Prince William’s Range Rover fails to find buyer

Prince William’s Range Rover which he put up for auction has failed to find a buyer.
The 34-year-old royal’s SE Vogue 4.4 V8, which is sold new for £71,295, has failed to meet the reserve price of £75,000 with the highest bid of just £49,970.
Nathaniel Comer, of Third World charity Sunscreen IT, had purchased the luxury 4×4 in April and wanted to sell it on to raise money to benefit the charity.
William famously made the trip to London’s St Mary’s hospital in the Range Rover to pick up his son and his wife Duchess Catherine’s son Prince George on July 22, 2013.
At the time, Auto Trader’s Editor-in-Chief, Jon Quirk, said: "The Range Rover has long been considered the ultimate statement in luxury transport and its go-anywhere ability makes it a fine royal conveyance.
"However, with two children and a royal reputation to uphold, Prince William may now have to consider the new Bentley Bentayga as his next family chariot – a brand that also proves very popular with his grandmother."
Money made from the sale of the vehicle was also to be shared with mental health charity Stand Down.
The plush 4×4 comes with ABS and special features such as stability control and emergency brake assist.
William is believed to have a large collection of motors including a Bentley Flying Spur and Audi R8 and a Jaguar XJ.
The Range Rover was gifted to the William and Catherine – who also have Prince Charlotte, 15-months – by the car retailer’s VIP Department.
