Prince Harry ‘loves’ comic books

Prince Harry "loves" reading comic books.
The 30-year-old royal has admitted that he loves reading graphic novels over traditional books.
His Royal Highness revealed his preference for cartoons to the illustrator Will Kevans, who presented Prince Harry with a comic strip called 'My Life In Pieces: The Falklands War', about the 1982 Falklands war.
The pair met when Prince Harry appeared at the Army Arts Society event at Westminster Abbey, London on Friday (07.11.14).
Recalling their conversation,Will shared: "[Prince Harry said:] 'I don't read many books but I love comics. I might actually read that.'"
Will - a former Welsh Guardsman who fought in the Falklands war - added: "I was just impressed that he took the time to come over and talk about it all.
"Basically, I told him about my experiences in the Falklands.
"I was unhurt but I think most of us had psychological issues when we came back.
"The whole idea of the Army Arts Society is that soldiers are given painting kits so that when they are away they can practise their art. All I had was Cunard notepaper."

Prince Harry leaves emotional tribute to fallen soldiers

Britain's Prince Harry left an emotional handwritten message to fallen soldiers on Remembrance Sunday.
The 30-year-old royal joined British troops in Kandahar, Afghanistan as part of Remembrance Sunday (09.11.14) where he laid down a wreath of poppies, complete with a heartfelt note.
His message read: "There is no greater love then to lay down one's life for one's friends. They will never be forgotten. Harry."
The quote comes from a Bible passage from John 15:13.
The full quote reads: "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.
"You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."
Prince Harry served in Afghanistan as Forward Air Controller in 2007 to 2008 and as an Apache helicopter co-pilot and gunner from 2012 to 2013.
During his trip to Kandahar he spent time with members of his old unit from his 2012 deployment. Prince Harry returned to the UK later that evening.
His visit comes after it was announced that the 300 troops remaining in Afghanistan will return home by the end of the year.

Choir boy collapses near Queen Elizabeth during Remembrance ceremony

A young choir boy collapsed a few metres away from Britain's Queen Elizabeth during the Remembrance Sunday ceremony.
An unnamed boy was taken to the hospital as he fainted at the Cenotaph in London on Sunday (09.11.14) as the British national anthem played.
The young man was due to sing in the Remembrance Sunday ceremony - which honours British and Commonwealth soldiers who have died during conflict and marks the 100th anniversary since the start of the First World War - as part of The Choir of Her Majesty's Chapel Royal.
However, he collapsed shortly after the 88-year-old queen laid her wreath of poppies on the top step on the Cenotaph in London and had to be taken to St Thomas' Hospital to be checked over.
According to the Daily Mail newspaper, a spokesman for Buckingham Palace said the boy was "okay".
They said: "I understand he's okay and will be discharged very soon."
In June the 12-year-old Charles Hope, Viscount Aithrie fainted as Queen Elizabeth delivered a speech to Parliament at the House of Lords.
Charles - who will inherit the title of Earl of Hopetoun and Marquess of Linlithgow - collapsed eight minutes into the monarch's speech and was quickly carried out of the chamber.

Prince Charles pokes fun at disastrous interview

Britain's Prince Charles has joked he wishes a disastrous interview he did 40 years ago were tomorrow so that he could cancel it.
The 65-year-old royal has poked fun in a sketch mocking the excruciating appearance he made on Australian television with interviewer Molly Meldrum in 1977.
Speaking in the affectionate video, the Prince of Wales says: "There is an old show business saying, 'Never work with animals or children'. But no one prepared me for Molly Meldrum."
The heir to the throne adds: "Was it really 40 years ago? It only seems like yesterday. I wish it were tomorrow - I'd cancel it."
Molly Meldrum is an Australian musician and celebrity who presented music show 'Countdown' - which is currently celebrating anniversary - and Prince Charles agreed to film a segment as part of a documentary about the programme.
Archive footage shows Molly stutter over his words as he struggles to compose himself in front of the then-young Prince, who questions whether the presenter has a teleprompter to help him.
Molly simple replied saying, 'No', before muttering rude words as he repeatedly gets his lines wrong.

Duchess of York supports ex-husband at official engagement

Britain's Duchess of York supported her ex-husband Prince Andrew at an official engagement this week.
Sarah Ferguson - who split from the father of her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, in 1996 - accompanied him to St. James' Palace for the Pitch@Palace event to promote British entrepreneurship, signalling her return to the royal fold.
The couple remained on good terms ever since their split, raising their daughters together while living in the same house, but it was not until recently that Prince Andrew's royal family showed they too accepted their split.
Last month the Queen gave Sarah - who is also commonly known as Fergie - permission to hold a gala for her charity Children in Crisis at the state apartments at Windsor Castle.
However, it has been revealed that she was not in fact invited to her ex-husband's event but showed her face as an act of support.
A source told the Evening Standard newspaper: "She was not on the official guest list but the Duke was very happy for her to come along.
"The Duchess didn't stay for the photographs but was happy to support the Duke along with their daughters."
