Princess Madeleine loves her son ‘to the moon and back’

Sweden’s Princess Madeleine loves her son "to the moon and back".
The 34-year-old royal celebrated her son Prince Nicolas’ first birthday on June 15 with an image of her "sweetheart" – who is the first grandson of King Carl XVI Gustaf and is sixth in line to the Swedish throne – which showcased his piercing blue eyes that matched his pale blue checkered shirt, alongside a heartfelt birthday message.
According to Hello! Magazine the Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland – who has Nicolas, also known as the Duke of Angermanland, and two-year-old daughter Princess Leonore with her husband Christopher Paul O’Neill, 41, – wrote: "Happy Birthday Nicolas! You are our sweetheart and we love you to the moon and back."
And one week earlier the mother-of-two celebrated her birthday, which was also commemorated with the release of a photograph taken at the Madeleine’s nephew Prince Oscar’s christening in May this year.
However, the brunette beauty’s daughter, who is also known as the Duchess of Gotland, bucked the trend and celebrated her second birthday party with a traditional tea party at their London home in February.
The family decided to uproot from their Swedish home last year, although they regularly return to their home town for special events such as family gatherings, birthday celebrations and to complete official duties required of them.
