Paul Potts wouldn’t rule out future talent shows

Paul Potts wouldn’t rule out returning to one of Simon Cowell’s shows in the future.
The opera singer – who was the winner of the very first series of the ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ back in 2007 – was eliminated from new show ‘Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions’ at the weekend, after Simon said the "shaky" performance got better as it went on.
The singer was forced to respond to claims he was thrown off by a last-minute production change.
But he has now insisted he’d be happy to perform in Simon’s global version of the contest he’s planning.
Paul told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "I felt that I had performed well enough.
"The most important thing was that I was there to represent the programme that started everything for me."
Asked if he would like to return to one of the music music mogul’s future shows, he added: "I would consider taking part. It would be great to take my voice and the art of opera to more people across the world."
Paul admitted he blamed himself for his exit from the show on Saturday (31.08.19).
He tweeted: "Hmmmm perhaps my words should be read a little more carefully. I blamed myself. "I self analyse after every performance and I can pick out every error. My job is to do everything I can to avoid slipping up due to these things including technical issues."
He had previously revealed he was put off by a change in filming just moments before he stepped out on stage.
He explained: "Was little frustrated with myself as after 15 run throughs, Production gave me a change of camera direction on my way to the stage &it left me looking for the camera that came from different direction
"Shouldnt have allowed that to make me think, as I need to feel when performing.(sic)"
He then responded to fans sending him messages of support and revealed he has no plans of stopping making music because he is still enjoying a career away from television.
He said: "I’ll definitely never give up. I love what I do too much for that. Plus I’d have to pay out for cancellation for 52 shows. That would bankrupt me lol (sic)"
And Paul, 48, also suggested ‘BGT: The Champions’ is "more about celebrating success" than pitting former contestants against each other.
He added: "The show is more about celebrating success than a competition.extremely proud that 12 years on Im just as busy as ever doing what I love. I count myself very fortunate but I also work as hard as I can."
