Brad Pitt has splashed out on a £5 million designer watch.
The 51-year-old actor is believed to have bid for the collector's item when he attended the Only Watch auction in Geneva and came away with the rare Patek Philippe wristwatch, which sold for a record-breaking price.
The Swiss-made timepiece was originally listed with an asking price of roughly £460,000 but after an intense bidding war it went under the hammer for just under £5 million.
The auction house said in a statement: "[It's] the highest price ever paid for a wristwatch at auction."
It's not the first time the Hollywood heartthrob has forked out on expensive timepieces.
Last year, the 'World War Z' actor paid £250,000 for one of the world's most expensive watches at the time as a wedding gift for wife Angelina Jolie.
Brad - who has six children, Maddox, 14, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, nine, and seven-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with his wife - is said to have snapped up the watch, also a Patek Philippe, without being put on a two-year waiting list.
A source previously revealed: "Brad decided to buy one of the amazing watches after meeting the Stern family at a watch fair in Basel.
"He wanted to buy Ange a unique gift that very few people own which is like a piece of art - and the highly sophisticated watch is just that.
"It chimes sounds based on Big Ben and is constructed by hand.
"He went to Geneva to pick it up and it's believed he'll present it to Ange as a pre-wedding gift."

Burt Reynolds has no sympathy for Charlie Sheen over his HIV diagnosis.
The 79-year-old actor has claimed the former 'Two and a Half Men' star is paying the price for his party-loving lifestyle and he doesn't feel sorry for him in any way, saying he "deserves" to have contracted the virus.
Burt - whose career was beset by HIV rumours in the 80s - was asked if he felt sorry for Charlie, and he said: "For Charlie, no, he deserves it. He misbehaved badly. Very badly.
"But you know when you're that age, it's tough. All those things are coming at you and it's difficult."
Burt said he's a close friend of Charlie's father, American actor Martin Sheen, and he is sympathetic towards his situation.
Speaking while recording an interview on ITV's 'Loose Women', the 'Boogie Nights' actor said: "He's handled it badly I think. His father is a very, very decent man and a dear friend of mine.
"I feel bad for him, but Charlie, I don't feel bad for him. He's getting what he deserves. If you're going to misbehave like that, they're going to get you."
A member of the show's audience subsequently told The Sun newspaper: "The audience were shocked - as were [TV hosts] Ruth and Coleen - and there was an extremely awkward silence. Of course, HIV is something that no one deserves."

David Foster reportedly blames his estranged wife Yolanda for the failure of his record label.
The Grammy-winning star recently announced his intention to divorce his wife after four years of marriage, and a source close to the celebrity duo has now claimed David thinks Yolanda's involvement with the reality TV series 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' has hurt his status as chairman of Universal's Verve Music Group.
The insider explained: "David's record label is shutting down ... and he is blaming her for this failure because he thinks the 'Housewives' show has hurt him.
"He thinks the show hurt him. He has a gigantic ego."
The series has helped launch the careers of two of David's stepchildren, Victoria's Secret model Gigi and Bella Hadid, who also works in the modelling industry.
However, David, 66, is reportedly frustrated the show hasn't benefited his career in the way it has for his stepchildren.
The insider told the New York Post newspaper: "David likes to stay relevant. He's had success and was a big deal ... so I think [the show made him] feel like he doesn't hold the same place in pop culture. Maybe it's a reality check because her daughters are pop culture.
"I'm sure he's upset her kids' careers are popping off and his aren't. He's competitive in that way."

Coco Austin only gained 13 pounds throughout her whole pregnancy.
The 'Ice and Coco' star - who welcomed daughter Chanel 10 days ago - has revealed she didn't "blow up like a whale" like she thought she would whilst expecting her little girl.
She wrote on Instagram: "I gained 13 pounds my whole pregnancy and now I [weigh] almost back to norm at 137 pounds. All this is strange to me too, how my body took so well with pregnancy because I was mentally prepared to blow up like a whale and I was totally cool with it. I really couldn't have cared less how my body looked it didn't matter to me..I couldn't wait to get a bump and rock it! ..
"I would've gone through anything to make a healthy baby ..I had the heavens really watching over me and know everyday how blessed I am.. I believe anybody could too go through a wonderful experience and thats why I made a baby blog so people could know the steps I took..I hope to bring inspiration (sic)"
The 36-year-old television personality also revealed she lost ten pounds before she even started gaining baby weight and claims it is because she stopped working out, drinking alcohol and ate much more healthily.
She continued: "I pretty much became a fruitarian after that lol..No not really, I ate other foods of course but craved fruit.
"I lost 10 pounds before I even started to gain baby weight probably because 1- I stopped drinking alcohol. 2 - I stopped weight lifting and lost a lot of muscle and 3- I ate really healthy and took my vitamins everyday. (sic)"

Niall Horan wants to "eat like crazy" during One Direction's hiatus.
The chart-topping boy band - which also includes Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - are set to go on a break next year and the 22-year-old singer has revealed he's keen on being able to eat or drink whatever he pleases during their time off.
He told E! News: "We're just looking forward to heading home. I personally haven't been home in awhile and that's going to be good to see the family and eat like crazy.
"At home, we do this thing called 12 pubs of Christmas. You've got five minutes to finish a pint and you're done."
His comments are in stark contrast to his revelations earlier this week, where he admitted his New Year resolution was to train harder at the gym.
He shared: "I'm going to train, succeed in the gym
this year. I always do it when I'm on tour and then when I get home, I'm c**p. Yeah, I would like to succeed properly and get the job done."
His bandmates have similar health kicks in mind, with Liam Payne revealing he'd like to give up smoking.
He said at the time: "I'm going to try and give up smoking, which is hard, but I do want to. I want to. It's about time. Need to grow up now."

Anastacia was "scared" of her sex symbol status.
The 'Left Outside Alone' hitmaker admits she was initially hesitant of being known for her beauty and says it was a "great irony" when she got diagnosed with breast cancer.
She shared: "It's a great irony in my life that I absolutely hated my breasts and then I got breast cancer. These two little monsters - now I call them my twin set and they are just awesome. Now I'm just so very proud to be a woman.
"I'm extremely blessed - breast cancer brought more femininity my way than I knew what to do with. I had been so scared of it but now I embrace it. At the beginning of my career I was like, 'I'm a sex symbol? Oh my God, eww!'"
The 47-year-old singer also admits she was "extremely innocent" as a teenager.
She told the Big Issue magazine: "She was extremely innocent about the world, probably for too long.
"I didn't really understand how things worked out there, not until my career started and I had to make serious decisions."
Meanwhile, Anastacia previously admitted she "went crazy" for Botox when she was in her 30s.
She said: "I went crazy for Botox in my 30s. I would get it done every three months. But right after my divorce, I realised I needed to stop.
"Now I love seeing my face move. I did it all too early and it was too much. Now I love a ponytail. When the hair is pulled back, I feel like Young-a-stacia."

Zayn Malik wants Gigi Hadid's trust.
The One Direction singer is reportedly keen to show the 20-year-old model how much he cares about her and has opened up about his past relationships in a bid to win her over.
A source told Closer magazine: "They've been seeing each other for a few weeks and both seem to be besotted.
"Zayn wants to win Gigi's trust. He's talked to her about his break-up with Perrie and been open about his relationship history.
"Gigi has been surprised about how genuine Zayn seems. They are both planning to see a lot more of each other."
Meanwhile, it was previously claimed the 22-year-old singer is "heavily pursuing" the Victoria's Secret model.
A source shared: "He's been the one heavily pursuing her, rather than the other way round.
"He thinks she's stunning and it wouldn't harm his profile to be dating a top US model as he launches his solo career.
"Gigi is slightly more ambivalent. She's aware of Zayn's bad-boy reputation, and is approaching with caution. She even invited her sister Bella on their date to The Nice Guy to encourage Zayn to behave himself."

Cindy Crawford is "embracing" turning 50.
The supermodel will celebrate the milestone birthday next February and insists she is happy to age gracefully.
She told PEOPLE magazine: "Women like Helen Mirren and Jane Fonda, they look amazing and they look appropriate. They look amazing but they're not trying to look 30. I don't want to be trying to compete with my 14-year-old daughter [Kaia Gerber] - because I would lose!
"I always thought, 'When can I just let it all go?' It's just never. There is no age now! It was the aspect of embracing turning 50 and celebrating the past, but at the same time I am embracing where I am."
Meanwhile, the 49-year-old beauty previously praised her children - Kaia, 14 and Presley, 16 - for making her feel at ease with ageing.
She shared: "I do and I'm really jealous. No, I'm joking. I always tease her, 'You have my old legs. Give them back ... What do they say? Youth is wasted on the young.
"I think honestly I am probably the hardest on myself. It's beautiful as a mother to watch your children grow up and become whoever they're going to be and I think that makes it easier for me to watch myself also getting older."

Kim Kardashian West had a "really tough" pregnancy.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star reportedly suffered from placenta accreta, where the placenta remains attached to the womb, again when she gave birth to her son Saint on Saturday (05.12.15).
A source told PEOPLE magazine: "She had a really tough birth because of the issues with her placenta."
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old television personality - who already has two-year-old daughter North with husband Kanye West - previously revealed she may have to have a hysterectomy after she gave birth to her son because of the condition.
She shared: "With the issues I had last time, my risk of having preclampsia and placenta acreeta are increased and there's not a whole lot I can do to prevent it, so my anxiety is a little high leading up to my delivery.
"In a very rare case, I might need a hysterectomy after delivery if my condition is severe enough, but luckily my doctor doesn't think this will happen. So as time goes on, I am stressing out less and trying to go with the flow.
"We induced my labor and I had North soon after. Right after delivery, the placenta usually then comes out. Mine did not. My placenta stayed attached inside my uterus, which is a condition called placenta accreta ... My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails. How disgusting and painful!"
