Robbie Williams to sing with dad

Robbie Williams’ dad is joining him on tour.

The ‘Candy’ hitmaker has been secretly rehearsing with club singer Pete Conway, as the pair are planning to perform a Frank Sinatra song at his 17 UK concerts in June and July.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Robbie’s dad has already been fitted out for his tour tuxedos and is thrilled to get the chance to sing with his son."

Pete – who performed with Robbie at his one-off London Palladium show last November – recently hinted he was planning something with his superstar son.

He said: "I loved doing the Palladium with him. It was great. I really enjoyed it.

"We’re going to do something together soon. It will be announced shortly – I just don’t know all the details yet."

And the ‘Angels’ singer – who has 18-month-old daughter Theodora ‘Teddy’ Rose with wife Ayda Field – later admitted he was thrilled to get on stage with his 64-year-old dad.

He said: "Music has always been what connects us, well, that and family. So I was thrilled to see how much the audience loved him too.

"From being a kid, Dad’s been my idol and I wouldn’t have all this success if it wasn’t for what I’ve learned from him."

Robbie, 40, performed at his dad’s wedding to Melanie Mills last May, two years after Pete sang for his famous son and actress Ayda when they wed.
