Russell Tovey planning baby with surrogate

Russell Tovey is planning to have a baby on his own via a surrogate.
The openly gay 36-year-old actor is desperate to become a parent and although he is still searching for his Mr. Right if he is still single in three years’ time then he will find a woman to carry his baby and become a single dad.
In an interview in the new issue of Gay Times magazine, he said: "I want someone to call me daddy. Having kids is always something that’s been fundamentally important to me. I remember being at school, junior school, and already wanting to be a dad. I wanted to be an actor, a history teacher and a dad. Now I’m 36, I’m giving myself three years. If I haven’t met someone that wants kids I’m going to do it by myself."
When asked if he will use a surrogate, he added: "All the options haven’t been completely explored but whatever way I’m going to do it, I’m going to do it."
Although he does party on London’s gay scene, Russell isn’t interested in having lots of casual relationships and prefers being in a committed relationship.
The ‘Quantico’ star believes that the conversation around gay relationships had now shifted to questions that heterosexual people are asked because of the changes to the marriage laws in the UK.
He said: "I’m a one man guy. I just want to be with that person, whoever that person is. When you go out with someone as a gay man now, you’re getting asked, ‘When are you getting married? When are you having kids?’ And that’s something that’s happened since the laws have changed and suddenly you’re like, ‘I can do this. That’s now a consideration.’"
