PinkPantheress has branded her biggest hit ‘c***’

PinkPantheress thinks her biggest hit ‘Boy’s a Liar’ is “c***”.

The 22-year-old star – whose real name is Victoria Beverly Walker – has admitted she’s not a fan of her 2022 viral TikTok smash hit nor its Ice-Spice featuring remix.

She told The Guardian: “They’re c***.”

The ‘Just for Me’ singer continued: “The songs that are not my greatest are the ones that do better.”

Despite being a huge hit on TikTok, the chart star never imagined ‘Boy’s a Liar’ would be big on radio.

She said: “With every new height that I achieve, I feel like I have to do something that proves that I’m a serious artist.

“Even with ‘Boy’s a Liar’: people know me for the song, but I feel like now I have to prove that I can write.”

She added: “I thought on an internet level it was going to be big. I didn’t expect it to be big on the radio.”

The tune peaked at number two in the UK, Ireland, and Australia, whilst the remix made it to number three on the Billboard Hot 100.

It reached number one in New Zealand and number two in Canada.

PinkPantheress – who released her debut album, ‘Heaven Knows’, to acclaim on Friday (10.11.23) – wants to “push people’s expectations” with every new release.

She added: “I feel like music these days is so … When I put out songs, I always try to push people’s expectations of myself as an artist, but also, what they’ve heard in music today.”
