Post Malone and Slash to lead Ozzy Osbourne tribute at Grammy Awards

Post Malone and Slash will lead a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (01.02.26).

Singer/rapper Post Malone will take to the stage at the glitzy ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles along with Guns N’ Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan as well as Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith for a performance in honour of the late Black Sabbath legend, who died in July at the age of 76.

The musicians will be joined on stage by producer Andrew Watt, who worked with Ozzy on his last two solo albums – Ordinary Man and Patient Number 9.

The ceremony will also feature a performance by Lauryn Hill in honour of soul star D’Angelo, who died in October, as well as another tribute to singer Roberta Flack, who passed away in February 2025.

The Grammys In Memoriam segment will feature performances from Reba McEntire, Brandy Clark and Lukas Nelson as the organisation honours the artists who died over the last 12 months.

Kendrick Lamar topped the nominations for this year’s Grammy Awards, earning nine nods including Record, Song and Album of the Year.

The Recording Academy revealed a star-studded list that also included Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Addison Rae and Justin Bieber.

Kendrick was also nominated in the Pop Duo/Group Performance, Melodic Rap Performance, Rap Song and Rap Album categories, and twice in Rap Performance.

If GNX wins Album of the Year, it would mark his first victory in that category and only the third rap album ever to win the top prize, following Speakerboxxx/The Love Below by Outkast in 2004 and The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1999.

Lady Gaga, record producer Jack Antonoff and Canadian producer Cirkut follow closely in the nods with seven nominations each. Gaga received her first-ever simultaneous nominations for Song, Record and Album of the Year, and is also recognised in Pop Solo Performance, Pop Vocal Album, Dance Pop Recording and Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

Also featuring in the nominations is pop star Sabrina Carpenter, who received six nods – Album of the Year for Man’s Best Friend, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Music Video for Manchild – and she has been confirmed as one of the performer’s at the star-studded ceremony.
