Sarah Jayne Dunn wants baby son to appear in Hollyoaks

Sarah Jayne Dunn wants her baby son to appear in ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 35-year-old actress has reprised her role as Mandy Richardson on the soap after a seven-year break, and her 11-month-old son Stanley – who she has with fiance Jonathan Smith – has been coming on set with her, so the blonde beauty plans to try and sneak him on screen at some point.
She said: "’Hollyoaks’ coming along again has been perfect in terms of where Stanley was ad where I am. It’s been like going back to work from maternity leave. Stanley has already been outside the Dog in the Pond [pub]. I might try and get him a cameo."
Despite her long absence from the show, Sarah insists it barely feels like she’s been away.
Speaking to Closer magazine, she said: "It’s like coming home. It’s lovely and I’m having a really nice time. It didn’t take long to fit back in and there’s still people here that I’ve known since I was 14."
Sarah is returning alongside Gary Lucy, who plays Luke Morgan, and the pair are amazed it’s been so long since he last set foot in the village.
She said: "It’s lovely [to have him back] and Gary was saying the last time he was in ‘Hollyoaks’ was about 15 years ago. It doesn’t feel like two minutes.
"Back then we were just having a great time filming storylines as Mandy and Luke and then you look back on it and realise we were quite a big part of the show. Now? All I can say is Mandy is in a little bit of trouble and needs people around her."
