Sharon Marshall gives birth

Sharon Marshall has given birth.
‘This Morning’ presenters Holly Willoughby and Phil Schofield have announced the show’s ‘Soap Queen’ and her partner Paul Fletcher have welcomed their first child into the world together, daughter Betsy Fletcher, and the little one is "absolutely perfect".
Speaking on today’s (10.07.18) show, Phillip said: "Betsy Fletcher came into the world at 1pm."
Holly said: "She is absolutely perfect in every way."
Phil added: "Huge congratulations – she is beautiful!"
Sharon – who also works as a scriptwriter on ‘Emmerdale’ – was presented with balloons and a baby hamper when she went on maternity leave from ‘This Morning’ just last week, and thanked fans for their good wishes.
She wrote on Twitter: "Thank you once again This Morning viewers for the lovely messages, letters, toys and most of all – beautiful knitting. We have been so honoured and touched that you’d take the time to wish our growing family well. See you at the other side. (sic)"
Sharon announced her baby news in January live on ‘This Morning’, much to the presenters’ surprise.
She said: "I’m pregnant. I am probably going to say everything wrong. I am a little bit emotional."
Phil replied: "Who knew? Because we didn’t know!"
But the soap expert – who presents the Soap Queen segment on the brunch-time show – admitted she had told the programme’s resident medical expert, Dr. Chris Steele, about her little secret.
She said: "Well I told Dr Chris very early so he’s been keeping the secret. Myself and my partner Paul Fletcher, we’re 14 weeks along, and we let Dr Chris into the secret a long time ago because he’s the king of the corridor consultation."
