Sam Smith vows to avoid reviews

Sam Smith only cares about what his fans think about his music.
The 'Stay With Me' singer took to his Twitter page on Tuesday night (09.12.15) to reveal he has made a vow to no longer read professional reviews of his art.
He wrote: "It's so tough to win the thumbs up from people that are paid to come to see what you do, when they could hate your music to begin with.
"Sometimes you're never going to win. The reviews I care about are from YOU. And only you - my fans. The people who have put me here. (sic)"
The 23-year-old pop star also admitted it is difficult for him to focus on positive comments when there are negatives as well.
He continued: "Why is it when you have a crowd of people saying you're great - you notice the one who says you're not? Haha the heart is complicated. I'm getting there thou (sic) lol slowly but surely. (sic)"
Sam also decided to quote lyrics from two songs by Norwegian artist Maria Mena to reflect his feelings.
From Maria's track 'Good And Bad', Sam tweeted : "I never claimed to be flawless, I owned up to my faults, Yours were subtle, painful betrayal, But I see what you did, Both good and bad."
Sam is currently touring Australia, with his next show scheduled in Brisbane on Saturday night (12.12.15). The concert will be the final date in Sam's 'In The Lonely Hour' tour.
Despite his pensive tweets, Sam reassured fans that he is having a lot of fun Down Under.
He concluded: "On another note - IM HAVING THE BEST TIME xxxx (sic)"
Sam is one of the world's most famous singers thanks to his debut studio album 'In The Lonely Hour', which he released in 2014. He recently recorded the 'Writing's On The Wall' - the theme tune for the latest James Bond movie 'Spectre'.

Halle Berry is dating again?

Halle Berry is reportedly dating again.
The 49-year-old actress only split from her husband Olivier Martinez two months ago following two years of marriage but she's refusing to let the heartache stop her from going out and meeting new people.
A source told E! News: "She hasn't gotten into another relationship since her breakup but she has been talking to a few people very lightly and going out when she has time.
"She enjoys being single and doing her own thing. She's taking care of herself and her body. Living a healthy lifestyle is key for Halle. She has many positive friends and family that surround her so it's nice to have that support."
However, despite her positive mindset and determination to enjoy herself, the brunette beauty will always put her children, Nahla, seven - from her relationship with Gabriel Aubry - and Maceo, two, whom she has with Olivier, first.
The insider explained: "She loves being a mother and watching her daughter and son grow up.
"She has a very close relationship with them and that's always been her main priority."
And, although Halle has experienced three failed marriages, the 'X-Men' star hasn't given up hope on finding love again.
The family friend explained: "She believes one day she will be back in a relationship with the right man. For Halle it's all about being on the same page with a man."

Kim Kardashian West’s son Saint won’t have middle name

Kim Kardashian West and her husband Kanye West don't want to give their newborn son Saint West a middle name.
The couple were thought to have slipped Robert, in memory of Kim's late father, into the baby's moniker but it seems they never intended for the little one to have another given name.
A family source told E! News: "The little boy actually doesn't have a middle name."
Kim and Kanye's decision to give the four-day-old tot just a forename and surname won't come as a surprise to fans as they also adopted this approach when they named their two-year-old daughter North shortly after her birth in 2013.
Meanwhile, the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star, 35, announced she and Kanye, 38, had named their newborn earlier this week when she tweeted, "SAINT WEST (sic)."
Although the unique moniker sparked outrage across social media, it's thought the genetically blessed couple, who got married in 2014, chose the name for their new bundle of joy because he is a "blessing" after a "difficult pregnancy."
The reality TV star was forced to deliver her son almost three weeks before her due date on Christmas Day (25.12.15) after she reportedly suffered from placenta accreta, where the placenta remains attached to the womb.

Kathy Burke involved in mugging

Kathy Burke fought off a "small fry" mugger who tried to steal her money in broad daylight yesterday (08.12.15).
The 'Kevin and Perry Go Large' star used her "street wisdom" to fight off the "kid" who attempted to snatch her wad of notes as she withdrew it from a cashpoint.
Taking to her Twitter account after the incident, the 51-year-old actress issued a stark warning to the culprit.
She tweeted: "To the kid that just tried to rob me at the cash point - F**k you small fry - my genius is street wisdom."
After being bombarded with concerned messages from her fans, the star claimed she was unharmed and warned her followers to be vigilant over the Christmas period.
She wrote: "I'm fine thanks guys - good warning for folks to be aware - it's nuts out there cos of poxy Crimbo xx (sic)."
Kathy, who lives in Islington, North London, refused to dish out anymore information on the heartless attack.
Meanwhile, the actress will return to the big screen next year in the highly anticipated 'Absolutely Fabulous' movie alongside Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley.
Kathy will reprise her role as Magda, Joanna's alter-ego Patsy Stone's editor, in the long-awaited comedy film.

Justin Bieber involved in police drama

Justin Bieber had police called to his hotel room in London at the weekend.
The 'What Do You Mean?' singer invited four girls back to his room at the luxury Rosewood hotel following his performance at the Capital Jingle Bell Ball on Sunday (06.12.15), but when one of them decided to leave she through a hissy fit and ended up calling the police.
A source said: "The night had gone swimmingly as far as Justin was concerned, he'd been to a couple of clubs and had ended up going back to his hotel with four girls he met. But after fooling around in his hotel room one of them had an almighty meltdown.
"She stormed down to reception in no shoes and made a right scene.
"It was just after 6am so, as you can imagine, she caused a huge disturbance.
"She was saying, 'Where's my friend? I'll call the police!'
"She'd clearly enjoyed the night a bit too much and eventually did call the cops."
However, the Met Police have confirmed that while they were called to the hotel, they did not speak to Bieber, 21.
A spokesman said: "Police were called at approximately 06.15hrs on Monday to a hotel in High Holborn following concerns for the welfare of a female who was at the venue.
"Officers attended and it was established that the female was safe and well. There were no offences committed."
Soon after the incident Justin was seen jumping into the back of a people carrier and heading for the airport.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "Justin had done nothing wrong but his team went into panic mode.
"He's had trouble on previous visits to London while staying in hotels and didn't want a ban from the Rosewood.
"His team whisked him into a car and took him straight to Luton airport, where his plane was waiting.
"He was in the air and heading home to Canada by half past eight."

Rita Ora: My boobs fall out all the time

Rita Ora has lost count of the number of times she's accidentally exposed her breasts - but she isn't worried.
The 25-year-old beauty is well known for her daring outfit choices and despite suffering the occasional wardrobe malfunction during her career, the 'I Will Never Let You Down' hitmaker has no plans to change.
She said: "It's fun. It has happened to me lots so I am not paranoid about it anymore. You end up losing track of them.
"Whatever, you have got to take some risks in fashion. That was a risk that I took and I am proud of it.
"From the start I have always been the type to wear what I want. It is all about being an individual. I feel comfortable in what I wear."
Rita has been wearing some particularly eye-catching outfits during her stint as a judge on the British version of 'The X Factor', but has insisted she's made every effort to ensure she's never over-exposed.
Recalling a risqué Versace Atelier dress she recently wore, Rita told The Sun newspaper: "I made sure everything was in place!"
Meanwhile, she also admitted the recent burglary at the West London home of fellow judge Simon Cowell had provided a wake-up call for her and her own security.
She said: "It definitely worries me. You have to be careful. You never know what is going to happen. It is scary."

Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith divorce made official

Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith's divorce will reportedly be confirmed on December 20.
The 55-year-old actor and the American actress, 58, will officially terminate their 18-year marriage later this month after filing for divorce last year, with documents seen by Entertainment Tonight showing that Banderas will pay Griffith $65,000 per month in spousal support.
What's more, all of the money the duo made on their respective movies between 2004 and 2014 - including 'Shrek 2', 'Puss in Boots' and 'Expendables 3' - will be divided evenly.
However, a previously filed post-nuptial agreement means Banderas will be allowed to retain his earnings from before 2004, which includes money-spinning movies such as 'The Mask of Zorro' and 'Spy Kids'.
Earlier this year, Banderas said he will always love the actress, despite the breakdown of their marriage.
He said: "We'll always be friends, I hope. We speak to each other every few days and I'm very happy that we're not like many couples, where people can become bitter and angry after their marriages end. I don't see any reason for that.
"It's much better to try and remember and honour all the beautiful and happy moments you've enjoyed.
"[We were married for] a very long time and I believe Melanie wants to stay in contact, as do I.
"Melanie is a woman whom I have loved, whom I still love and whom I will always love."

Harrison Ford criticises ‘self-obsessed’ youths

Harrison Ford thinks the youth of today are "self-obsessed."
The 73-year-old actor doesn't believe the generation of young people have it in them to "make a difference" to the world because they are not interested in anything other than their own selves.
He said: "Do I think our youth can make a difference in the world? No not really. Too self-obsessed. They have no desire to seek the truth."
And the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' actor thinks selfies are "ridiculous" and doesn't understand why people get so concerned about their own popularity on social media.
Asked if he has ever taken a selfie, he fumed to GQ magazine: "No. No! It's ridiculous. What is a culture that obsesses over a number of 'likes', or the number of followers one has on social media? It's a disaster.
"Self-obsession is devouring our need to find answers."
Meanwhile, Harrison - who admits he was "a hippie" when he was younger - was branded "difficult" and lost his first contract, a seven-year deal with Columbia Pictures, for being unhappy with their ideas.
He recalled: "I did a year and a half and got kicked out for being too difficult.I was very unhappy with the process they were engaged with, which was to re-create stars the way they had been done in the Fifties.
"They sent me to get my hair pompadoured like Elvis Presley, photo in hand, all that s**t for $150 a week."

Idris Elba ’embarrassed’ by sex symbol title

Idris Elba is "very embarrassed" about being regarded as a sex symbol.
The 43-year-old actor insists he isn't constantly pursued by a string of women because of his good looks, and claims he is more likely to be approached by people wanting a photo for their mothers.
Asked how he deals with being a sex symbol, he said: "I obviously get very embarrassed about it. But honestly, in my real day-to-day life, it just doesn't happen like that.
"I don't get streams of women running after me - I have quite a normal existence.
"I tell you what though, I do get a lot of, 'My mum loves you'. Always. 'Can I take a picture for my mum?' Sure."
Idris recently DJed for Madonna on the German leg of her 'Rebel Heart' tour and had an amazing time.
He told Closer magazine: "I had a great time. I'm also a DJ and she needed a great one, so what can I say?
"I got the email asking me if I'd like to do it and I was like, 'Absolutely'. I met a beautiful person who has been working forever and ever and is still going.
"I was standing by the curtain before I went on and I made the mistake of peeking out - to see 17,000 people looking back at me. I just played music, but it was such a buzz."
