Victoria Beckham: School was tough

Victoria Beckham "wouldn't wish" her schooldays on anyone.
The 39-year-old fashion designer admits she wept when she received a British Fashion Award two years ago because she couldn't believe how much her life has changed since she was bullied for being "different".
She said: "I had come such a long way. I didn't go to a private school; it was a public school. It was not a very nice school.
"[I was bullied because I was] different from all the other children at the school. I really wouldn't wish it on any kid, because it's horrible."
Victoria - who has children Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 11, Cruz, eight, and Harper, two, with husband David - credits her former Spice Girls bandmates for helping her overcome her problems and become more confident.
Speaking to the new edition of Allure magazine, she said: "I think what gave me confidence in myself was meeting the other girls. We always said we were all like rejects in our own way. We had to work hard, and they helped me accept me for who I was."
And the British star also admitted to having "purchased" her breasts, though she has now had the implants removed.
Looking at an old photograph, she said: "I don't have them anymore. I think I may have purchased them."

Sam Faiers ‘still not 100 per cent’

Sam Faiers is still "not 100 per cent".
The 23-year-old beauty was rushed to hospital due to a mystery illness while in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house last month and she says doctors still haven't been able to diagnose what is wrong with her.
Sam said: "I'm better than I was but I'm still not 100 per cent. My immune system is down at the moment so I'm picking up every bug going.
"I'm still having tests done. I'm going to hospital in a few days to have a colonoscopy and they should be able to tell me what it is after that.
"I think I've had about nine blood tests, a CT scan and an ultrasound. They've been checking everything from my blood-sugar levels to whether I have anaemia. My bowels are swollen and so are my intestines."
Despite being ill for some time now, 'The Only Way is Essex' star says her symptoms aren't too severe.
She added to Britain's OK! magazine: "Whatever I have, the doctors have told me it's treatable and the worst-case scenario is I'd have to make some changes to my diet. It might even just be a really nasty virus."
Sam has lost a stone-and-a-half (21 pounds) due to the illness and reveals her mother is nursing her back to health.
She said: "I've been a recluse at my mum's house for the past few weeks. She's been trying to fatten me up with roast dinners, shepherd's pie, pasta - all my favourites."

Claudia Winkleman loves filming Sewing Bee

Claudia Winkleman loves filming 'The Great British Sewing Bee'.
The 42-year-old TV presenter has recently finished filming the second series of the BBC Two competition and admits the cast and crew all have so much fun making the programme that it doesn't matter if it doesn't get good ratings.
She said: "The camaraderie on any film crew is key. I shouldn't say this but it doesn't matter what goes out. I hope it's fine and I hope to continue to have a job but if I don't, I don't."
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' presenter hosts the programme, which sees 10 amateur stitchers battle against each other in challenges judged by Savile Row tailor Patrick Grant and sewing teacher Mary Martin.
She added: "The key with all these things is that the crew, the hair and make-up, and the sewers all cry with laughter all day."
Despite admitting that she loves her sleep and finds it difficult to get out of bed and go to work in the mornings, Claudia says that she loves being a part of 'Strictly Come Dancing' and gets consumed by the drama of it.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "When I'm doing Strictly, there's nothing else. I'm the colour of George Hamilton and I'm obsessed by fleckerls, the signature move in the Viennese waltz, but then a week after Strictly's done, I can't tell you who's won."
'The Great British Sewing Bee' returns to BBC Two tonight (18.02.14)

Helen Flanagan: Big love to Luisa Zissman

Helen Flanagan has "big love" for Luisa Zissman.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress and 'Celebrity Big Brother' star have had choice words for each other in recent weeks after Helen branded Luisa's steamy actions on the Channel 5 reality show unladylike.
Luisa hit back by claiming her breasts were better than the actress', but Helen is now hoping to clear the air.
She explained to Nuts magazine: "Well, for the record, she has beautiful boobs. Haha! And I never said she wasn't classy.
"I think we're two really headstrong women. I regret my tweet saying that some of her behaviour was not ladylike. It's not nice to judge someone and I'm a girl's girl. I don't like to be negative to any women. So, big love to Luisa."
And the 23-year-old beauty would even like to spend some time with Luisa, 26, so they can bond.
Quizzed who she'd love to share a road trip with, Helen said: "Kelly Brook would be good as I admire her. She's a lovely lady and is always very nice to me - we get on really well. Then, of course, my crush Leonardo DiCaprio. Finally, Luisa, so we could clear the air."
Helen also revealed the reason she dyed her hair red recently.
The former blonde said: "I wanted a change. I was blonde for quite a long time and wanted to change my image a bit. I was the blonde in the jungle. New Year, fresh start. I feel sexier with red hair. It suits my personality, I'm quite passionate and fiery."

Michelle Rodriguez: Cara Delevingne is ‘awesome’

Michelle Rodriguez thinks Cara Delevingne is "awesome".
The 35-year-old actress has been "hanging out" with the 21-year-old model - who she was pictured kissing at a basketball game last month - and says they are having "the best time" together.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's going really well. She's so cool. When we started hanging out I just thought she was awesome, and we have the best time together. She's hard though. You wouldn't want to mess with her in a fight."
And asked why she was alone at the BAFTA Awards on Sunday (16.02.14), she added: "Cara's at her own fashion week party tonight, so doing her own thing."
However, the former 'Lost' actress insisted she is just "having fun" with the British beauty.
Asked if they are in a relationship, she said: "We're just having fun."
The pair enjoy spending time with one another because they like to "dork around" and are both "crazy".
Michelle told The Sun newspaper: "We just dork around together. There's no other way to put it because I might be 'crazy' but Cara's crazier."
Michelle and Cara, who were introduced by mutual friends in America, have been seen out and about on several occasions in London and California since the beginning of the year, including at Prince's low-key gig at Ronnie Scott's in the UK capital last night (17.02.14).

Jimmy Fallon makes Tonight show debut

Robert DeNiro, Lady Gaga, Lindsay Lohan and Mariah Carey were among the surprise guests on Jimmy Fallon's debut 'Tonight Show' last night (17.02.14).
The former 'Saturday Night Live' star anchored his first show from New York and took the time to mock a "buddy" who bet him he would never land the job, prompting a host of famous faces to come out and honour the bet.
Jimmy said: "To my buddy who said that I'd never be the host of The Tonight Show - and you know who you are - you owe me a hundred bucks, buddy."
DeNiro then walked through the curtains and handed the host a $100 bill, and was quickly followed by Tina Fey, Joe Namath, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Mariah - who appeared to pull her $100 from her cleavage - Tracy Morgan, Joan Rivers, Kim Kardashian, Seth Rogen, Lindsay , Sarah Jessica Parker, Mike Tyson, Gaga, and Stephen Colbert, who emptied $100 in pennies over Jimmy's head.
Opening the show, Jimmy poked fun at himself before emotionally thanking his wife Nancy, their six-month-old daughter Winnie and his parents.
He said: "I'm Jimmy Fallon and I'll be your host ... for now...
"I don't know how I got here. I grew up in Saugerties, New York. I had a great childhood. If you had told me I'd graduate high school, go on to 'Saturday Night Live' and then host the 'Tonight Show', I'd say ... I graduated high school?"
He then pointed out his parents in the audience and added: "I hope you're proud of me. As a kid, I remember wanting to watch Johnny Carson. If a kid now is staying up to watch me, I hope I do well. It means a lot to me. I Just want to take care of the show for awhile."
Later in the show, Jimmy was joined by Will Smith - who took part in a skit called 'The Evolution of Hip Hop Dancing' with the host -and U2 performed their latest single 'Invisible' from the roof of the Rockefeller Center.

Sandra Bullock skipped BAFTAs for sick son

Sandra Bullock missed the BAFTA Awards because her son was ill.
The 49-year-old star - who was nominated for Best Actress - had been due to walk the red carpet at London's Royal Opera House on Sunday (16.02.14), but skipped the ceremony to care for three-year-old Louis, the New York Post newspaper reports.
Meanwhile, 'Gravity' director Alfonso Cuaron has revealed he bonded with Sandra over their marriage splits, and thinks their shared struggled helped get to to the "emotional core" of the movie.
The filmmaker - who picked up the Best Director BAFTA - told The Daily Beast: "When [me and Sandra] met for the first time, we didn't talk about space or technology or any of that. We just talked about adversity--and not even in the context of the film, but in the context of our lives. In an abstract way.
"We'd happened to be going through a process of adversities and we were trying to make sense out of them. It created a very interesting bond between the two of us, and a common understanding of what we were looking for.
"A lot of work was on fine-tuning the screenplay to really try to get into the emotional core of every single one of these scenes, and that common understanding that we had on the subject was very important."
Alfonso split from second wife Annalisa Bugliani in 2008 while Sandra filed for divorce from Jesse James in April 2010 following reports he had cheated on her.

Noel Gallagher’s Oasis film in pipeline

Noel Gallagher has been approached by a studio to make a film about Oasis.
The band's former guitarist - who has barely spoken to brother Liam since their group split in 2009 - has revealed that he is considering the offer.
Speaking at The Weinstein Company BAFTA after party on Sunday (16.02.14), he told The Sun newspaper: "People have seriously approached me about that.
"It's something that's very strange but very tempting.
"If it means I get to come here and watch Brad Pitt eat a bit of salmon then I'll make a film a year if I can."
The 46-year-old musician, who attended the event at London's Rosewood Hotel with his wife Sara, wants actor Michael Fassbender to take the lead role in the new film but didn't specify whether he would want the star to play himself or brother Liam, 41.
The 'Wonderwall' hitmaker claims the working title for the film is '20 Years A Geezer'.
Although he complained about the music at the Weinstein party, calling it "utter s***e", Noel had fun rubbing shoulders with Hollywood stars.
He was seen chatting to Bradley Cooper during dinner at The Grosvenor House Hotel before the awards and actress Emma Thompson gave him a huge hug.
Meanwhile, Liam is set to hold castings in Los Angeles for a new Beatles film and has convinced Michael Winterbottom to direct the movie about the band's company Apple Corps and the break-up of the group.

Disclosure struggle to plan Lorde collaboration

Disclosure admit planning their collaboration with Lorde for the BRIT Awards has been "tough".
The duo, who are nominated for four awards at the event tomorrow night (19.02.14), are set to perform with the New Zealand singer but have struggled to organise their set for the show at London's O2 Arena.
Band member Howard Lawrence told the Daily Star newspaper: "It's been tough getting things ready as we've been on the road.
"So we've been constantly on the phone with Lorde, organising stuff. It was somebody else's idea to hook up so we haven't even met her yet.
"We've only been able to communicate remotely or through Skype because we've been so far away.
"We get a few hours' rehearsal before the performance so hopefully it will come together."
Brothers Guy and Howard were given a preview of the 17-year-old singer's talent when she sang her hit song 'Royals' live at the Grammy Awards last month.
Howard, 19, said: "She was amazing at the Grammys. That gave us an idea what to expect at the BRITs.
"It was a great night. We went to Daft Punk's party afterwards - they had their masks on - and met Pharrell [Williams], which was cool," he added: "Awards are a mass of chaos and fun."
Lorde is nominated for International Female Solo Artist at the BRITs, while Disclosure are up for British Group, British Breakthrough Act, British Single for their hit 'White Noise' with Aluna George and Mastercard British Album of the Year for their record 'Settle'.
The brothers feel their success is down to the popularity of dance music in Britain at the moment.
Howard added: "It is a special time for British music.
"When we're in the US all we get is: 'Why is the UK doing so much good dance music?'
"I kind of agree. The UK is leading the world in all types of music."
