to look just like Angie.
"As soon as she started dressing as a woman, people told her how much she resembles Angie. That's what she's been striving for, so it was the biggest compliments she could be given."

Niall Horan has fractured his foot.
The One Direction singer was seen with a cast on his right limb whilst on stage in Montreal, Canada last night (05.09.15) and when quizzed about the injury by bandmate Louis Tomlinson, the 21-year-old singer admitted he has no idea how he did it.
In a video posted online, he said: "I woke up before the show the other day and I had a pain in my foot. Then I went to get an X-ray today and I've got a fractured right foot and I don't know how."
The news will certainly not please the 'Night Changes' hitmaker as he has been making good progress recovering from his knee surgery.
In July this year, he shared his success with fans on Instagram, writing: "First time I've been able to touch my arse with my heel since I got the operation. Sounds so dumb, but it's a big day in my head haahah! (sic)"
And luckily for the accident-prone pop star, he has a reduced risk of injury, admitting he's not the daring type.
He said: "I'm not very daring, I'm all about a gentle game of golf. I'm actually quite boring and probably the worst pop star that ever walked the planet."
