Robyn returning with new song Dopamine this week

Robyn will release her first new music in seven years on Wednesday (12.11.25).

The 46-year-old Swedish singer will drop the single Dopamine – her first material since her 2018 LP Honey.

She captioned a doctored close-up of an eye on Instagram: “Dopamine. November 12.”

The confirmation of the single comes following a report that Robyn is set to release a full album, apparently titled Sexistential, in 2026.

An industry insider told The Sun: “Robyn has spent years working on this music and has been really inspired by loads of up-and-coming artists. She has worked with some very cool people and all the stops are being pulled out for this to be her biggest record in decades.”

According to the outlet, the Dancing On My Own hitmaker is expected to blend her signature emotive synth-pop style with a renewed creative energy influenced by her collaborations and live performances over the past year. The singer has made several surprise appearances recently, joining Charli xcx and Gracie Abrams on stage at separate shows.

Since first emerging as a teenager in the 1990s, she has built a devoted international fanbase through her blend of electronic music, dance beats and raw emotion.

Born Robin Miriam Carlsson, she released her debut album Robyn Is Here in 1995 at the age of 16, achieving early success with singles Do You Know (What It Takes) and Show Me Love.

After breaking from her label in the early 2000s to gain creative control, she launched her own imprint, Konichiwa Records, and released the self-titled Robyn in 2005 – a record that redefined her career and introduced hits such as With Every Heartbeat and Be Mine!.
