Jane Fonda’s dog tears

Jane Fonda "cried every night" when her dog was going through chemotherapy.
The 77-year-old actress got the treatment for her pet pooch Spencer after he got cancer, but the Hollywood star insists she would never inflict chemo on a pet again after watching her Golden Retriever go through the "ordeal".
She said: "Spencer lived for 13 years. He died of cancer. I adored him so much that I put him through chemotherapy, something I would never do again, no matter what.
"You can't explain to a dog that it's for his own good.
"I was married to Ted Turner by then and we were on one of his ranches in New Mexico.
"The vet was an hour away so I moved in and slept with Spencer in his little cage at the hospital while he went through the chemo ordeal. I cried every night."
When she passes away, the 'Gracie and Frankie' star would like her ashes to be scattered in the same place as Spencer's.
She said: "I had Spencer cremated and we sprinkled his ashes on what was once a Native American vision quest sight where I sometimes went to meditate. Ted and I had decided we would be put there as well when we died."
After Spencer, Jane had another Golden Retriever, Roxy, who also died, before getting Tulea, a Coton de Tulear breed of dog who she still has today.
And just like with Spencer and Roxy, Jane can't bear to be away from her four-legged friend, and even finds it harder to sleep when she is not with her canine pal.
In a post on her website, she wrote: "She goes just about everywhere with me and when I am without her I ache for her. It's a physical thing. I feel a pang in my body and it's harder to sleep. She follows me like a shadow and is so smart."

Adele signs up for BRITs

Adele has been hailed as the biggest name in music after signing up to perform at the BRIT Awards 2016.
BRITs chairman Max Lousada has confirmed the 'Hello' hitmaker - who made her triumphant return to the music industry this year after a four-year hiatus - will play at the star-studded ceremony at London's O2 Arena on February 24.
He explained: "You couldn't get a bigger name in music right now. Adele is having an exceptional moment and the Brits are delighted to be a part of her history, her present and future."
The 27-year-old singer is no stranger to the BRITs, having won three of the prestigious awards in previous years.
She was also famously interrupted by host James Corden at the ceremony in 2012 while making her acceptance speech for the Best British Album for '21'.
After being rudely interrupted, which wasn't Corden's fault, she went on to make a rude hand gesture.
She later said that was directed at "the suits" rather than her fans.
Adele recently teared up during her first fully live concert in four years.
She told the crowd: "I know I've been quiet, I just wanted to come back and surprise you. I didn't want to tell you anything because I wanted it to be a surprise. I feel like this is the start now.
"We've been planning it for months and I'm just so happy and before the show I was like, 'Oh God I want it to be over,' because I was so nervous, but I've managed to remember every moment of this show."
The BRIT Awards with MasterCard 2016 takes place at London's O2 Arena on February 24.

Ryan Reynolds confirms daughter’s birthday

Ryan Reynolds has wished his daughter a happy birthday.
The 'Deadpool' star took to Twitter yesterday (16.12.15) to write a sweet message to his "baby girl" James - who he has with wife Blake Lively - and confirmed the little one's actual birth date.
He wrote: "Happy birthday to my baby girl! Sad I lost my virginity. But thankful I have a daughter. (sic)"
Meanwhile, the 39-year-old actor previously admitted fatherhood has given him a new purpose in life.
He shared: "Not unlike most people, I've found there is something of a relief to it, that you're not the centre of your own universe any more and there's something nice about how trivial all those other little things you used to lay awake at night worrying about become.
"I think there's something beautiful about that, and that's not something I was expecting."
And Ryan also insisted he wants his little girl to live a normal life despite his celebrity status.
He added: "I'm not going to hide in my apartment because I'm worried that someone may take a picture of my baby.
"I want to experience life, I want my kids to have the same experiences I did. I want them to be outdoors, to experience the world and all the wondrous moments and bulls**t I did."

Zooey Deschanel sued by former management

Zooey Deschanel is being sued by her former management.
Seven Summits Pictures & Management - which represented Zooey from 1996 to 2013 - wants a share of the profits from the sale of her entertainment website, Hello Giggles, which was reportedly sold for between $20 million and $30 million earlier this year.
In a complaint filed on Wednesday (17.12.15) in Los Angeles Superior Court, the company asserts that it is owed the money because it worked with Zooey to get the company up and running.
Seven Summits said in its complaint: "On November 16, 2015, after Seven Summits learned that Deschanel received money in connection with the sale of Hello Giggles, Seven Summits requested that Deschanel pay Seven Summits' per cent commission on her income from Hello Giggles ... but Deschanel refused to pay any such commissions."
Zooey, 35, had also been paying post-termination commissions for her TV comedy 'New Girl', which she started working on in 2011 but the company claims that she has now stopped paying and accused them of fraud over her contract.
The complaint added: "Once Seven Summits requested commissions on Deschanel's income from Hello Giggles, however, Deschanel retaliated by ceasing to pay commissions on all her projects, including 'New Girl'. As an excuse, Deschanel is claiming that the signature on the agreement is not hers, an allegation that is false, as indicated by the fact that Deschanel actually paid commissions pursuant to that agreement for many years.
"Deschanel is making the false claim that Seven Summits procured employment for Deschanel when it was not legally permitted to do so. Aside from being untrue, Deschanel's claim is not a reasonable excuse for deciding to withhold payment for services from a dutiful adviser who worked diligently for 17 years. Whereas most actors would be thrilled to have a manager put them on a successful career trajectory, Deschanel is now making a claim against Seven Summits for supposedly doing too much to make her successful and for supposedly doing too much to help her earn a giant fortune."

Brian Blessed’s dog ate Best Actor award

Brian Blessed's dog ate his Best Actor award.
The 'Flash Gordon' star won a bizarrely-shaped prize of a bone sat on top of a rock at the Tenerife Film Festival for his role as George Mallory in 1991 TV movie 'Galahad of Everest', and when he got back home his pet pooch took a big liking to it and had it for dinner.
He said: "The strangest award I received was for the Best Actor at the Tenerife Film Festival for Galahad of Everest. The award was a huge bone on a rock.
"I remember Kevin Costner laughed his head off.
"I brought it back to London and my Jack Russell ate it."
While the 79-year-old star's crafty canine made a dogs dinner out of his award, Brian insists he rarely thinks about being recognised for his work.
He said: "It's marvellous to win an award but I tend not to think about them."
One achievement the comedy actor - who played Prince Vultan in 'Flash Gordon' - hasn't won any silverware for just happens to be his proudest ever accomplishment - going to the magnetic North Pole.
He added to the Metro newspaper: "It took us six months to get there from Resolute in northern Canada.
"And I suppose climbing Everest without oxygen at the age of 66."
The star loved it so much he's going to attempt the expedition again in 2016 at the age of 79.
He said: "I'm doing that again next year. I'm going to try it without oxygen again and see how it goes. I seem to have an affinity for altitude."

Azealia Banks arrested for ‘attacking a female security guard’

Azealia Banks has been arrested outside a New York club after allegedly attacking a female security guard.
The 24-year-old star is said to have punched the woman and bitten her on the breast outside Meatpacking club Up&Down on Wednesday (16.12.15) after getting into a dispute with bouncers and being thrown out at around 12.30am.
A witness told the New York Post newspaper: "It was an invite-only party.
"You needed a stamp to get in."
The incident is alleged to have taken place after Banks tried to enter the private downstairs party and was instead told she needed to go back upstairs to get a stamp.
When the male and female security guards said they didn't recognise the '212' hitmaker, she is said to have started "screaming at the top of her lungs, cursing".
The source added: "Once she was 15 feet inside she starts to curse at the guards again, explaining who she was, that she's on Rihanna's album."
Thereafter, the New York-born star is alleged to have spat in the female bouncer's face and bitten her so hard on her breast that it "caused swelling and redness", according to a police source, who also said the bitten bouncer declined medical attention at the scene.
Meanwhile, the outspoken rap star returned to the front of the club with police, where she is alleged to have punched the female bouncer before being taken away by law enforcement officers.

Niall Horan jokes about marrying Selena Gomez

Niall Horan has joked about marrying Selena Gomez during a Carpool Karaoke segment on 'The Late Late Show'.
The 22-year-old singer has been romantically linked to the former Disney star in recent weeks and has heightened speculation surrounding the status of their relationship during a game of "sleep with, marry, cruise" on the show presented by James Corden.
Asked to choose between Demi Lovato, Selena and Tina Fey, Niall replied: "Sleep with Tina Fey. Let's marry Gomez and go on a cruise with Demi Lovato. Great voice, we could be singing songs."
During the segment, Niall's One Direction band-mate Louis Tomlinson also spoke about the creepy nature of fame.
He shared: "It does get a bit scary when people are close to your house.
"A couple of weeks ago I tweeted 'there's nothing worse than waking up and realising you have no milk for your tea'. Within an hour someone's ringing my bell and this 45-year-old woman comes to my door and goes 'here's the milk'."
Meanwhile, the chart-topping boyband are set to enjoy a break in 2016, and Liam Payne admitted not doing anything is a "scary" prospect.
He said: "It's quite like a scary thing because we haven't stopped for five years.
"But I think more than anything we're going to miss being on stage. We haven't seen our families and my mum and dad are coming to live with me for a bit."

Kendrick Lamar’s role model pressure

Kendrick Lamar feels pressure to be a role model.
The 28-year-old recording artist knows he has been "chosen" as someone for young people to look up to but admits he is fearful of the "power" and responsibility that comes along with it.
He shared: "I know I'm chosen. I know I'm a favorite. I know in my heart there's a whole other energy and leadership side of me that I have probably run from my whole life. How much power do I want? How much can I handle? That's the question I keep asking myself.
"'Cause when you are a voice for the youth, nothing can stop you. The youth is what changes things. Can I lead that? Should I? I get confused because people are championing me to be that vocal point and it's a challenge for me to be that because I have some fear of that type of power."
The 'Swimming Pools' hitmaker also admits he is naturally a "recluse" but says he is beginning to learn how to handle his new-found power.
He added to XXL magazine: "This goes back to me being who I naturally am or who think that I am now, that 28-year-old kid that's kind've a recluse. But 28 is old enough for me to figure out who I am and have that power at the same time, that's the battle and it's a trip."
