Paul Hollywood ‘set to sign Warburtons deal’

Paul Hollywood is reportedly poised to sign a £1 million advertising deal with Warburtons.
The 53-year-old celebrity chef – who is best known for starring on ‘The Great British Bake Off’ – is in advanced talks with the well-known brand and is apparently set to sign the deal within the coming days.
A TV insider told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "An offer worth £1.1 million was tabled. Paul’s team considered it and have asked for £1.5 million as well as agency fees.
"Negotiations are ongoing, but things are looking positive. Execs at Warburtons are confident they’ll be able to strike a deal."
Assuming he signs the deal, Paul will become the face of the bread company’s next big campaign in the spring, with the insider saying it will be a "tongue-in-cheek" promotion.
The source shared: "Paul is one of the biggest names on telly and obviously known for his baking skills and love for bread.
"Warburtons bosses reckon he’d be the perfect brand ambassador for them. They want to make the ads very funny. They won’t be too serious.
"The company is celebrating its 143rd anniversary this year, but it faces challenges keeping momentum going.
"The number of people who have become more health-conscious and wanting to cut out bread consumption is on the rise."
