Prince Harry reportedly wants to step up his royal duties.
The 32-year-old royal has proved to himself that he is capable of covering some of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s duties during his 15-day tour of the Caribbean on her behalf and according to a senior royal aide, Harry wants to do more to help.
Harry’s aide told the Daily Express newspaper: "It’s a very different tour for him, doing a lot of things on behalf of the Queen with many more formal bits. But so far it has exceeded his expectations about what he thought was possible.
"He thinks he can do these more formal duties on behalf of the Queen while retaining an authenticity in his work meeting a wide range of people from leaders down to young people."
Another sign that Harry – who is known for his charming and cheeky nature – is growing up was his statement regarding his relationship with ‘Suits’ actress Meghan Markle.
The flame-haired hunk released a statement declaring his love for the 35-year-old beauty and also said he was "disappointed" he hasn’t been able to protect her from the online trolls she has faced since the couple’s romance was made public.
A statement released by Kensington Palace read: "His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment. Some of this has been very public … the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments.
"Prince Harry is worried about Ms Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her. It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms Markle should be subjected to such a storm. He knows commentators will say this is ‘the price she has to pay’ and that ‘this is all part of the game’. He strongly disagrees. This is not a game – it is her life and his."
