Pete Doherty’s solo show cancelled

Pete Doherty’s solo show at Rough Trade has been cancelled.
The ‘Last of the English Roses’ hitmaker was due to perform at Rough Trade East store in London on Monday (05.12.16) but was forced to cancel due to "delays en route".
A statement released on Twitter by the venue reads: "Due to delays en route, unfortunately @petedoherty in-store at @RoughTrade tonight has been cancelled. Sincerest apologies to all …
"For those [who] purchased album/wristbands, you’re entitled to a refund, but we’re working on a re-scheduled date and will update tomorrow. (sic)"
Just last week, the 37-year-old singer released his first solo album in seven years, titled ‘Hamburg Demonstrations’.
The LP – which was produced by The Libertines and Babyshambles producer Johann Scheerer – was worked on in Hamburg, Germany after Pete moved there for six months to make the record at the Clouds Hill Recordings studio, which he fell in love with.
On the album is a tribute to his close friend Amy Winehouse, a reworked version of ‘Flags Of The Old Regime’, which has now been re-titled as ‘Flags From The Old Regime’.
In a song called ‘Hell To Pay At The Gates of Heaven’, Pete references the November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris whilst also featuring a line about Beatles legend John Lennon’s guitars. On the song, Peter sings: "Come on boys choose your weapon J-45 or AK-47."
Meanwhile, The Libertines’ Carl Barat recently teased the band have a "special plan" for their next album.
Carl told BANG Showbiz: "We are working on the new record. We have a special plan for that actually. I can’t really say anything about it, but it is really exciting and we are all in a really good place for that. The project we are looking at is pretty immersive and I think it will be more like how we were for our first record."
