Romesh Rangathan would be "happy" if his wife left him for Jamie Redknapp.
The 42-year-old comedian has been open about the fact his spouse Leesa – with whom he has three children – has a crush on his ‘League of their Own’ co-star and can understand that the former footballer is "probably a better prospect" than he is, so joked he’d welcome them embarking on a romance.
He told Heat magazine: "Last year we were all on holiday in the Algarve at the same time so we met up for dinner.
"Jamie knows Leesa has a crush on him and Leesa knows Jamie knows.
"I’ve been very open about it, because to be honest, Jamie is better looking than me and probably a better prospect.
"So unconditional love – if they got together, I’d be happy for both of them. Jamie enjoys messaging me and saying, ‘Say hello to Leesa’ and all that s**t.
"Afterwards, Leesa was like, ‘God he looks as good in the flesh as he does on TV, doesn’t he?’ I was like, ‘Yes he does, Leesa – go f**k yourself.’"
When it comes to his own appearance, Romesh’s wife and mother staged an "intervention" to force him into taking more care of his hair and wardrobe so he looks good on TV.
He admitted: "I had to have an intervention because Leesa and my mum were saying I wasn’t making enough effort.
"All that happened is I started getting my hair cut more regularly and I started wearing clothes that fit me.
"I think when people think I’ve had a glow up, it’s just such a damning indictment of how I looked before, because now I just look like a normal bloke.
"So what people are basically saying is, ‘You used to look s**t.’"
