Britain's Duchess of Cornwall will be handed an honorary degree.
The 68-year-old royal has been honoured by the University of Southampton for her work with patients who suffer from osteoporosis.
A statement said: "HRH The Duchess of Cornwall has shown inspiring leadership in supporting patients, researchers, policy-makers and health professionals engaged in the management of osteoporosis.
"As President of the National Osteoporosis Society, and a previous speaker for the International Osteoporosis Foundation, she has been a champion for all who work with, or suffer from, this debilitating disorder which leads to many thousands of fractures each year.
"The excellence of the clinical service and research programme led by Professor Cyrus Cooper at the University of Southampton would not have been possible without the encouragement and support that she has given."
Duchess Camilla tragically lost her mother and grandmother to the medical condition, which causes sufferers to have brittle bones.
The Duchess has worked to raise awareness of the condition for a long time, having published a book, 'A Skeleton Guide to a Health You, Vitamins and Minerals', offering advice for women suffering from the disease as well as organising the Big Bone walk campaign, which raised over £200,000 for the National Osteoporosis Society.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth's accession to the throne was celebrated with a gun salute over the weekend.
The ceremony marked the beginning of the 64th year since the 89-year-old royal took over from her late father, George VI, as the monarch.
The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery was on hand at Green Park in London to mark the occasion, whilst a 62-gun salute was held at the nearby Tower of London by the Honourable Artillery Company.
Music was later provided by the Band of the Royal Artillery as soldiers belonging to The King's Troop appeared in Hyde Park.
Meanwhile, the Queen has a busy year ahead with celebrations for her 90th birthday taking place in June.
To celebrate the official occasion, the Queen will host a street party in The Mall near Buckingham Palace, London.
Of the event, organiser Peter Phillips, who is also the Queen's grandson, said: "I was very conscious to make sure we did this properly, so we went through the normal channels of approaching the Palace.
"We had to show that this wasn't a case of trying to cut corners because the Queen happens to be my grandmother. I said [to the Queen], 'Oh, by the way you may or may not have heard that we are having conversations with your office about this' ... She said, 'I've heard you're up to something.'"

Britain's Prince Charles held a gala dinner at Buckingham Palace yesterday (08.02.16).
The 67-year-old royal was on hand to celebrate the successes of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama as he watched a number of performances at the royal residence.
One of the star performers was nine-year-old pianist Charlotte Kwok, who spoke of her excitement at performing in front of the heir to the throne.
She said: "I was probably the most excited I have ever been. He asked me how old I was and how long I had been playing. He said it was very good."
Whilst her father added: "We are so pleased for her. She enjoyed it and it is her night. As it is Chinese New Year it is very special for Charlotte to play on this very special night."
Dame Shirley Bassey, Michael Sheen and Ruth Jones were all invited to the showcase.
Michael Sheen also spoke of the "challenge" facing young actors and actresses wanting to break into the industry.
He said: "We want to make sure that people no matter where they are from, no matter what their background, if they have talent, if they have drive, if they have passion, that they can come to the college and go off and work in the wider world.
"The challenge are actors coming from areas where they don't have the money or the financial support. We don't want actors just to be all coming from one particular set of circumstances."

Britain's Princess Charlotte has inspired a lipstick.
The nine-month-old royal may not even be a year old yet but she has already become the "English rose" inspiration for one of Marc Jacobs' new lip crèmes.
Catherine Gore, global vice president and general manager of Marc Jacobs Beauty, told Women's Wear Daily: "We wanted to commemorate this major brand milestone by creating a custom shade of Le Marc lip crème. [It was] inspired by the deepest saturated pink tones of an English rose."
The lipstick will be sold exclusively in Harrods in the United Kingdom and retails for £24.
Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte - who is the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - recently topped Tatler magazine's list of 'people who really matter'.
Describing why she placed first, the magazine wrote: "Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana made a spectacular entrance into the public eye with an appearance on the steps of St Mary's Hospital just hours after her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, went into labour.
"The gorgeous little bundle of joy has already won us over even though we know very little about her yet, other than the important fact that she is fourth in line to the throne."

Britain's Queen Elizabeth has returned to London after her Christmas holiday.
The 89-year-old royal was seen boarding a train at King's Lynn station, near her country retreat of Sandringham, yesterday morning (08.02.16) bound for London's King's Cross.
The Queen spent longer than usual at her Norfolk residence this year, which is no surprise as it is certain to be a busy 12 months for the monarch as she celebrates her ninetieth birthday.
To honour her milestone birthday this year, 25,000 lucky members of the public will join the four-day celebrations at Windsor Castle whilst the Queen's official birthday will be marked by the traditional street party in the Mall and a Thanksgiving service at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Simon Brooks-Ward, who is producing and directing the Queen's birthday celebrations, said: "We've been working hard to make this a most unique birthday celebration.
"We're especially delighted with our plans to offer an extra 5,000 people the chance to be part of the celebrations through our balloted system for tickets on The Long Walk. This will take place in the New Year."
However, on the whole, the Queen is planning to do things "gently" this year.
A source said previously: "She will not be doing less, just doing it more gently. There is a lot happening between now and July, so it is about trying to find new ways for her to work less strenuously."

Prince George wants to become an air force cadet.
The two-year-old royal hopes to follow in the footsteps of his father Prince William, who is an air ambulance pilot, and uncle Prince Harry, who was an Apache pilot with the Army Air Corps, after becoming obsessed with fighter planes.
His mother, Duchess Catherine, told cadet Lucinda Conder about George's ambition as she attended a special service to mark the 75th anniversary of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets on Sunday (07.02.16).
Ms Conder told reporters: "He is now obsessed with the air cadets and wants to join."
The cadet also revealed how thrilled she is that Catherine - known as Kate Middleton before her marriage - is involved with the RAF as a patron.
She said: "It's brilliant to have Kate involved. It's just really nice to have a female patron for us girls. Kate is passing the responsibility down the royal family. And it's also nice to have a new, refreshing, younger patron. I think she's going to bring alive the air cadets again."

Duchess Catherine has launched Children's Mental Health Week with a new video.
The royal has shown her support for the initiative in the clip, which shows her speaking to pupils from Salusbury Primary School in London, about the importance of being able to express their feelings.
In the clip she explained that she and her husband Prince William believe that "every child deserves to be supported through difficult times in their lives".
And Catherine - who has children Prince George, two and nine-month-old Princess Charlotte, added: "Every child deserves to grow up feeling confident that they won't fall at the first hurdle, that they cope with life's setbacks.
"This resilience - our ability to deal with stressful situations - is something we begin to learn in childhood, as we respond to each challenge and problem life presents.
"Many of us are incredibly fortunate that the issues we face in childhood are ones we can cope with and learn from. But for some children, learning to cope with life's challenges can be a struggle.
"While we cannot always change a child's circumstances, we can give them the tools to cope, and to thrive. With early support they can learn to manage their emotions and feelings and know when to seek help."
Catherine also spoke about the work of the charity Place2Be, of which she is patron.

Duchess Camilla is impressed by Sarah Ferguson's charity work.
Camilla and her husband Prince Charles became royal presidents of the Elephant Family in 2014, a charity Sarah has been a patron of since 2008, and although she was absent from a reception hosted by the pair in 2015, Camilla has reportedly noted Sarah's contributions to the foundation with approval.
Camilla's late brother Mark Shand co-founded the Elephant Family in 2002 and Sarah reportedly agreed with the charity that she would not attend certain events after Charles and Camilla got involved "because of the sensitivities" surrounding their relationship.
Sarah divorced Charles' brother Prince Andrew over 20 years ago, although the exes have remained friendly.
And Sarah is set to attend an upcoming event for the charity after impressing Camilla.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "It's true that Sarah was dropped from the guest list after the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall became presidents, because of the sensitivities involved.
"She came to an agreement with the charity that her name would not appear. She did not want to embarrass anyone.
"However, since then Camilla has been very impressed by Sarah's work for the charity."
A spokesman for Elephant Family said: "The Duchess of York's support for our work has always been hugely appreciated."

Sarah Ferguson is selling her Bentley for one fifth of its value.
The 56-year-old Duchess of York previously received the £150,000 car as a gift from her former boyfriend Geir Frantzen but has decided to put it up for sale for just £33,995.
A source told The Sun: "She's always short of cash so selling a car she doesn't use makes sense."
Sarah has had money issues in the past and in 2011 her former husband Prince Andrew put in £1.5 million of his own money to help her avoid bankruptcy.
But she has bounced back and most recently was spotted selling food blenders on US shopping channel QVC.
She told viewers of QVC: "Americans have been so good to me. They helped me build my confidence. They gave my children their mother back because they believed in second chances.
"I've made a few mistakes, put on weight and done this, that and the other and now because of the American people, I wanted to be really honest with them."
And Sarah recently revealed that that her daughter Princess Beatrice is much better with money than she is.
Speaking about Beatrice's move to New York last year, she shared: "She loves it. She's doing very well.
"She's very financially savvy, unlike her mother!"
