Olivier Martinez doesn't want his and Halle Berry's son to go through a custody war.
The 49-year-old actor is reportedly desperate for the couple's two-year-old son Maceo to not be stuck in the middle of any disagreements like Halle's daughter Nahla, seven, was when she split from Gabriel Aubry.
He is believed to have been horrified by the bitterness between the 'Extant' actress and her ex, gossip website TMZ reports.
Meanwhile, Halle recently submitted a second lot of court documents, filing for divorce from her husband of two years after speculation that her original documents, filed on Monday (26.10.15), may be invalid as she used aliases and gave her estranged husband the documents herself, something forbidden under Californian law.
Meanwhile, a source admits the 49-year-old actress is "very sad" about the couple's split.
They said: "She is sad, very sad. This is never easy. Olivier has definite anger management issues. I think this was coming for a long time and [Berry was] not wanting to have to do this."
The pal also claims that the 'Dark Tide' star was "intimidated" because Halle "was the breadwinner".
They added: "He was emasculated by her beauty and her power, and his temper could erupt."

Nadine Coyle suffered serious carbon monoxide poisoning at her Los Angeles home.
The Girls Aloud singer revealed she rushed herself to hospital for blood tests when she and her family felt incredibly tired after they moved into the Californian property but claims the doctor didn't specifically mention the cause.
She said: "I was renting a house in LA ... you don't really notice it, you're like 'I'm really tired, is it with all the flying around, is it jet lag, am I getting sick, is it a cold, have we got a bug, why are we so tired all the time?', and then you would forget simple things, we couldn't remember the word for table, like, 'What is that? Put it on the...', we couldn't remember what is was. And it was the chest pains, I felt like I couldn't breathe.'
"So I went to the doctors and ... then when the blood tests came back they said it was exposure to high levels of gas, but still he hadn't said it was carbon monoxide."
And the 30-year-old star insists it was only by chance that the faulty boiler was discovered by a workman who came to service the appliance.
Speaking to ITV's Good Morning Britain, she added: "The boiler was faulty, there was a crack in it. It just happened to be someone was coming round, it was so lucky.
"[We were told] immediately, 'Everybody needs to get out, everybody needs to be out the house.'"

Khloé Kardashian has blasted Twitter trolls for their negative energy.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star gave a frank cover interview to PEOPLE magazine where she made comments about her relationship with estranged husband Lamar Odom, who is currently recovering in hospital after a four-day binge, and has slammed those who "think the worst of [her]".
She wrote on Twitter: "I want to make this VERY clear.... My people cover, I shot and interviewed for PRIOR to all the events that happened.
"It was contracted press for my book that I wrote months and months ago. Timing is what it is.
"Shame on you all for thinking the worst of me. It's been a tough few weeks. I don't need your f***ed up energy! (sic)"
The 31-year-old television personality went on to insist she has done all she can to "avoid this attention" as Lamar recovers.
She continued: "Know the facts before you throw stones. I had to do a follow up 5 minute phoner after the events only because I was contracted to. I cancelled my book tour to avoid this attention.
"To the ones who uplift and send love.... I love you more! I appreciate the support. Have a great day babies! Kisses and hugs (sic)"
During the interview, she told the magazine there were more "important things" to focus on than them being a couple.
She shared: "There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It's not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now."

David Beckham's new tattoo was designed by his daughter.
The former soccer star took to Instagram to reveal the new inking, a sketch of a girl drawn by his four-year-old daughter Harper, which he has had etched on his palm.
Captioning the photo, he wrote: "Apparently Harper is allowed to scribble on daddy (sic)"
Whilst wife Victoria Beckham wrote alongside a similar image: "Harper is a true little artist x x vb (sic)"
The 40-year-old star also debuted another new inking on his left ribcage of a scrawled message, 'We love you Daddy', which appears to have been based on the handwriting of one of his sons, Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, and Cruz, 10.
Captioning a photograph of the tattoo, he wrote: "The boys expressing how they feel about daddy (sic)"
Meanwhile, David recently showed off a rose tattoo on his neck near his 'Pretty Lady' inking, a tribute to Harper.
Writing at the time, he shared: "Hey Pretty Lady .... Just adding to the collection of tattoos that mean so much to me... Thanks Mark as always looks amazing ... @shamrocksocialclub (sic)"
David is a huge fan of tattoos, with each having a strong meaning for him. He recently got the number 99 inked on himself to note the year he married the 41-year-old fashion designer as well as celebrate his soccer achievements during that season.

Simon Cowell has had "too much Botox".
The 56-year-old music mogul insists he has "mellowed" when it comes to his beauty regime since welcoming son Eric, 20 months, with partner Lauren Silverman but admits he used to have the procedure a lot because "everyone on TV has it".
He said: "Hopefully I look better now - I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago, because everyone on TV has it. Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment. I have a girl who comes here and does a great face massage - it's very relaxing.
"I also had a sheep placenta facial once, which was quite out there. Then Sinitta recommended I try another detoxifying machine, and this thing turned up in my bedroom and it was like something out of Dr Who. It was like a spaceship had landed in my bedroom."
And the 'X Factor' judge also admits he has tried a number of other pampering procedures as he's a "sucker" for believing things will work.
He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm a sucker for reading about something out there and believing it will work. Once in LA, years ago, I met this girl who would wrap me up in cling film and then tin foil, after covering me in oils.
"It was meant to be detoxing. She then put me in this tube in my house, locked me into it for an hour, and told me what she liked or didn't like on the show. And because she was half-deaf, she was literally screaming at me. After about two months I realised, this is actually torture. That was crazy."

Ed Sheeran's family "worry" about his showbiz lifestyle.
The 'Thinking Out Loud' hitmaker's cousin, Jethro Sheeran, 39, has spoken out about his fears for the singer's health during the past year and believes that Ed's track 'Bloodstream' is about taking the class A drug MDMA.
Speaking about his reaction to seeing pictures of Ed stumbling out of the Brit Awards after party in February, he said: "I was worried about him, I think he had had too much to drink. He was a bit embarrassed about it but what are you going to do?
"Ed is very open about drugs. He has said how he fell in love with a bean bag because he was on MDMA. That is what 'Bloodstream' is about, chemicals in his bloodstream."
What's more, Jethro thinks 24 year old Ed's split from girlfriend Athina Andrelos earlier this year left him "confused" about the female attention he receives.
He added: "It was tough for him when he split up with her, he was quite into her, he took her to Ireland and met my grandma. Now he is getting used to the fact that everyone wants to get with Ed Sheeran, he is a bit confused because if he was a taxi driver I don't think that would happen. I think they fall in love with his voice."
Meanwhile, Jethro thinks the 24-year-old singer will benefit from a well deserved break in Ghana.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I think he just wants to sit at home and watch movies. He likes the music that has come out of Ghana, he knows that there is going to be no pressure. He just doesn't want to be recognised."

Louis Tomlinson was kicked out of a hotel after trashing his room.
The One Direction star and his pals were reportedly kicked out of the posh Malmaison hotel in Newcastle after partying at a popular student night following his gig at the Metro Radio Arena.
A source said: "Louis was having a lot of drinks at Digital, which is a favourite with students on the Toon. A vodka and lemonade only costs a quid."
The 23-year-old singer - who is expecting his first child - was seen clutching a bottle of alcohol as he made his way back to the hotel in the early hours of the morning but was soon shown the door, forcing him to sleep in the band's tour bus.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: "He went back to the Malmaison with a bottle of booze and two friends.
"But they were kicked out at 4am by security who were aware of the incident and were absolutely furious.
"He ran out of the hotel carrying all of his clothes and another bottle of booze. A waiting car drove him to the band's tour bus.
"He seemed to think it was a right joke but it's pretty disrespectful. He didn't seem too worried though."
While Louis was meant to be staying at the Malmaison - where a corner suite costs £195 a night - his One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan are said to have been at a different hotel.
The source added: "Louis is partying hard at the moment."

Kylie Jenner doesn't "care" about rumours anymore.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star is fed up with the constant speculation surrounding her love life and her body and insists she's had enough.
She tweeted: "I think I've just heard everything that could possibly be said about me already that I just don't care anymore. (sic)"
Meanwhile, the 18-year-old television personality was previously forced to deny she had undergone any plastic surgery, admitting she found it "surprising" that people think she has gone under the knife.
She wrote: "Well, I haven't done anything except my lips but nobody seems to believe that, so ... I don't really care. But, I did just turn 18, so it kind of surprises me when people think I've undergone so many surgeries.
"My mom wasn't even going to let me get my lips done. So, there's no way in hell she was going to let me get my boobs done, or my butt, or anything else. So, whatever."
Most recently, Kylie took to her website to insist her apparent breast enlargement was just the result of good contouring.
She shared: "No, people - I haven't gotten breast implants! Everyone is obsessed with that. Truth is, as I've gotten older, I've gained 15 pounds and my body has changed; I've definitely filled out.
"I swear there are things you can do to work on problem areas without having to think about plastic surgery. Contouring has changed my life!"

Jason Derulo is worried he could face eight years in prison over a wild birthday bash.
The singer threw a huge party at his castle in Tarzana, California, last month to celebrate his 26th birthday but was shocked when the Los Angeles Police Department raided it after noise complaints.
He told The Sun: "I had a party at my house and it was pretty crazy. I threw it with my friend The Game.
"Girls could direct message promoters to get to the party and those promoters would decide who they wanted to come.
"It was fly, we were having a lot of fun. Then all of a sudden a helicopter starts circling my house. I'm like, 'What the f***?'
"An hour later 50 police officers come barging in. Because of noise complaints. But I don't really have any neighbours close by.
"I was like, 'Is this really necessary? This is embarrassing'.
"I gotta go to court. I might be in jail for eight years. They'll go, 'What you in for?' 'Erm, noise complaints. But if y'all wanna throw a party, holler me!'"
However, Jason didn't let the raid stop him from partying and after he kicked most of his male guests out, he, The Game and 40 women enjoyed a late night swim.
Speaking about the women, Jason added: "I didn't tell them to leave. I basically went upstairs."
