Rylan Clark-Neal reveals celebrity cameos for Supermarket Sweep

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, and ‘Love Island’s Maura Higgins and Tommy Fury are set to appear on ‘Supermarket Sweep’.
Rylan Clark-Neal is to host the revamped version of the beloved gameshow, which will feature a host of celebrity cameos when it returns to screens on September 9th at 8pm on ITV2.
Along with Eamonn, Ruth, Maura and Tommy, the show will feature ‘The Only Way is Essex’s Pete Wicks and Bobby Norris, Celebs Go Dating’s Tom Read Wilson and Made in Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo.
Speaking about the celebrity cameos, Rylan said: "I like to get some of my celeb pals doing some dirty work, so I might need some help on the pick ‘n mix every now and again. I have celebs coming through my doors quite a lot with the supermarket, they trust me, so they tend to do their shopping here but what they don’t realise is when they shop in my supermarket my CCTV recognises their faces so it tracks everything they do. So that might play a bit of a part in one of the games! You should see some of the celebrity shopping habits, I mean Eamonn and Ruth are filthy!"
There is also a ‘Love Island’ special, which will feature couples Anton Danyluk and Belle Hassan, Ovie Soko and India Reynolds and Chris Taylor and Harley Brash.
Rylan said: "We had three couples from this year’s series; Anton and Belle, Ovie and India, Chris and Harley. It was utter chaos! It was just absolutely crazy! Seeing them go wild in the aisles was just hilarious! The funny thing was Ovie and India were so strange because they were literally hanging off each other the entire time, like every second they were hugging! There are parts of the show when they had to split up and I think India was worried I wasn’t going to give him back!
"They were great though, seeing the faces of utter confusion at the beginning give way to raging competitiveness, was just brilliant! The lads in particular took it like it was the most serious thing in the world, they were so competitive! The game gets into you, it’s hilarious! Ovie got so into it he crashed into a cameraman! Of course I fined him £10, because that’s the name of the game! No one messes up my supermarket, there’s always a penalty!"
‘Coronation Street’ star Jennie McAlpine will be taking over the tannoy and she said: "I am so giddy to be a part of the new Supermarket Sweep team! The original show was an absolute favourite in our house, and with Rylan at the helm I know this is going to be such fun!"
‘Supermarket Sweep’ will return to TV screens on 9th September 2019 at 8pm on ITV2.
