Piers Morgan blasts David Walliams for being two-faced

Piers Morgan has branded David Walliams a "snivelling toady" who is nice to his face but criticises him behind his back.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ host has noticed the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge liking Twitter posts attacking him and has not taken to the social media site to call him out for his apparent two-faced behaviour.
Piers, 54, tweeted: "Amusing that ⁦@davidwalliams regularly ‘likes’ the nastiest tweets about me, yet is such a snivelling toady to my face."
The breakfast television anchor then taunted David, 48, over the falling ratings on ‘BGT’ since he was sat on the panel for the first four series of Simon Cowell’s ITV talent show,
He posted: "It’s not my fault ⁦@BGT ratings were so much higher when I was in your chair Dave!"
Piers included a screen grab of a tweet liked by David that read: "Just a reminder that @piersmorgan released fake photos of torture in Iraq that endangered the lives of British soldiers, refused to apologise and rightfully got sacked."
The Twitter post is a reference to Piers being removed as editor of the Daily Mirror newspaper in 2004 after printing faked pictures that claimed to show Iraqi prisoners being abused by British soldiers from the Queen’s Lancashire Regiment and was made as part of a campaign calling for Piers to be fired from ‘Good Morning Britain’ over his views on gender identity. The hashtags "#FirePiers" and "#SavePiersMorgan" have been trending on Twitter in the past two days.
David’s ‘Little Britain’ co-star Matt Lucas took it upon himself to defend his friend from Piers’ posts.
Matt, 45, tweeted: "Purely objectively –
1) He was probably being polite. Some people are.
2) Boasting about the BGT ratings and popularity when you were briefly on it to someone who has not only transformed the show but is consistently the biggest-selling author in the country didn’t work."
But Piers fired back, writing: "Hi Matt, I don’t think it’s ‘polite’ to be friendly to people in person but poisonous behind their back – it’s cowardly. As for BGT, I was very proudly on it for the first 4 years when ratings topped 20 million. They’re now half that. Not a boast, just a fact."
Rather than continue the online discussion that took place on Tuesday night (15.10.19), former ‘Doctor Who’ star Matt ended the thread by simply writing: "Go to bed."
