Pharrell Williams wants to reunite Gallagher brothers

Pharrell Williams wants to reunite the Gallagher brothers for a collaboration.
The 'Happy' chart-topper says his dream duet would be with warring Oasis bandmates Liam and Noel Gallagher, who haven't spoken since a backstage punch-up at a French festival in 2009.
The fight put an end to the Brit pop band, with Noel founding rock group Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Liam fronting Beady Eye, but Pharrell is still hoping for a reconciliation.
Pharrell told BBC Newsbeat: "Who wouldn't want to work with the Gallaghers? Yeah, both of them."
The hip-hop star also revealed he would love to work with musical greats Sir Elton John and Stevie Wonder, who have been long-time inspirations for him.
Pharrell named his five-year-old son Rocket, with wife Helen Lasichanh , after Elton's 1972 track 'Rocket Man' and recently performed with Stevie, Daft Punk and Nile Rodgers at the Grammys.
The 40-year-old singer said: "I really respect Elton John's music and I'd love to do something with him. I would love to do a whole album with Stevie Wonder. That would be amazing. He doesn't need me, but it'd be amazing."

ITV for Lego-themed ad break

ITV will air an entire ad break made from Lego this Sunday (09.02.14).
BT, Confused.com and Premier Inn will all screen commercials using the children's building block toy to promote the release of Warner Bros.' new film, 'The LEGO Movie'.
The adverts will air during ITV's primetime show 'Dancing on Ice' at around 7:28pm and will be interspersed with character clips from the new movie, as well as a new trailer.
The Premier Inn advert will see the company's promotional frontman Lenny Henry recreated using Lego.
The trio of ads were masterminded by media agency PHD.
The company's head of planning David Wilding said: "To support the launch of a movie in which the whole world is made of Lego, we came up with the idea of transporting ITV viewers there.
"It's a testament to the strength of the idea, just how much passion, energy and sheer enthusiasm every partner in this project has put in and we can't wait to see the results."
Premier Inn's marketing director Russell Braterman added: "To see our latest TV ad in Lego bricks reflects the multi-channel approach we have adopted for our latest campaign - I love the innovative and relevant media first of the ad break."

Rob Brydon to host The Guess List

Rob Brydon has signed up to host 'The Guess List'.
The 'Gavin and Stacey' star will front the new Saturday night game show on BBC One, which will see contestants competing for prizes with the help of celebrities, and he's looking forward to seeing how they get on.
He said: "I loved making the pilot for 'The Guess List' and can't wait to get started on the first series."
It is set to appear on screens in the spring and will be made up of six, 40 minute episodes with each instalment showing two contestants compete for a prize which has been selected especially for them with the help of five famous faces from the worlds of sport, music, TV and film.
The celebrity helpers - who are yet to be announced - will not have it easy however, as Rob will be making sure that they too face "one or two unexpected questions of their own".
BBC One controller Charlotte Moore said of the new addition: "More Rob on BBC One can only be a good thing. It's a really funny show and an exciting addition to Saturday nights."
The 48-year-old comedian recently filmed 'The Trip to Italy' with fellow funnyman Steve Coogan which will air on BBC Two later this year and he will also sit in the host's chair for a new series of the panel show 'Would I Lie To You?'

Daniel Whiston tips Torvill and Dean for reunion

Daniel Whiston would be "surprised" if Torvill and Dean don't reunite in future.
The 'Dancing on Ice' mentors - full names Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean - announced this week they will end their decades-long partnership this year following the ninth and final series of the hit ITV show, and after marking the 30th anniversary of their famous bolero at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
However, 'Dancing on Ice' pro skater Daniel - who has re-teamed with Hayley Tamaddon for the all-stars series - isn't convinced the legendary duo's split will be permanent.
He told BANG Showbiz exclusively: "It's a very personal decision on their behalf. I respect it fully. I think the people will miss them skating together because they are legendary. But never say never ... if they don't step on the ice again together, it would very much surprise me. I think that they'll be back at some point to skate again because people like Jayne and Chris are legends and people will always want to see them skate."
Daniel, 37, grew up a fan of Torvill and Dean and admits he often has to "pinch" himself when around the pair.
He enthused: "Working with Jayne and Chris, they're kind of like the David Beckham to work with as a football fan. I've looked up to them for a long time; from a little boy, watching what they do, so that whole bolero was absolute history-making."
The skating star has been with 'Dancing on Ice' since it first launched in 2006 and has won the series three times.
With the show's impending curtain call, Daniel believes there should be another ice skating-themed show to take its place.
He said: "'Dancing on Ice' has absolutely put skating back on the map again. It's filled ice rinks right across the UK. People are skating because of 'Dancing on Ice', it's generated so much interest - and it's not just kids, it's mums, dads, grandmas, granddads. People go, 'If Todd Carty can do it, I can do it.' I think it would be a really positive thing if something did stay on the TV which involves skating. It would be brilliant for our next generation."

John Thomson thinks proposal was ‘absolutely ridiculous’

John Thompson thinks some of the ideas on 'The Proposers' are "absolutely ridiculous".
The former 'Fast Show' comedian narrates the new series which sees hopeful romantics seek the help of Daisy Amodio and Tiffany Wright, who assist them in coming up with unique and often elaborate proposal ideas, and he says some of the ideas are outrageous.
He said: "It was laugh out loud funny sometimes. There was one I thought was absolutely ridiculous ... one guy whose budget was a bit less gave the girls the brief that, 'Well my girlfriend likes Disney and she likes small dogs', so they went 'OK, that's something we can work with.'
"So what they did was made homemade miniature Disney costumes for these tiny dogs which were walked past them while they sat on a park bench and he popped the question. She looked pretty happy with it."
The 44-year-old actor - who's starred in 'Cold Feet' and 'Coronation Street' in the past - admitted that he was surprised no one had said no to any of the proposals and claimed when he asked his wife of nine years, Samantha Sharp, to marry him it was much less exciting than ideas from the show.
He told BANG Showbiz: "Mine was bog standard. I went to Sharrow Bay in Ullswater in the Lake District, took her for dinner at a really, really good restaurant, had champagne waiting in the bedroom then got down on one knee and proposed and she said yes."
'The Proposers' starts on Wednesday, February 12 on Lifetime (Sky 156 / Virgin 242).

Tom Hiddleston always played the villain

Tom Hiddleston always played the bad guy when he was younger.
The 32-year-old actor does the voice over for pirate James in the new animated movie 'The Pirate Fairy', and he admits when he was a child he'd always prefer to play the villain in performances.
He explained: "During the school summer holidays, my sisters and my cousins would write plays. And at the end of the summer, we'd perform them for our parents. That's when I started acting.
"My sisters and my eldest cousin, Zoe, would write the play. My cousin Matt would make the stage ... And I would always play the bad guy."
The hunky star insists it's hard work doing a voice over for an animated character because you are forced to convey emotion through the use of your vocals.
He explained: "I love voice work because you're stripped of some of your tools. You're stripped of your body and you're stripped of your eyes, which tell so much story when you're doing live-action work. With voice acting, your voice has to tell all of the story, which means you have to work harder but in the most exciting way."
The movie follows the adventures of Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks) as she leaves Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock.
Tinker Bell (voice of Mae Whitman) and her friends go on an adventure to find Zarina but come face-to-face with the band of pirates led by James (Hiddleston), who'll soon be known as Captain Hook.
'The Pirate Fairy' is set for release on February 14.

Gary Oldman had to relearn English accent

Gary Oldman had to relearn his English accent.
The 55-year-old actor - who was born in London - admits he's been living in the US for so long that he had to hire a voice coach to help him with the British dialect for his role in 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy'.
Speaking on the UK's 'The Graham Norton Show', which airs tonight (07.02.14), he said: "I have lived in America for so long, my kids are American and that's what I hear around me every day and occasionally weird sounds that I don't notice slip in. I had to brush up my English."
Meanwhile, Oldman recently admitted he was charmed into accepting the part of Dr. Dennett Norton in the 'Robocop' remake by the director José Padilha.
He told BANG Showbiz earlier this week: "This film wasn't on my list of things to do but I came in and I read it and I thought it was fun, and I like José the director, he was a charmer."
Oldman also insists they are significant differences between the new film and the original 1987 version, directed by Paul Verhoeven.
He added: "I saw the original when it came out. I haven't seen it since. It was more of a horror I remember - it was more violent and had more gore than ours."

Julianne Moore’s daughter prefers her air-brushed

Julianne Moore's daughter thinks she looks better air-brushed.
The 53-year-old actress admits Liv, 11, prefers her photographs when they've been professionally touched up as it erases the freckles she has on face and body.
Julianne told the March issue of Redbook magazine: "Sometimes a magazine wants to see my actual skin, and other times they'll airbrush [the freckles] out. I don't care either way.
"[But] once my daughter [Liv] saw me on a cover where I had no freckles and said, 'That doesn't look like you at all!' And then - just like a kid - 'I like you better without them.' Thanks!"
The flame-haired beauty published a children's book in 2007 based on her childhood nickname, Freckleface Strawberry in a bid to tackle the stigma attached to freckles and red hair.
She previously said: "When I read to children's groups, I warm up to them by asking, 'Have you ever seen anybody with as many freckles as I have?' And they all say, 'Nooo!' "
Julianne - who also has 16-year-old son Calab - admitted recently she's learnt to love her freckles as she's grown older and it doesn't let them bother her like they did when she was in her teens.

Bradley Cooper wants private relationship with Suki

Bradley Cooper is glad the paparazzi are leaving him and Suki Waterhouse alone.
The 'American Hustle' actor has been romancing the British model since meeting her at a party in London in February 2013 and is relieved people have respected their privacy so far.
He told France's Gala magazine: "I don't know why, but up until now the paparazzi have mostly left us alone. We've not been hounded like wild animals. I appreciate that. I hope it lasts!"
The 39-year-old actor is extremely close to his mother, Gloria, who moved into his Los Angeles house a few years ago following the death of his father, and says being the "baby" of the family has worked in his advantage.
Bradley said: "She is a very big part of my life. To be honest, I'm the baby of a Catholic family from Philadelphia and I definitely made the most of the situation. My parents, who come from Ireland and Italy, were much more strict with my older sister. I was able to do what I wanted, no one really set any rules for me."
The handsome star also admitted he is a pro in the kitchen and loves cooking for his family.
Asked about his secret talent, Bradley replied: "Being a good chef. I owe it to my grandmother. From the age of 15, and for a few years after that, I worked in a restaurant. I love having my family over for dinner and making lovely meals for them. I'm especially good at cooking turkey!"

Demi Lovato bans drugs from tour

Demi Lovato has banned anyone from using drugs or alcohol from her upcoming 'Neon Lights' tour.
The 'Heart Attack' hitmaker wants everyone involved in her tour to stay clean following the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, who tragically died in his New York City apartment over the weekend after experiencing a relapse, according to RadarOnline.com.
The 21-year-old singer - who has battled and overcome cocaine addiction in the past - believes her shows should be about putting on the best performance possible for her fans instead of a time for wild partying.
Speaking on TV show 'Extra' recently, she said: "Everyone on the team is required to stay clean and focused. It's not about trying to party. It's about putting on the best show and everyone needs to be in tip top shape. That's how it should be for every tour."
Demi also expressed her heartache and sympathy towards the Oscar-winning actor - who was allegedly found with a syringe of heroin in his arm at his West Village home - after learning of his failed attempt to stay clean.
She said: "People don't take [addiction] as seriously as it is. It's a mental illness and it's a disease ... There's no pill that's gonna change it.
"People need to have compassion for it. Rather than, being a former addict, looking at it as I had a choice, because at some point in my disease I didn't. I physically and emotionally couldn't live without it. That was my medicine to my pain."

Dakota Johnson can’t talk to parents about 50 Shades

Dakota Johnson is too embarrassed to talk to her parents about her 'Fifty Shades of Grey' role.
The 24-year-old actress is currently filming the big screen adaptation of E.L. James' erotic novel opposite Irish hunk Jamie Dornan, but admits she hasn't ever discussed the intricacies of her role as naïve Anastasia Steele - who gets entangled in an S&M relationship with kinky businessman Christian Grey - with her family.
Dakota - who will have to strip off naked for the part and engaged in very explicit scenes - blushed: "I think that I would love to have [my parents] experience it with me, but I can't really do that, just because of what it entails. I talk to them more about problems with my landlords. That's my talking point with my family."
The book trilogy has been dubbed "mommy porn" by the media due to its popularity with middle-aged women.
Dakota will be happy if the majority of the audience who see the movie - which also stars Rita Ora, Eloise Mumford and Luke Grimes - but she is anticipating a varied crowd.
She told the latest issue of Vanity Fair magazine: "I wonder if it will be like, 40 year old moms, which I am cool with. I love moms."
