Taylor Swift to scrap new songs

Taylor Swift is planning to scrap a year's worth of songs.
The country pop starlet is planning the follow-up to her highly successful album 'Red' but wants to ditch a lot of the material she has written since the release of her fourth studio album in 2012.
According to the Daily Star, she said: "I basically like to write for about two years before I finish with an album.
"I know whatever I write about at this point is going to get thrown away.
"I'm probably going to like it but it's going to sound a little too much like the last project that I had.
"It's only by the second year in that it ends up sounding like the next project."
"I know whatever I write about at this point is going to get thrown away"
The 24-year-old star has just completed the UK leg of her 'Red' Tour and was joined by Emeli Sandé for a version of 'Next To Me' at London's O2 Arena this week.
The blonde beauty has also sung on stage with Ed Sheeran, BRITs Critics' Choice winner Sam Smith and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue while she's been performing in the city.
Talking about writing her next album, she admits she is suffering from "anxiety", but explained: "You need to challenge yourself and trust your influences. I need to be inspired by different things.
"At this point I feel like staying the same would be the easy way to go but it's not the way that I want to go creatively.
"It's harder to call up people you don't know and work with them for the first time.
"And it's harder to think of topics you haven't covered and think of new ways to say old emotions that everyone feels - but that's the goal."

Paul Barber made parrot pals on Death In Paradise

Paul Barber had to feed parrots for his guest role in 'Death In Paradise' and admits he got quite attached to his feathered co-stars.
The 62-year-old actor - who is famous for playing Denzil in 'Only Fools and Horses' - portrays bird guide Captain Jack in the next episode of the crime comedy/drama and although he was wary of his scenes with the parrots at first he soon grew to like them.
He said: "I play a guy called Captain Jack who is a twitcher guide, you know, a bird watcher. So I'm a local guide in Saint-Marie and I've got a load of twitchers and I'm about to show them where this very rare parrot is - the Saint-Marie Parrot. One of our twitchers gets killed, and then everybody is under suspicion, including Captain Jack.
"I shot a scene with a parrot in my office for Parrot Tours on the island. I've got a couple of parrots in my office and I had to feed them. Funnily enough the parrots were great, I even looked away when I was feeding them. They just gently take the nuts out of your hands, you think, 'It's going to bite my fingers off!' But they gently take the nuts out from between your fingers. I had no problem with my animals and my parrots. I got quite fond of them."
Paul spent two weeks on location in Guadeloupe and he admits shooting the show - which stars Kris Marshall in the lead role as Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman - felt like a holiday at times because of the stunning Caribbean weather.
He told BANG Showbiz: "It wasn't the hardest job! it was brilliant out there ... I got to spend about two weeks in Guadeloupe, it was like a holiday. I got a couple of days off during filming and it was great to go round the island and go on a little tour. The crew, drivers, the runners everyone was brilliant. With it being an island on your day off, some of the drivers and runners would take you on a trip around the island. It was brilliant."
'Death In Paradise' continues on Tuesday 18 February at 9pm on BBC One.

Natalie Cassidy moved by EastEnders cancer storyline

Natalie Cassidy wants to do the 'EastEnders' cancer storyline justice.
The actress has reprised her role as Sonia Fowler in the BBC One soap and is finding it challenging starring in scenes about her on-screen mother Carol Jackson being diagnosed with the faulty BRCA gene because it brings back memories of her own mum's passing in 2002.
She told OK! magazine: "It has been a really difficult storyline for me, although that report was blown slightly out of proportion. Cancer is sadly something that will touch most of us in our lives in some way, so it's really important we get this storyline right. Hopefully, we will do it justice."
The bubbly brunette - who she played from 1993 to 2007, briefly reprising the part in 2010 and again in 2011 - is loving being back on the Walford set with her old friends and joked she will never leave again.
Natalie enthused: "I love being back. It feels like I've come home. I never want to leave and now I'm with so many old friends again, such as Adam Woodyatt and Steve McFadden - I've known these guys for years."
The 30-year-old actress is especially enjoying the addition of Danny Dyer to the cast, who she says has fitted in perfectly.
Natalie added: "Danny is doing really well. For a long time there have been talks about him joining the show, but nobody knew how he would fit in. But he's come along and slotted in perfectly. He's gone down such a treat with viewers as well."

Louis Tomlinson’s mother gives birth to twins

Louis Tomlinson's mother has given birth to twins.
The One Direction singer and his family are celebrating after his mother Johanna Poulston, 40, welcomed son Ernest and daughter Doris into the world on Monday (10.02.14).
The 22-year-old heartthrob, who also has four sisters, Lottie and Felicite, and another set of twins, Phoebe and Daisy, rushed to be with his family after the new babies were born prematurely at Barnsley Hospital in South Yorkshire.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Louis is over the moon. He met Ernest and Doris and fell in love with them.
"Family is massively important to him so he was made up that he was not abroad and was able to meet them so soon after they were born. His sisters mean the world to him so he's delighted to have two more siblings to spoil."
The new babies were delivered close to Louis' home town of Doncaster and Johanna and her son and daughter are said to be healthy and doing well.
A spokesman for Louis also said: "Daniel and Johanna are pleased to welcome twins -- a boy Ernest Rupert Atholl Deakin, 5 lbs 12oz, and a girl Doris Poppet Deakin, 4lbs 11oz.
"Daniel and Johanna would like to thank Barnsley Hospital, their special care unit, the Embrace team and Jessops special care unit. All the family are delighted."
Johanna has been with the twins' father, Daniel Deakin, 30, for two years after she split from Louis' dad Mark Tomlinson when he auditioned for 'The X Factor' in 2010.
Johanna and Daniel got engaged in March last year but are yet to set a date for the wedding.
Meanwhile, Louis and his One Direction bandmates - Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles - are on a three-month break after a hectic touring schedule but are set to appear at the BRIT Awards in London next week.

Simon Cowell won’t change nappies

Simon Cowell insists he will never change nappies.
'The X Factor' boss, who is about to become a father for the first time this month, would rather his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 37, change dirty nappies and claims welcoming a son into the world won't affect his life too much.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "I haven't changed a nappy before and I won't. I just can't do it," adding, "I would like to be at the birth ... but a little bit far away."
The 54-year-old star reportedly has a private jet on standby as Lauren is based in New York and Simon is currently in the UK for the new series of 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Talking about impending fatherhood, he said: "It hasn't arrived yet but it is not going to change too much. I got the dogs in first and had a good time with them.
"Lauren knows what my work schedule is so she is cool with that and we will travel a little bit.
"We made the decision to come back to the UK and she wants to live here for a while."
Simon and Manhattan socialite Lauren are reportedly planning on getting married in coming months and their baby is due on February 28.
Speaking at the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions in Hammersmith, London, yesterday (11.02.14), Simon said: "I am keeping my phone on during auditions 100 percent. If it happens I just have to go and dash onto a plane.
"I probably will be nervous when it all happens. I am going to watch 'Father of the Bride' tonight to get used to that."
The music mogul added: "I have got a feeling my child is going to be really naughty."

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones plan to renew vows

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are planning to renew their wedding vows.
The couple - who have children Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10, together - separated last August after 14 years together but reconciled later in the year and now want to reaffirm their commitment to one another on their shared birthday in September.
A source told Britain's Grazia magazine: "Michael and Catherine have been through a lot together over the last few months.
"They would love to renew their wedding vows and have thought about doing it on their shared birthday, 25 September."
The Hollywood couple have sought therapy to help get their marriage on track and now have a number of systems in place to help maintain their relationship.
The source explained: "Counselling has been a massive help for Catherine and Michael. They've been working on different ways to express feelings - including daily journals.
"They only show them to each other if things get bad - it's a way of giving them an outlet.
"They're going to take one month apart a year - they've realised how important it is to take a breather and allow themselves time to take stock."

Tom Hiddleston: Fame is odd

Tom Hiddleston finds fame "weird".
The 33-year-old actor wasn't prepared to be catapulted to the spotlight following his role as Loki in the 'Thor' and 'Avengers' movies and insists the new found attention caught him by surprise.
He added: "I never expected it. Fame is weird and amorphous and unpredictable. All acting is for an audience. It's just that my audience now is ... quite large. At the end of the shooting 'Thor' Kenneth Branagh took Chris Hemsworth and myself aside and said, 'In 12 months, boys, prepare yourselves!' We were both just, 'Nah!' We couldn't imagine it."
Tom finds fans often attribute things that have happened in their lives to him and although he is sometimes flattered by it he knows there are many other stars who dealt with "obsession".
The actor added: "Some people have been a bit obsessive about attributing responsibility for things that have happened in their lives to me. You can to say, 'Bless you for saying those nice things, but I've done nothing.' You sort of have to talk them off the ledge a bit. But that's the nature of obsession. I know a lot of other actors who've dealt with it."

Joel Kinnaman’s initial hesitations about RoboCop

Joel Kinnaman initially didn't want to be in 'RoboCop'.
The 34-year-old actor - who plays cop Alex Murphy who is turned into a cyborg law enforcement officer in the movie - admits there is an expectation which comes with being part of a re-make of a film and didn't think the forthcoming film was "right" for him when he first entered talks for his role.
He explained: "There's always this hesitation when you're doing a re-make of a beloved movie, and I felt exactly the same way. When I was first approached by my agents and they told me there was going to be a re-make of 'RoboCop' I told them I didn't think that was right for me. I actually told them I'll see it in the theatres and it's not for me."
Kinnaman insists he was a fan of director Jose Padilha's previous work and was drawn to the film because of the filmmaker's concept of the story of 'RoboCop'.
He told collider.com: "Then they told me Jose Padilha's was going to do this movie ... I consider him one of the most interesting directors in the world. His films always have a strong social and political point of view. And he has got a poetic and gritty visual style and the acting is always top-notch. When I found out he was going to do this re-make I knew that there was going to be an interesting idea behind it.
"Honestly, I was amazed that he knew who I was and was honoured that he wanted to sit down with me, so of course I did.
"When he told me the story he wanted to tell by using the concept of 'RoboCop' I was blown away."

Nina Nesbitt: My exes should expect songs about them

Nina Nesbitt says her ex-boyfriends should expect to have songs written about them.
The 'Selfies' singer writes her music based on her own life experiences and says her lyrics are often inspired by failed romances.
Nina always tells her exes about the tracks and plays them the songs, and she claims it's just part of the package if you date a songwriter.
When asked if she pens songs about guys she has dated, she said: "Yeah there's a couple. I've played the songs to the people they're about and they're cool with it, so I think that's fine. I think if you're friends with a singer/songwriter or you're going out with one it's kind of expected. But it's not too bad!"
Nina releases her debut album 'Peroxide' on February 17 and admits the majority of the tracks on the LP are about her former boyfriends.
Although she is proud of the whole record, 'The Hardest Part' is the song the 19-year-old Scottish songstress is most proud of.
Nina - whose latest single 'Selfies' is out now - told BANG Showbiz: "There's a quite a few songs about boyfriends, basically the majority of them! I like to write about my own experiences. Most of the songs on the album, about 90 percent of them are straight up my experiences. Other ones are half-and-half, where it's somebody's else's experience I've written about and then included mine as well.
"'The Hardest Part' is definitely my favourite, it's the last track on the album and it's a very personal one to me. I like 'Tough Luck' as well.
"I think 'The Hardest Part' sums up the album really. It's quite a sad one, it's about timing in a relationship where you want to be with this person but it's just not the right time and then you don't know if it ever will be. It's pretty depressing, but it's my most honest song and it seems to get the best reaction live."

Amanda Bynes’ mother praised by judge

Amanda Bynes' mother has been praised for helping her to turn her life around.
Lynn Bynes became The 'Easy A' actress's temporary conservator, giving her control of the star's personal and financial affairs, last July just days after Amanda, who was discharged from treatment for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in December, was sectioned for her erratic behaviour when she set a fire in a neighbour's driveway in Thousand Oaks, California.
And the judge overseeing Lynn's conservator duties in Oxnard credited her for Amanda's amazing progress in court on Tuesday (11.02.14), according to TMZ.com, saying: "Good job, Mrs. Bynes. Well done."
A source recently revealed that Amanda's parents are thrilled that her life is more stable but don't think she is ready to move out of their home just yet, even though she is eager to get her own place.
The insider said: "It's not likely she will be moving out of their house for at least the next several months."
The 27-year-old star, who previously expressed a desire to start her own clothing line, recently began taking a fashion design course in Orange County and commutes there every day.
The insider said: "It's only one class, but it's enough to keep Amanda busy. When not in class or at the doctor, Amanda has been frequenting the gym. Her parent's have told friends they feel that they have their beloved daughter back for the first time in years."

Philip Seymour Hoffman’s diaries found

Philip Seymour Hoffman kept diaries about his battle to stay sober.
The late actor, who was found dead in his apartment in New York City from an apparent heroin overdose on February 2, wrote detailed accounts about his struggle to control his "demons," drug deals and his desire to stay clean by attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings before his death.
A source told NBC News: "It's stream of consciousness and difficult to follow. In one line he refers to 'Frank who always owes money' and on the same page he writes about a 15-year-old girl from Texas.
"It seems he did at least part of it in rehab. It definitely contained some soul-searching. But there is also a fair amount of rambling that doesn't make sense."
Police officers found two diaries in the 'Capote' star's home and some of the hand-written entries were made during Philip's last stint in rehab last year.
The star of 'The Hunger Games' reportedly fell off the wagon in 2012 after being sober for more than 20 years and he entered rehab in May 2013.
The Oscar-winning actor, 46, was allegedly found with around 70 bags of heroin inside his apartment after his estranged partner, Mimi O'Donnell, sent his friend David Bar Katz over to check on him when he failed to show up to see their three children, Cooper, 10, Tallulah, seven, and Willa, five.
Some 400 mourners, including Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore and Diane Keaton, attended Philip's private funeral at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Manhattan last Friday (07.02.14).

Rupert Sanders still loves Kristen Stewart?

Rupert Sanders allegedly still has feelings for Kristen Stewart.
The 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director's marriage to model Liberty Ross crumbled when his fling with the 23-year-old actress was exposed in Los Angeles in July 2012, and he is reportedly still pining over the brunette beauty.
A source told gossip website RadarOnline.com: "His family is wrecked. Even though he has admitted to everyone in his life that the long-brewing affair was a terrible idea, he still hasn't been able to get over his feelings for Kristen.
"He fell in love with her a long time before he laid a finger on her, and he's finding it difficult to shake."
The 42-year-old filmmaker is still friends with Kristen, who split from her long-term boyfriend Robert Pattinson in May 2013 after they struggled to move past her "momentary indiscretion," and hopes they might have a future together.
The insider said: "Rupert, against all better judgement, still holds out hope that he and Kristen can get things going again, but he's completely deluded - she would never put her career on the line like that again."
Kristen told the March issue of US Marie Claire magazine that she has no regrets about her mistakes and has realised she can't control her heart.
The 'Twilight Saga' star said: "I stand by every mistake I've ever made, so judge away."
