Prince Harry ‘to participate in Walking With The Wounded’s charity trek’

Prince Harry is expected to participate in the Walking With The Wounded’s charity trek from California to Washington DC.
The 32-year-old royal, who left the British army in 2015, is poised to play some part in the 1,200-mile trek on behalf of the charity – and organisers also hope his girlfriend Meghan Meghan will make an appearance.
An insider explained to the Mail on Sunday newspaper: "It would be a great coup if Meghan joined in, too. Walking With the Wounded will be keeping their fingers crossed. As she is American, everyone is hoping she will get involved."
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Walking With the Wounded insisted nothing has been decided so far.
The spokesperson said: "We have not announced anything on a trek across America."
The charity raises funds for the re-education and re-training of Britain’s wounded servicemen and women.
Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to honour the children of those who have died serving in the Armed Forces.
The trio of British royals are to stage an event at Buckingham Palace on May 13, when the youngsters will be able to enjoy live performances in the gardens of the historic landmark, as well as games on the lawn and the chance to explore the grounds of the royal residence.
In a statement, Kensington Palace explained: "The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry hope the event will provide an opportunity for these children to broaden their support networks amongst other families with similar experiences."
