Rudimental eager to work with Ed Sheeran again

Rudimental’s Piers Agget is dying to get into the studio with Ed Sheeran when he makes his comeback.
The 29-year-old star – who is one third of the drum and bass duo, also comprised of DJ Locksmith and Kesi Dryden – is eager to make new music with the ‘Sing’ hitmaker after it was revealed he’s working on his hotly-anticipated third studio album.
He told the Metro newspaper: "He’s not been in touch with anyone, probably only his close family, but when he resurfaces I’ll definitely give him a text. ‘Come for a drink, let’s make some music.’"
Piers – who worked with the flame-haired pop star on 2015’s ‘Lay It All On Me’ and 2014’s ‘Bloodstream’ – thinks releasing a song with the superstar singer/songwriter would improve their chances of breaking drum and bass in the US as he admits it’s a hard genre to sell across the pond.
He said: "We’ve been out there so many times and we’ve got fans, but there’s 300 million people to crack.
"You have to have radio hits and we haven’t had that number one yet. It’s hard to get drum and bass out there. We’re happy where we are, but if we can crack America – great."
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Ed has been secretly working on his follow-up to 2014’s ‘x’ on the Queen Mary 2 ocean liner.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Ed turned up at the dock in New York and asked for a cheap cabin, nothing fussy.
"While aboard he requested a meeting room so they found him a basic, windowless crew room in the bowels of the ship. He spent the entire week locked away, writing."
d has been on hiatus since he wrapped up his ‘x Tour’ last December and he also stepped away from social media.
But the star will make a musical comeback next Friday (22.07.16) when he features on a track called ‘Cold Water’ with Diplo, Major Lazer, Justin Bieber, Benny Blanco and MØ.
