Ed Sheeran was impressed by how "friendly" Britain's Prince William and Duchess Catherine were when he met them.
The 'Drunk' hitmaker was one of several stars to chat with the couple at the Royal Variety Performance last week and he doesn't think he would be able to come across as so genuine and interested in people he didn't know.
He said: "William and Kate were really, really friendly. I'd find it hard to walk around a circle and pretend I really like everyone but they do it really, really well.
"But yeah, they're really, really friendly."
Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton before her marriage - also took the time to speak to McBusted and was astonished to discover they still get nervous on stage.
Singer Tom Fletcher told her: "I had a dry mouth because I was so nervous."
Catherine - who is pregnant with her second child - replied: "Really? Do you all still get nervous?"
Tom responded: "Yes because it's a different crowd to what we usually play."
Meanwhile, veteran singer Bette Midler found herself a new fan in the prince.
After he told the 'Wind Beneath My Wings' star she was "amazing", she said she would be back in the UK next year.
According to Britain's HELLO! magazine, he replied: "Brilliant, I'll look out for your show."

Britain's Prince George won't join his parents in the US because of their "busy schedule".
The 16-month-old prince will remain in the UK next month when Prince William and Duchess Catherine - who are expecting their second child together - make a brief visit to Washington D.C. and New York because their schedule is unsuitable for the youngster, unlike the three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia they undertook in April.
A source told The Royalist: "The length of visit and programme [which comprises] two days and a busy schedule just doesn't lend itself to taking Prince George.
"It's a different kind of visit from a three week tour to New Zealand and Australia."
William and Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton before her marriage - will be in the US from December 7 to December 9.
The couple will jet into New York, with their first stop a visit to the World Trade Centre site and 9/11 memorial.
They will also attend a basketball game to launch a new collaboration between the Royal Foundation, the United for Wildlife non-profit organization and the NBA.
Catherine will then remain in New York while her husband makes a trip to Washington to attend an anti-corruption conference at the World Bank and give a speech about illegal wildlife trade.
The US visit marks the duchess' first overseas engagement since announcing her pregnancy.
A planned trip to Malta in September was cancelled because she was suffering from acute morning sickness.

Britain's Prince Charles was "thrilled" to return to a school he opened 20 years ago.
The 66-year-old royal paid a visit to The Prince Of Wales School in Dorchester, Dorset, South West England, as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, where he planted a commemorative tree and spoke to pupils in a special assembly.
Speaking at the assembly he said: "I am thrilled to have this chance of returning 20 years after I opened this school.
"I am so pleased to see the school has gone from strength to strength."
Head teacher Peter Farrington believes the prince - who opened the establishment in March 1995 - was "very impressed" with the school and went away with a very positive impression.
The head said: "I think he was very impressed.
"I think last time he visited he was particularly interested in the architecture of the school and I think this time he's gone away with a very clear impression of a happy and creative school that we have become."
During the visit, Charles spoke with pupils and their parents and was gifted with two teddy bears in school T-shirts, which had been given to every pupil as part of the anniversary celebrations.
He was also shown an exhibition of World War II projects by Year 4 pupils, heard piano and violin playing by some of the youngsters and was also treated to a gymnastics routine by one student.

Britain's Prince Harry is taking part in next summer's Chelsea Flower Show.
The 30-year-old prince will present an African-themed garden on behalf of his charity Sentebale - which helps orphans and vulnerable children in Lesotho - with the help of garden designer Matt Keightley, who revealed Harry's father Prince Charles also played a key advisory role in the design.
His spokesman Ben Rawson said: "Prince Charles has the Prince's Foundation for Building Community, which has worked with Sentebale in Lesotho.
"As patrons of the two charities, both Prince Charles and Prince Harry, have had input into the design of the garden. Prince Charles has a tremendous interest in gardening from the work he has done at Highgrove."
The 2013 Sentebale garden, which was created by Jinny Blom, was awarded a silver glit medal but Matt is aiming for gold.
His spokesperson added: "I think [Harry] probably cares more about raising awareness about Lesotho than he does winning a gold medal for the garden.
"But that would be nice for the designer and contractors as recognition of their efforts."
The centrepiece of the garden - which is being sponsored by a foundation set up by entrepreneur David Brownlow - will be a building inspired by Sentebale's new facility for kids with AIDS and HIV that will open in Lesotho next year, and there will also be a rocky waterfall reminiscent of the rugged terrain of the country.
The spokesperson told the Daily Mail newspaper: "Matt's garden will be Lesotho-themed.
"He cannot use native plants because they would not survive here at that time of year and so he has to use European flowers for the same look.
"This is about trying to give people a window into Lesotho and inspire them to dig into their pockets to help Prince Harry to finish the work he has started out there."
Charles, 66, is a frequent visitor to the show, while Harry attended for the first time in 2013 and gave his father and grandmother Queen Elizabeth a tour of his garden.

A Land Rover formerly owned by Britain's Queen Elizabeth has sold for almost £12,000.
The 24-year-old vehicle - which was nicknamed the Chuck Wagon by the monarch - has been bought at auction from its current owner, Ken Mitchell, who lives on the Isle of Lewis by a Californian car dealer.
Ken said: "It goes very nicely. But it was very expensive on diesel. I wanted something cheaper to run."
The vehicle was used by the queen and her family on shoots and picnic on the Balmoral estate. It was specially built for the royals with a higher-than-normal roof in order to carry deer killed during hunts.
Ken believes the new owner, of Big Bear Lake, will restore the green vehicle to its original beige colour and sell it for up to £40,000.
The Land Rover is one of two that was commissioned by the royal estate.
Since it was sold by the royals, it has had a bed, sink and cooker installed in the back.
It also has a detractable rear step and a unique 'traffic light system' which was fitted in 1979 and allowed the queen to signal for the driver to stop, slow, or start at the touch of a button.

Britain's Sarah Ferguson has written a new book based on her childhood.
The Duchess of York's new children's tome, 'Fergie's Farm' was inspired by her upbringing at Dummer Down Farm in Hampshire, South England, and features a cast of friendly farmyard characters.
The 55-year-old duchess - who was previously married to Prince Andrew - began work on the story three years ago but shelved the incomplete manuscript until now and as well as publishing the book, she also has spin-off deals in the pipeline.
Her spokesperson told the Daily Mail newspaper: "It's now at a very advanced stage and the book is written. She has set up a company to deal with all of the formats needed for children's books today, including e-books, apps and games."
The duchess - who has daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie with Andrew - has yet to find a publisher but it is believed she will make a deal with Simon and Schuster, who have published six of her other books.
Sarah enjoyed success as a children's author over 25 years ago with her 'Budgie the Little Helicopter' series, which was later turned into a popular animated television show.

Britain's Duchess Catherine has been left saddened by the death of a young boy with leukemia.
The 32-year-old duchess - who is expecting her second child with husband Prince William - was touched by the plight of 12-year-old Fabian Bate when they met at the Royal Marsden hospital in Surrey, South East England in September 2011 and she and her spouse were upset to learn the youngster passed away this week after losing his eight-year battle with the disease.
Her spokesperson said: "The Duke and Duchess are sad to hear the news and their thoughts are with Fabian's family."
After their meeting, Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton before her marriage - wrote a letter to Fabian and his dad Darrell has revealed he cherished the note so much, it has been placed in his coffin.
Darrell told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I want Kate to know it wasn't just a letter, it was a message that meant so much. It has stayed with him and it's staying with him now he's departed.
"It is the only one in the world, it has that uniqueness - it is very personal and special.
"It was synonymous with what Fabian went through, he would not have got it otherwise.
"It would be amazing to think that Kate and William knew that the letter she wrote three years ago is now sitting next to his body at rest."
In her letter, Catherine - who has 16-month-old son Prince George with William - praised Fabian's "strength" and reassured him he was in good hands.
She wrote: "Despite your enormous, demanding course of treatment, I was so touched by your strength of character and delighted to hear the news that one of your big sisters will be able to donate bone marrow to you later this year.
"This must be a troubling time for you, your parents and sisters, but I left the Royal Marsden assured by how incredibly talented, kind and clever the team are."

Casting has begun for a biopic based on the life of Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik.
Danish actor and director Christian Tafdrup has revealed that he is in the process of casting actors for his new film, 'Frederik's Young Years'.
The movie will document 12 years of the now 46-year-old royal's life starting from 1990 and finishing two years before his marriage to Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark in 2004.
Christian said: "It's a fictional film about the royal family built on facts, inspired by the international wave of biopics about living people.
"It can be a dangerous area, but that is also part of the motivation."
Explaining his decision to base his biopic on the Crown Prince, Christian told the Danish film magazine Ekko: "Royals are good characters in films.
"They have a god-like status and at the same time they must face the same challenges as everyone else."
However, he told New Idea magazine that is fully aware that the subject of his movie might have some objections.
He said: "I accept that the royal family may not be happy at the prospect of my film. But it is not my intention to upset them."

A five-year-old girl thought that Britain's Prince Harry was a real "Prince Charming".
The 30-year-old royal was confused with a fairytale prince by Ava Price, after she met His Royal Highness at the 26 Squadron RAF Regiment Standard Parade in Suffolk yesterday (13.11.14).
Speaking at the parade at RAF Honington, Sergeant Tom Price revealed that his daughter was particularly interested in meeting the guest of honour, Prince Harry.
He said: "She is of that age where she is into princesses and princes.
"We told her, 'You are going to meet a real life prince', and she was very excited.
Sgt Price then asked his little girl if the royal was a "Prince Charming", but Ava was too shy to respond.
Despite her silence, Sgt Price told East Anglican Daily Times newspaper that Prince Harry had checked that she was warm enough.
He told the newspaper: "[Prince Harry] asked if she had a warm hat and a scarf to keep her from the cold. He was very charming."
Corporal Tobias Jamieson of 26 Squadron, also revealed that the prince was more interested in hearing about his love life.
He said: "It was an honour and a privilege to have Prince Harry here. He was asking me and my wife how we met.
"It was because I am Welsh and my wife if Polish and he just wondered how we might have got together."
