Samantha Giles’ dog dream inspires book

Samantha Giles is writing a book about a Great Dane dog – after having a dream about the mysterious mutt.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who plays Bernice Blackstock in the ITV soap – took to Twitter to reveal she had a "very vivid dream" last night (20.08.18) about a "beautiful" pooch she took in, and she is now planning to write about her imaginary four-legged friend in her next tome.
She tweeted: "Last night had a very vivid dream about a Great Dane dog that we were given as a rescue dog. He was beautiful. What does this mean???! We were initially v reluctant to take him but I fell in love with his personality and chose him over a cute puppy. (sic)"
In response to a fan who wrote to tell her their Great Dane was the "best dog ever", Samantha replied: "Tell me what the breed are like as he’s going to be in my next book I’m writing.. x (sic)"
But Samantha – who wrote the book ‘Witchcraft and Misogyny’ in 1997 – has ruled out getting a dog, because of her working hours on the soap.
In response to a supporter who advised her to adopt a canine if she wants to get one, she replied: "Would love to but we have two cats plus our working hours would not be good for a doggy…..,,x (sic)"
One fan messaged the actress to suggest the Great Dane’s appearance in her dream may be reminding her "not to let people walk all over you" and that she "does not have to say yes or do everything someone else asks or expects" from her.
She wrote back: "Very apt thanks x (sic)"
One inventive fan suggested her dog dream could mean she is going to join the cast of rival soap ‘Coronation Street’, or "win a British Soap Award for best dramatic performance in a sex change storyline".
Samantha quipped: "That’s exactly what I thought! Uncanny…..!! (sic)"
