Shelby Tribble doesn’t think Pete Wicks and Megan McKenna were "right" for each other.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star started dating the heavily-inked hunk a few months ago but she’s not worried about his ex-girlfriend coming back on the scene now that she’s split from Mike Thalassitis because she doesn’t think they were "healthy" for one another.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Shelby said: "I think that’s done. What’s meant to be will be but I think that’s done because it wasn’t very good. They weren’t healthy for each other and I’m sure at the time they loved each other but they weren’t right for each other."
The 26-year-old beauty is smitten with Pete, 29, and is convinced they’re the real deal because they "think the same and do the same things."
She explained: "He’s amazing, I love so much about him. He has me in tears of laughter he’s so funny. He’s so intelligent and I love that in a man.
"He’s so caring and protective and he’s got so many qualities that I love in a man. We’re very similar, we think the same, we do things the same, and it’s really weird."
The pair are yet to make things official, but the brunette babe doesn’t want to rush anything because they’re just enjoying each other’s company and getting to know one another.
Shelby said: "We’re really happy with each other and love each other’s company and I think he’s amazing but we’re enjoying our pace and we don’t want to rush anything. Other people might like to rush into things but at the end of the day we’re still getting to know each other."
It’s been reported that Pete is planning to take a break from ‘TOWIE’ for a little while, but Shelby is adamant she’s not going anywhere because she’s new to the programme.
She explained: "I’m obviously new to the show so I’m going to stay on whether he leaves or not. I’m definitely staying. It’s very new for me and I did find it quite difficult at the start, fitting in and getting used to everything but I absolutely love it now and we all get on really well."
Pete started dating Megan in 2017 but they went their separate ways at the end of the last year following a series of blazing rows over cheating allegations.
The 25-year-old beauty went on to date Mike – also known as ‘Muggy Mike’ – but their relationship came crashing down just two months later.
