Missy Elliot is planning a comeback

Missy Elliot is set to make a comeback.
The American rapper and producer is planning her return to music nine years after releasing her last album 'The Cookbook' and has hinted she could follow in Beyoncé's footsteps and surprise fans.
In a chat with Yahoo's 'The Yo Show', Missy said: "When I create something, it's gotta be special, and it can't just be to throw something out there because I feel like I'm Missy.
"I gotta feel like what I'm giving the fans is 100 per cent and that it's game-changing. I don't just throw out microwave records."
Missy confirmed her comeback album is imminent but when quizzed about the release date, she replied: "I just ain't telling nobody when."
After stepping out of the spotlight in 2005, she began producing and lending her vocals to singles by Monica, Keyshia Cole, Jazmine Sullivan and Jennifer Hudson.
Since 2007 Missy has teased her seventh album, 'Block Party', with a handful of singles including 'Best, Best', 'Ching-a-Ling' and 'Shake Your Pom Pom' but the full record has never been released.
In 2012 she also dropped the singles '9th Inning' and 'Triple Threat', reuniting her with collaborator Timbaland.
More recently the 42-year-old star has worked with girl band Little Mix on their single 'How Ya Doin'?' last year.

Beck wrote album using a toy guitar

Beck wrote his album using a toy guitar.
The 43-year-old rock singer says he was forced to use a plastic instrument when writing his 2008 album ' Modern Guilt' after suffering a serious spinal injury, which not only jeopardised his singing ability but made holding the instrument excruciatingly painful.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Beck explained: "When I made 'Modern Guilt' it was really tough. I made that whole record on a toy guitar. I couldn't even sing from here [he says pointing to his waist.] And I could only sing from the neck. It wasn't the greatest time for me."
The 'Loser' hitmaker claims he was disappointed that he couldn't get back into the studio earlier after major surgery forced him to take a six year hiatus from recording music to fully recover from his injury.
Beck recalled: "I wanted to make another record and I kept thinking it was going to get better, but it took a real long time to heal. I had a lot of physical therapy and healing. I had about 20 different things done."
Meanwhile, Beck expressed his excitement ahead of the release of his new album 'Morning Phase', his first in six years, which is out on February 25.
He gushed: "I've put a lot into it and it's a record I've wanted to make for a long time. It's gratifying feeling that I finally got here."

Queen Elizabeth and Duchess Catherine to host reception

Britain's Queen Elizabeth and Duchess Catherine will host a star-studded reception at Buckingham Palace later this month.
The 87-year-old royal is teaming up with the Duchess of Cambridge, 32, to welcome a host of A-Listers including Dame Helen Mirren, Sir David Attenborough, Cate Blanchett, David Tennant and Benedict Cumberbatch in honour of The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) on February 17.
Hello! magazine report they will be joined by a number of other royals including Elizabeth's husband Prince Philip - known as the Duke of Edinburgh - at the monarch's London residence.
This event will come only a day after Prince William will attend the BAFTA Awards 2014 which will be held at London's Royal Opera House.
The Duke of Cambridge - who is President of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts - is due to present Mirren with the Fellowship Award in honour of her contribution to the film industry at the ceremony.
Amanda Berry OBE, chief executive of BAFTA, is "delighted" to have the 31-year-old royal - whose grandfather was the organisation's first president in 1959 - attend the event.
She previously said: "We are delighted to welcome our President back to the EE British Academy Film Awards. The Duke loves film and he is incredibly supportive of the work BAFTA does."

Jay Leno says goodbye to Tonight Show

Jay Leno has filmed his last ever episode of 'The Tonight Show'.
The TV host wrapped filming on the chat show last night after over 20 years at its helm last night (06.02.14) and fought back tears as he thanked viewers for their loyalty.
He said towards the end of the show: "Boy this is the hard part ... The first year of this show I lost my mom; the second year I lost my dad. Then my brother died and after that I was pretty much out of family.
"The folks here became my family. When people say to me, 'Hey, why don't you go to ABC, why don't you go to Fox?' - [but] I didn't know anybody over there. These are the only people I know."
The 63-year-old funny man was joined by a galaxy of stars for his last ever broadcast at the Burbank Studios in California, including Kim Kardashian and Billy Crystal, who led everyone in a comedic rendition of The Sound of Music's 'So Long, Farewell' along with Jack Black, 'The Big Bang Theory' star Jim Parsons and chat show legend Oprah Winfrey, who warbled the line "you really raised the bar if you were me you'd buy them all a car".
Sheryl Crow came out at the end to finish the song.
During his opening monologue, Leno referenced his 22 years at the helm of the programme, saying: "Tonight is our last show for real. See I don't need to be fired three times, I get the hint. Being together all these years, it's kind of like graduating high school. A high school for very stupid people that have been together for 22 years ... You know, 22 years, that's a long time. Here's how long ago it was. When I started hosting marijuana was illegal and you could smoke cigarettes anywhere you wanted; 22 years ago there was no Craigslist, serial killers had to meet their victims the old fashioned way, at a bus station at midnight; 22 years ago guys actually had to go to the news stand for porn. Can you imagine, you had to pay for it! You know the saddest part of all, OJ (Simpson) never found the real killers ... When I started Justin Bieber wasn't even born yet, that's why we called it the good old days."
Many of the guests took to Twitter to thank the host for having them on his last ever show.
Kim tweeted: "What an amazing night! Honored to be a part of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on his last show with Sheryl Crow, Carol Burnett, Oprah, Jack Black, Chris Paul, Billy Crystal & Jim Parsons. THANK YOU. (sic0
'Soak Up the Sun' singer Sheryl also took to the social networking site prior to her appearance on 'The Tonight Show', saying: "Excited to be a part of @jayleno 's last #TonightShow tonite! We will miss you, Jay! (sic)"
Jimmy Fallon will take over presenting duties on 'The Tonight Show' from next week.

Louis Walsh to return to X Factor

Louis Walsh will return to the 'X Factor' since Simon Cowell couldn't do the show "without" him.
The 61-year-old star has been a judge on the singing contest since its inception in 2004 and although last summer he insisted he was going to step down it seems he's reconsidered his stance since show boss and good friend Simon is making a comeback to the UK version of the programme.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Simon took a while to confirm he was definitely coming back and now he's there he wants Louis by his side.
"They are old pals and he knows that he couldn't do it without Louis. Louis hits a certain audience and has been a constant on the panel -- he is someone that Simon trusts.
"He's his eyes and ears when Simon's not around which, for a control freak like Simon, is vitally important."
Simon is expected to have Cheryl Cole - who worked on the show between 2008 - 2011 - and Rita Ora on the judges panel too.
He previously said: "Cheryl and I patched up our differences a long time ago. I saw her recently, we speak a lot on the phone and text each other, and I think both of us would like the idea of working together again.
"She was a great judge. I mean, apart from being cute she's a great judge and she knows what she's talking about and, oh my God, she wears her heart on her sleeve!"
Before adding: "I met with Rita at my house recently and I was really, really impressed with her and you just know she's a future star."

Russell Brand wants drug law reform in wake of Hoffman death

Russell Brand has called for a reform of drug laws following Philip Seymour Hoffman's death.
The Oscar-winning actor tragically died in his New York City apartment over the weekend after experiencing a relapse, and Brand - who himself has battled drug addiction and alcoholism in the past - believes he is a "victim" of laws that "criminalise drug addicts".
The 38-year-old comedian-turned-political activist believes addiction is a "mental illness" and should be treated as a medical condition in order to prevent tragedies such as Hoffman's death from a suspected heroin overdose
In an article written for The Guardian newspaper, he stated: "Addiction is a mental illness around which there is a great deal of confusion, which is hugely exacerbated by the laws that criminalise drug addicts.
"If drugs are illegal people who use drugs are criminals. We have set our moral compass on this erroneous premise, and we have strayed so far off course that the landscape we now inhabit provides us with no solutions and greatly increases the problem.
"People are going to use drugs; no self-respecting drug addict is even remotely deterred by prohibition."
Brand believes the 'Capote' actor - who was allegedly found with a syringe of heroin in his arm at his West Village home in New York City - may not have succumbed to his addiction if there was more help on offer.
The 'Get Him to the Greek' star said: "Philip Seymour Hoffman's death is a reminder, though, that addiction is indiscriminate. That it is sad, irrational and hard to understand. Would Hoffman have died if this disease were not so enmeshed in stigma? If we weren't invited to believe that people who suffer from addiction deserve to suffer? Would he have OD'd if drugs were regulated, controlled and professionally administered?"

Enrique Iglesias has never done drugs

Enrique Iglesias has never dabbled in drugs.
The 'Hero' hitmaker claims he's never been tempted to try an illegal substance, despite being surrounded by people in the industry that regularly snort cocaine.
He said: "I was never tempted by drugs. The amount of times I've been asked, 'You don't do coke? But you're in music.
"You really don't do coke?'
"I don't like sticking stuff up my nose. Get me a drink, get me a rum. I drink, I'm a social drinker but I feel like I can control it.
"There are friends of mine who go out at the weekend and do a lot of cocaine and do any drug and be perfectly fine throughout the week.
"But some others can't do that. I need my eight hours' sleep, that's for sure."
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old singer believes Justin Bieber,19 - who was arrested last month for driving under the influence (DUI), driving with an expired license and resisting arrest in Miami - is just being young and experimenting with life.
However, the hunky star insists the troubled teen needs to surround himself with supportive people before things get too far.
He explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's common in this business that there are just, 'yes, yes' people and you need people that are not afraid of telling you 'no'.
"You need to be told you made a mistake. That's crucial.
"You can't believe your own hype because in showbusiness there are moments where that can happen."

Allison Williams wants to be a mother

Allison Williams would love to be a mother.
The 26-year-old actress is keen to set herself up with a career that she can balance equally with motherhood because she doesn't want to sacrifice precious time with her children for her job.
Speaking in the March issue of US Glamour magazine, she said: "My goal is to create a career I can walk away from and become a mom. I'd love to be a mom -- and not have to bring my kids into my trailer . . . Or a balance [of both]. But you gotta call it on the fly to a certain extent."
However, the 'Girls' star - who plays uptight Marnie Michaels in the hit HBO show - isn't ready to throw her acting career away for something more family-friendly just yet as she has a list of character she'd like to play first.
She said recently: "I want to play a villain. I want to play a romantic heroine. I want to play someone who's on heroin. There's nothing I don't want to do. I want to play a guy at some point. I'll gain 100lbs, I'll cut my hair off, I'll do whatever. I'm not precious about any of it."

Luisa Zissman ‘obsessed’ with Dappy’s penis

Luisa Zissman is "obsessed" with Dappy's penis.
The sex-crazed 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant enjoyed a close bond with the N-Dubz star in the Big Brother house and admits she is amazed by his large appendage.
She said: "I did walk in and see him going to the toilet. I haven't measured it but I'm obsessed with it. I only saw it briefly, but it looked huge!"
Despite appearing to frolic in the house, Luisa, 26, insists she isn't sure she and Dappy will be more than friends.
The brunette beauty said: "We do get on really well but I don't think either of us would jeopardise our friendship. I'm really flirty, Dappy's really flirty, but it doesn't mean we're about to become an item."
Luisa is also cautious about jumping into bed with the 26-year-old rapper.
She added: "I really don't think we would. I don't want to f**k it up by having sex with him. He might not even want to have sex with me!"
The former 'Apprentice' contestant admits, however, that she would have sex with fellow housemate Jasmine Waltz, whom she became good friends with.
She enthused to new! magazine: "She's really hot, totally my kind of girl. She's gorgeous!
"We definitely got energy from each other - we buoyed each other up and egged each other on."

Corrie’s Tina and Peter give into feelings

'Coronation Street's' Tina McIntyre will find herself giving into her feelings for Peter Barlow next week.
The soap favourite played by Michelle Keegan is determined to leave Weatherfield in order to avoid an affair with married Peter - played by Chris Gascoyne - but the pair eventually give in and enjoy another passionate kiss.
A source told Inside Soap magazine: "Of course, Tina is making the most sensible decision for everybody by bidding the Street farewell and leaving Peter far behind. She knows it can only end in tears and those tears will probably be her own.
"Peter doesn't have the courage to choose between the two women in his life and refuses to sacrifice his marriage. The big problem is the overpowering chemistry between him and Tina - they're both slaves to this irresistible physical attraction."
Peter, who is married to Carla Connor (Alison King), previously refused to leave his wife for the barmaid but it appears he may be having a change of heart as he begs Tina not to leave.
The insider added: "Peter's son Simon, who Tina has grown very close to in recent weeks, is as upset as she is about the prospect of her departure. And after Peter tells her she mustn't go, poor Tina doesn't know what to think."

Queen to play with Adam Lambert in US

Queen are expected to play gigs in America this summer with Adam Lambert.
Brian May has revealed the band - which also features Roger Taylor - are still working together and planning to perform with Adam Lambert replacing the late Freddie Mercury as frontman.
Brian told BBC Radio 2: "We are ongoing, we can't help it, I think we all protested too much in the sense when Freddie went and we didn't want to talk about it and didn't want to be Queen for a while.
"But after a while you realise that people wanna hear the songs and see us do things. So, no matter what you call it, Roger and I do do stuff and I think we'll be doing some more stuff this summer in fact, probably in the States."
When quizzed about who will stand in as a frontman for the band, the 66-year-old musician said: "We've been talking to Adam Lambert, you know we've already done some gigs with Adam, who is amazing."
Brian and Roger have joined forces with 32-year-old Adam, who was the runner-up on American Idol in 2009, for a number of concerts in the past.
The band are also still "good friends" with Paul Rodgers, who they formed a supergroup with in 2005, but Brian said it was unlikely they would work together anytime soon.
He added: "Paul has a career of his own and he can't do the Queen thing indefinitely."
